My First Japanese Onsen Experience | Nozawa Onsen
The Japanese Onsen, or Japanese hot spring, are a way of life in Japan. At the foothills of Mt. Kenashi lies the sleepy ski town of Nozawa Onsen. Home to just under 4000 people, its built on local farming and seasonal tourism.
That is because, until recently, very few homes in town had their own showers or baths. The local onsen was the daily bathing ritual - and for many villagers it still is.
Throughout the village there’s about thirty different types of hot springs and fourteen public baths.
Most are tucked away behind beautiful wooden doors hidden from the untrained tourist eye.
For my first onsen experience, I ventured into the traditionally-styled Furusato No Yu.
For my second Japanese onsen, I went into SPArena - a newly renovated Onsen which incorporates indoor/outdoor pools.
The big difference between SPArena and the other onsens around town is that you can wear your bathing suit and men/women/children can bath together.
There’s also a restaurant and massage room. It looks like a giant YMCA.
Throw your stuff in a locker, hit the showers and then take your pick on one of the oversized hot tubs!
And perhaps the greatest aspect of this experience, after a soothing soak is the relax room!
Thanks to an invitation by the great staff over at the Ryokan Sakaya hotel, I upgraded from the staff lodge and checked into the one of the most luxurious traditional Japanese hotels in town.
I'm escorted to my room by a lovely little woman who explains the layout and then prepares a welcoming green tea.
She then says that I needed to change into a more appropriate outfit for dinner, and proceeds to show me how.
Dressed to impress, I make my way downstairs to meet the director of the Nozawa Onsen Ski School and his family for dinner. And I had no idea what to expect…
What came next is me joyfully lost in sake-infused state of bold flavors and new discoveries.

Best of Thailand - My Favourite Places Ever!
My Thailand Travel Series
--------------------------------------
• Locations •
Bangkok - Whether you’re putting on your best and having a drink in a skybar and diving into infinity pools or you’re necking bottles of Chang in the street, pounding Phad Thai and dancing the night away on Khao San Road - Bangkok definitely has something for everyone. When did I go? September ’16 & April ’17
Chiang Mai - Mauy Thai, street food, beautiful markets, Buddhist temples, cooking classes, elephant experiences (DON’T RIDE THEM), awesome nightlife & the nicest people! When did I go? Regularly between September ’16 - March ’17
GVI Chiang Mai (elephants) - This program gives volunteers an opportunity to engage with and study elephants in their natural forest habitat. Whilst these elephants are technically still captive & have mahouts(carers), they are very well cared for. This experience was one of the best of my life and I’d highly recommend you research ETHICAL venues if you would like to see elephants. When did I go? Lived on project from September ’16 - March ’17
Koh Phangan - This place is all about timing! If your goal here is to attend half/full moon or jungle parties & you’re only interested in getting drunk, dabbling in shakes etc then you will love this island if you keep to Haad Rin in the islands SouthEast. If you want a calm and relaxing experience I would recommend the South & West side of the island and avoid half/moon party event dates and you’ll have a wonderful time. When did I go? November ’15
Koh Phi Phi - This island is very popular! If you’re a backpacker looking for the most beautiful sights and happening nightlife then this is your ultimate island! I personally loved the nightlife here because it had all the positive attributes of a full moon party but was much more relaxed and fun for everyone involved. This island also offers many boat tours out to see “The Beach” on the neighbouring island of Phi Phi Leh which is definitely worth the trip. When did I go? December ’15
Pai - This bohemian town in the far North of Thailand is a MUST SEE! Stunning scenery all around the town, grab a scooter and drive to waterfalls, hot springs & mountain caves! I love this town! When did I go? September ’16

PROSUMER
Panasonic GH5
The only camera that can compete with this beast of a camera in a similar price range is the Sony A7SII. The Panasonic is equal or superior in every way especially with easy of use and battery life. Exception being the low light performance on the Sony is 1000x better.
Regular sized DSLR, takes up a fair amount of space.
14-140mm main lens
This my main lens, it’s not awesome for vloggers as the widest you can get is 28mm BUT it zooms up to 280mm which I think if you’re looking for an adaptable lens that can excel in most shooting situations this lens is superb.
Standard sized lens, much smaller than the full frame lens.
25mm lens
I use this mostly for cinematic videography. This lens is very fast at f1.7 so it can produce stunning bokeh. Awesome photography lens also!
Tiny lens, very portable!
Rode VideoMic Pro!
You can’t get better hotshoe audio on the market than this awesome mic! I’d recommend getting a deadcat for recording outside!
It's a fair size but not too big either!
BUDGET/AFFORDABLE
Canon G7X Mark II -
This is without a doubt my favourite and best camera. It’s rugged, has an amazing sensor, the battery life is great! This is THE best camera to get as a vlogger as a point & shoot.
It’s super small which means you’ll take it everywhere!
You NEED this muffler for it! -
The MicroMuff Skinny is a super cheap muffler for your G7X that’ll become a lifesaver in outdoor shooting situations!
Tiny! No extra space required!
Action Cameras & Drone
DJI Phantom 4 -
This drone has amazing 4K and the flight controls are awesome. If you’re looking for something more pro Id recommend the P4Pro. If you just fancy a drone for some vlogs/fun/creative projects I’d recommend the Mavic Pro.
Very large, you'll need a specialised bag/case for this!
GoPro Hero 5 Black -
This ultimate action cam speaks for itself really. GoPro or go home! The easiest camera in the world to use probably! Battery life sucks get extras! TINY size!
Backup shots taken on my iPhone 6s
There are plenty of better phones out there, I just like Apple.

Tour of Jeju Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls via Insta 360 ONE X
Hello, I'm Mr. Roadview who protects your portrait rights.
I went to Jeju island for 3 days from September 16 to 18.
Upload Road View 2.0 official video for Jeju Island trip.
(Link to Road View 2.0 test images:
Some of the expenses for the trip to Jeju Island were funded by Jeju THE Rent Car.

In addition, we purchased an Insta 360 ONE X camera through 'Advanced for Youth Job' in the online youth center, and edited and uploaded a 360-degree photo shoot.
Half of the footage is from a 360-degree Insta 360 ONE X.
The other half was made into the Sony 4K Action Cam ‘FDR-X3000’.
And with the ZOOM H1 microphone, we have a more three-dimensional sound of nature.
Today, I visited Cheonjiyeon Falls, one of the famous places in Jeju Island.
Cheonjiyeon Falls has been officially certified as a UNESCO World Geographical Site.
‘Cheonjiyeon’ means a pond where the sky and the earth meet.
The waterfall is 22 meters long and the pond below is 20 meters deep.
The Cheonjiyeon Falls is called the 'History of Natural Monument’.
There is a ellipticus tree designated as Natural Monument No. 163, and a warm-temperate forest itself is designated as Natural Monument No. 379, which prevents logging, gathering and hunting. The pond also houses the natural monument No. 27 'Giant Mottled Eel.'
Taking care of tourists visiting Cheonjiyeon Falls, the trail is well constructed. The optimal photo zone is installed to help visitors take pictures safely.
We are going to upload the contents of Road View of Jeju tour sequentially. Please look forward to it.
Keep an eye on 'Mr. Road View' video with ‘Like, Subscribe, Set Alarm'!
* In order to protect your precious portrait rights, Mr. Road view is working first to cover the faces of passers-by. (For vehicle signs, this is not a portrait right.)
* The title and contents of this book are translated into English and Japanese other than Korean.
* Indiscriminate slanderous and abusive comments will be deleted without notification.
* This video is a visualization of the Road View service, which is currently in the picture. Beyond the simple road guide function, it has cultural significance to provide customized guidance service to foreigners who can not find their way. It also has a historical meaning that you can look back over time after you have photographed the streets of Korea that change every now and then.
* This video is based on the idea of YouTuber 'Jin Yong-Jin'.

In one day, we had 7 delicious street foods all made in the PUNJAB style. I didn’t realize until after we finished eating, but we didn’t eat any meat or chicken at all! It was true vegetarian HEAVEN!
We started out the day with an AMAZING Indian breakfast in two different Indian street food restaurants. The first was the famous Amritsar Kulcha. I’m pretty sure you can get this dish in Delhi, but here in Amritsar is the origin of this stuffed baked bread from HEAVEN. It’s stuffed with a spiced potato mix and onions. It’s sprinkled with a masala spice and then put DEEP into the Tandoori oven and baked. It’s served to you on a plate with Chole chickpea curry and onion chutney.
The next AMAZING Breakfast we had on our street food tour was the Poori and Chole with Potato sabzi. A little similar with the chole, but the potato sabzi was nice and sweet and tangy and very UNIQUE!
Afterwards, we took our TUK TUK around town for some more amazing street foods. We enjoyed a street corner tofu curry served with a pancake and then we went to have a sweet and sour buttermilk lassi.
After this, we went to the LEGENDARY Kesar De Dhaba all vegetarian curry restaurant that uses PURE desi ghee. It was extremely flavourful and just a little spicy. We ordered the VEG thali and it was incredible! The paratha bread was so fluffy and covered in pure desi ghee, absolute HEAVEN! We also ate some dessert, a fruit kulfi ice cream!
After this we went for a couple more street foods in Amritsar. We were exploring the back lanes and found an amazing mango fruit stall! It was dried and covered in a slightly spicy and sour and tangy sauce. There were a lot of flavours in this Indian recipe. It was spicy, sour, tangy, sweet, peppery, acidic, pungent, and made your mouth pucker when you ate it! Very UNIQUE!
After this, we went for our final street food, an ICONIC street food in India, the samosa. It was stuffed with potato, cumin seeds, and spices.
The addresses for these street food restaurants in Amritsar, India, are listed below:
1) Breakfast Street Food Kulcha at Monu Kulcha Hut
Gali No, 10, Loharka Road, Ranjit Vihar, N.R.I. Colony, NRI Colony, Gumtala, Amritsar, Punjab 143001, India
2) Amazing Poori and Chole and desserts at Kanha Sweets
Shop 1, Opposite Bijli Pehalwan Mandir, Lawrence Road, White Avenue, Amritsar
3) Fairly OK veg curry DEEP in the back lanes of Amritsar (honestly can’t remember this address, go for the Kesar De Dhaba instead).
4) Delicious Street Lassi at Ahuja Lassi
Near Hindu College, Amritsar, India
5) BEST Vegetarian Curry in the WORLD @ Kesar De Dhaba, Amritsar

Gravel Bike Vs Cyclo-Cross Bike | What Really Is The Difference?
The cyclocross bike is the original off road, drop bar bike. A versatile bike that can ride on road, and off. Back in the day, they had knobbly 25mm wide tyres, powerful cantilever brakes, which were so ineffective that a cross race was about 40% running. As you can see, they have evolved.
In association with Canyon.

They have wider tyres than road bikes, for more grip and more comfort, they are a little taller to give greater pedal clearance for when riding off road, they have slightly more stable handling so that you can keep control when sliding around in slippery or lose conditions.
But now, there’s a new off road bike in town. The gravel bike. Wider, grippier tyres than a road bike, geometry that makes it easier, safer and more fun to ride in lose conditions, more comfort, either from the frame, or the components on them...
Hang on a minute, wider tyres, more stable geometry, longer wheelbase, comfortable… That’s what mine’s got. You could be forgiven for wondering then, just what on earth the difference between a cross bike and a gravel bike really is.
Canyon have kindly lent us an example of each, their Inflite cross bike and their Grail gravel bike, so we can really get to grips with this issue, one that’s really important to a lot of you out there looking at their next bike purchase. It’s going to be tough Si, riding these two brand new bikes on the finest dirt that the Dolomites has to offer isn’t it? Well it might be for you, given that off road is pretty new territory for you right? Yes, I would describe myself as thoroughly green. It will be particularly interesting to get our two different perspectives on it. Mine, fresh, yours, more experienced.

Woman Gives Birth Alone in Jail Cell
Video of a Colorado inmate giving birth all alone in a jail cell has shocked the world. Outside the cell, correctional officers at the facility in Denver were allegedly watching on surveillance video and did nothing to come to her aid. The inmate, Diana Sanchez, 27, was eight months pregnant when she was arrested for identity theft. Two weeks after her arrest, at 5 a.m., she went into labor and every moment was caught on surveillance camera.
