Neustadt Springs Brewery is a leading Ontario craft brewery for sale and nestled in the quaint community of Neustadt Ontario, which was a German settlement founded in 1856. In 1857 construction began on the 22,000 square foot stone building that Neustadt Springs calls home. The site was initially selected because of the Crystal Springs that flow beneath the ground. Forming the foundation of the building are 4 caverns, which the springs flow directly through at a rate of 33,000 litres per day in the summer. Brewing initially began in this building in 1859 by the Huether family, who had a home connected via tunnels to the caverns of the building. The current brewery opened its doors in 1997 and has since become the most awarded craft brewer in Ontario. There are 3 recipes that are distributed through the LCBO, with the remainder of the recipes being sold direct to restaurants. The owners are looking to retire and would like to sell the building and brewery operation to facilitate more time being spent with family.
The brewery consists of a 20HL steam fired brewhouse, 4 x 40HL fermenting tanks, 1 x 40HL holding tank, 1 x 40HL hot liquor tank, 3 x 40HL aging tanks, 2 x 40HL bright tanks, a D.E. filter and 6 head canning machine. The retail area of the brewery consists of a 32 seat tasting are with fully accessible washrooms and provisions for a prep kitchen.

For our anniversary we dicided to check out a local brewery. So much history for a little town, and we learned a lot from the owners about brewing beer and what the industry was like in the early days of craft beer during the 60's. More than worth the $10 for the tour, and I might just have found my new favourite beer...mmmmm

About an hour north of Guelph in the middle of nowhere lies the quaint little town of Neustadt Ontario. Yes Neustadt is a sleepy little village, but they have one of Ontario's older Brewries producing high quality craft beers. Neustadt Springs Brewery opened late in 1997 over grounds that once housed one of Canada's oldest remaining brewing buildings originally established in 1859. The 10W30 is a English Style Brown Ale at 5.5% abv that shows smooth and warm malty character with a lush mouthfeel and savory characters.
The Myponga Micro Brewery
The Myponga Brewery is the first micro brewery on the Fleurieu Peninsula and produces a range of beverages including: three stouts, nine beers, two Black and Tans, Bloody Lovely (Stout and Lemon), Smooth Lager with a hint of Chilli, Ginger Bubbly, Cheeky Sars, Lemon Bubbly and Raspberry Pasha.
Five non-alcoholic drinks are produced: Ginger Beer, Lemon Fizz, Sarsaparilla, Ruby Cola and Raspberry Delight. Lovely Valley Little A and a range of Fleurieu Peninsula wines are also available for sale. Myponga Brewery use chemical free coral base water to create all of their beverages.
A function room is available for private parties, corporate functions or bus groups.
Neustadt 10W30 : Albino Rhino Beer Review
Boychuk and I review this ale from the Neustadt Springs Brewery in Neustadt Springs Ontario. This is a very highly requested beer here on this channel and I had it once years ago in Ottawa and liked it and had not been able to find it down here so I scooped it up while in Guelph. Lets see if I still like it or not...rich, malty, dark brown!!!!
