Haunted History of : Wilderhope Manor ,Wenlock Edge,Shropshire, England.U.K
Wilderhope Manor is a 16th-century manor house in the care of the National Trust. It is located on Wenlock Edge 7 miles (11 km) south west of Much Wenlock in Shropshire, England. The manor is a Grade I listed building and since the mid 20th century has been used as a youth hostel.
A diehard Royalist, Smalman's home was once besieged by Roundheads during the latter stages of the Civil War. The Major managed to escape on horseback, his ghost now seen galloping away from the building. The manor itself is also reported to be haunted by both Smalman and the shade of a young girl who smiles at any witnesses before screaming horribly. The other frequently witnessed ghost at Wilderhope Manor is possibly the most terrifyingly chilling that you will ever hear of, and one that leaves even the most hardened of Eerie Evenings' staff rather apprehensive and excited at the prospect of encountering it. This particular spirit appears in the unassuming form of a little girl, who approaches visitors with a beaming smile. However, her smile then suddenly disappears and she lets out a bloodcurdling scream, leaving those who have witnessed it completely petrified and clamouring to get as far away from the place as possible.
The Manor's owner during the English Civil War was Major Thomas Smallman. He was a Royalist who was forced to flee from Cromwell’s approaching troops. After managing to escape on horseback, Major Smallman took a do-or-die plunge down a steep slope at Wenlock Edge. His horse was killed but Smallman survived thanks to an apple tree breaking his fall. Since then the ghosts of Smallman and his horse are said to appear in an area now known as Major’s Leap and have been said to have been seen at the manor.
Built in the latter part of the sixteenth century by Francis Smallman whose initials, and those of his wife Ellen, appear in the plasterwork of the ceiling.
A writer spent a week's holiday at Wilderhope because he'd heard about the ghost of a cavalier who haunts the main hall.
For the first night nothing happened but the following day when he was up on scaffolding painting the fine plaster ceiling he suddenly became aware of a tall figure standing in the doorway.
At first he thought it was the warden checking up on him but then he noticed that the man was dressed in a full cloak, a floppy hat with a large plume, and thigh length boots. He then thought he was a visitor in fancy dress, but when he said 'Hello' all the visitor did was to raise his head slightly, before walking across the room and passing through a solid wall.

I visit a haunted manor * Real Ghost Footage!*
So, i spent last weekend at the well known YHA Wilderhope Manor, up in Much Wenlock.
This is my first visit to Wilderhope Manor and i can definitely say that it changed my opinion on hauntings and ghost sightings, as many events happened across the weekend.
Friday saw us meet up with the Spooktacular team and well known para-psycologist Dr Ciaran O'Keefe, who guided us through the evenings viduals and gave us an insight into the work he studies and helped keep the guests grounded with evidence and his own beliefs as to what the hauintings were.
Saturday was a workshop day with one of the UK's best known Psychic mediums David Wells, who helped all of the guests including myself, develop our psychic skills and abilities.
Thanks to the amazing Spooktacular events for an amazing weekend and i hope to return in future for even more investigations and hopefully more ghostly happenings on camera!

Wightwick Manor 60fps (learned some new editing skills)
This video is dedicated to the memory of my good friend Sarah who's birthday it is today. Rest in peace my dear.
THE MANOR
Welcome to Wightwick Manor between Bridgnorth and Wolverhampton now owned and run by the National Trust. This a Grade 1 listed Victorian Manor house built in 1887 for the Mander family. This is a William Morris Style arts and crafts movement building, one of only a few remaining. It was built in two stages by Edward Ould of Liverpool with the Great Parlour wing completed in 1893. It has original Morris wall papers and a superb collection of Pre-Raphaelite's.
On a more personal note inside of this building reminds me of pictures that I have seen of Borley Rectory built in 1863 and said to have been the most haunted house in England. Unfortunately it burned down under mysterious circumstances in 1939 and the remaining structure was demolished. I say personal because the story of Borley Rectory has long been the most interesting ghost story I've read about and is what got me into paranormal research many years ago. I intend to visit Borley at some time in the future and conduct an investigation, however I hear the locals are not too keen on visitors.
THE VIDEO
I have been learning a few new filming and editing techniques which is one of the reasons I haven't posted for a little while. Good editing takes a bit of time to learn, hopefully when mastered I will be posting a lot more often. So this is the first time I have completely edited the whole thing using Photoshop, not easy to learn from scratch but it does do a great job allowing me to upload this video at 60 fps unlike Movie maker, which to be honest, has given me some issues.
As for the filming, the time lapse and cinematic parts at the beginning are running at 60 fps, recorded on my cheap 4K action cam(this was only £40) and using a home made(not by me!) 2 axis gimbal. The main part of the explore is filmed at 60 fps on my Gopro 5 using a manual steadycam. The Gopro picks up a lot of noise(audio) from the gimbal and no good if you want to record sound. Finally the vlog parts are recorded on my Nikkon D3200 at 24 fps and using a Rode video micro. Too much info maybe ha ha.
Enjoy Folks!

Manor house
A manor house is a large country house, which was historically the capital residence or messuage within a manor, the basic unit of territorial organisation in the feudal system in Europe, in which dwelled the lord of the manor. It formed the administrative centre of a manor and within its great hall were held the lord's manorial courts, communal meals with manorial tenants and great banquets. The term is today loosely applied to smaller country houses, frequently dating from the late medieval era, which formerly housed the gentry. They were often fortified, but this was frequently intended more for show than for defense. Manor houses existed in most European countries where feudalism existed, where they were sometimes known as castles, palaces, and so on. Many buildings, such as schools, are named Manor; the reason behind this is because the building was or is close to a manor house.

Shipton Hall (Shropshire) 11.06.15
Shipton Hall was built around 1587 by Richard Lutwyche to replace a much older black & white timbered house which was destroyed by fire earlier in the 16th century. The house has been described as an exquisite specimen of Elizabethan architecture set in a quaint old fashioned garden, the whole forming a picture which, as regards both form and colour, satisfies the artistic sense of even the most fastidious. Inside the house there is an interesting combination of elegant Georgian roccoco decor with some beautiful Tudor panelling and timberwork.
