SAFARI GUIDE IN SA -
When I was planning my trip to South Africa and the safari component to our honeymoon, one thing that I've said before is that it was actually pretty challenging because there just isn't a lot of information out there about what it's actually like to be on a safari in Kruger National Park. Sure there were blog posts about it but when it came to YouTube videos providing a walkthrough of the park, camp life, and self-drive, there just wasn't much out there. Sure this video may not cover every single aspect of Kruger but for someone that stayed there for 3 nights and 4 days, it gives you a look into what our experience was like and the two of the larger camps we experienced - Skukuza and Lower Sabie.

Tour South Africa with Hotspots2c
Located on the southernmost tip of Africa, South Africa provides seemingly countless reasons to visit. You could embark on an urban adventure in vibrant cities, get away from it all along the coast where two oceans pay homage to the shoreline and escape to nature on a safari or trek through the mountains.
South Africa landscapes are as vast as the country is diverse, to experience it, you need a trip that encompasses much of what this destination offers. Travel from Cape Town to Johannesburg with Hotspots2c, to give yourself a real chance of discovering South Africa.
Set off from Cape Town along Route 62, which is famed for being the longest wine route in the world. As you come across vineyards, taste the country’s aged nectar from ancient cellars while your other senses become entangled with soaring peaks, twisting passes, and the Karoo Plains. This road will bring you to Oudtshoorn. It may be a cosy town, but it’s also the ostrich capital of the world, where your palette will be indulged further with Ostrich steak and kebabs. In just this one short breath of journey, you’ll begin to experience some of South Africa’s celebrated diversity.
As you continue onwards towards the idyllic seaside town of Jeffrey’s Bay (perfect for a spot of surfing), you’ll touch down in Sedgefield, where you can explore some of the country’s heritage and wilderness. As you venture further, the pitstops for South Africa’s nature become even better. You’ll visit Addo Elephant National Park, spend a couple of nights beside unspoilt coastline in Chintsa, learn more about the country's complicated past in Coffee Bay and stand on the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains.
If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also set off on a safari in Kruger National Park, one of the greatest wildlife destinations in the world, and experience the African bush. The final leg of this epic trip is in Johannesburg, an ever-changing city that's considered to be the heart of South Africa.

5 Safari Camps to Visit in South Africa
5 Safari Camps to Visit in South Africa
TRAVEL HUSTLE REPEAT GEAR ►
MY FILM MAKING KIT ►
During my trip to South Africa I had the chance to spend over two weeks in the African bush. I visited five different safari camps, four were in Sabi Sands and the Klaserie Nature Reserve. The fifth one is located in the Gondwana Game Reserve. Here are the top 5 safari camps to visit in South Africa.
Umkumbe Safari Lodge is located just outside the iconic Kruger National Park, in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. Umkumbe is considered to be one of the best wildlife viewing regions in all of South Africa. Their incredible lodge boasts 9 rooms offering guests comfort and luxury while still having the real “African” experience. Enjoy air-conditioning, indoor/outdoor bathrooms, full mosquito netting in all rooms, a pool, fitness center and a number of other amenities, plus some amazing outdoor dining and lounge areas with stunning views of the surrounding wildlife.
Africa on Foot in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve just outside of Kruger National Park. A 5-room stay, this boutique camp can accommodate up to 14 people with some excellent living quarters and incredible daily excursions. Africa on Foot can accommodate all sorts of travelers, including families with young children. Private, specialized walks are available for those who might be too young to enjoy the normal, scheduled walks and drives. One the coolest and most unique outdoor packages, book a stay at Africa on Foot the next time you’re in South Africa for an experience that you’ll never forget!
nDutzi Safari Camp inside the Klaserie Game Reserve is a small four-room (8 person maximum) safari camp, this memorable stay provides guests an intimate safari experience in an untouched corner of the greater Kruger National Park. Comfortable, personalized rooms and a relaxed lodging atmosphere are balanced by a vast & wild private reserve, where guests can spot some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife. For travelers looking to have a nearly private safari experience in an intimate setting, a stay at the nDutzai Safari Camp in Klaserie Game Reserve is an absolute must!
nThambo Tree Camp in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, an area situated in the heart of the Kruger National Park. The location provides Big Five safaris and walking safaris, offering guests the chance to admire hippos, giraffes, zebras and a variety of birds. nThambo Tree Camp prefers to have an open camp to allow animals to pass through unlike other parks that fence animals out. Their mission is to bring people closer to nature, which is why it isn't a mere a hotel in the bush, but rather a way to have an authentic bush experience.
Kwena Lodge inside the Gondwana Game Reserve is only 4 hours from Cape Town and a half hour from Mossel Bay, this conveniently located 11,000-hectare reserve is a fantastic place to catch some of the region’s most iconic animals. Kwena Lodge can accommodate all sorts of travelers with their 13 huts (suitable for two) and 13 villas (four to eight people), so no matter what size of group visiting, there’s bound to be room for all.
For those looking to go on safari, Kwena offers game drives (where everything from the Big 5 to Endangered Black Rhinos & Cape Mountain Zebras can be spotted) as well as game walks and junior ranger programs (perfect for children.) With a moderate climate for most of the year, beaches, shark cage diving and other big attractions just nearby, Kwena Lodge/Gondwana Game Reserve is an unforgettable experience and convenient stop off for anyone traveling through South Africa.
We hope you enjoyed the top 5 safari camps to visit in South Africa!

5 Safari Camps to Visit in South Africa
10 Best Places to Visit in South Africa - Travel Video
South Africa has all of the features that travelers long for in a vacation destination: fine weather, gorgeous scenery, great beaches, modern accommodations and superb cuisine. The southern tip of Africa also offers an exotic array of once-in-a-lifetime adventures, from off-roading on a safari to diving with great white sharks. It’s hard to name another holiday destination that offers as much variety. Here’s a look ash the best places to visit in South Africa.
Knysna South Africa - The Heart of the Garden Route | 90+ Countries With 3 Kids
Located on South Africa’s famous Garden Route, Knysna (pronounced as ‘ny-zah’), is one of the country’s most famous locations. It is a natural paradise of lush, indigenous forests, tranquil lakes, wildlife and golden beaches. The breathtakingly pretty lagoon is now a protected marine reserve that is home to the extraordinary sea horse and over 200 species of fish.
The endangered Knysna seahorse is named after the town and can be spotted during a good snorkeling session in the estuary.
We really enjoyed the view from the heads - a striking geological spot made up of a pair of huge, brightly coloured cliffs lying at the mouth of the lagoon, flanking a channel of potentially treacherous water that flows into Knysna lagoon. We were told that from the banks of the rocks we could see whales because Knysna is on the migratory route of the Southern Right and other species but unfortunately we weren't able to see one these marine mammals.
Enjoy the video and let us know where you’re watching from!

Now before you actually see the falls, you hear them, you feel them, this rumbling, churning water, the largest falling curtain of water in the world twice the size of Niagara.

This video is about Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve, also known as Rhino and Lion Park. The Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve lies roughly 40 kilometres north-west of Johannesburg and offers a chance to see white rhino, lion, buffalo, hippo and other species of game up close and within half an hour of the major Johannesburg metropolis. One of the most popular tourist attractions and holiday destinations in South Africa. The Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve The Nearest Faraway Place is a privately owned game reserve covering some 1200 hectares which has opened to the public in 1990. After humble beginnings visitors may now view in excess of 650 heads of game, including some very rare and endangered species. The reserve falls within the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site (COHWHS).If you get to the Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve at feeding time, you’re virtually guaranteed to see predators, as they are hand-fed – a bit like cheating, but a big bonus if you haven’t the time to head off to the Kruger National Park on safari. You can also select to go on a game drive offered by the reserve with a knowledgeable ranger, and with roughly 600 head of game within the reserve, a visit is bound to include almost all of the reserve’s species - endangered species such as cheetah, wild dog and the Cape vulture.
