The purpose-built NZ Alpine & Agriculture Encounter (located within the Methven Heritage Centre) brings to life the stories of the mountains, plains and the people who live there, through a modern, multi-media/interactive approach which provides visitors opportunities to explore the information and experiences that engage them the most.

Methven Heritage Centre - Conference and Event Facility

The Methven Heritage Centre is located less than an hour from Christchurch (NZ) and offers a beautiful and versatile conference or events venue. From large conferences, to weddings or intimate meetings the Methven Heritage Centre is able to cater to all your needs. The visitor attraction; NZs Alpine & Agriculture Encounter also offers a unique place for a cocktail function, telling the stories from the mountains to the plains in an interactive exhibition.

Mid Canterbury - A winter wonderland
