We were invited by @ScubaTony to come to Cozumel, an island off the coast of Playa del Carmen, in Mexico to get Jenny PADI Open Water Diver certified and Kris re-certified.
The waters around Cozumel are part of the Mesoamerican reef meaning that there are amazing coral formations and a spectacular underwater life to behold.
Together with @ScubaTony we dived for 4 days and had an amazing time getting to explore the amazing underwater world and hanging out with a vast array of fish, nurse sharks, eagle and sting rays, lobsters, moray eels, groupers, sea turtles and more.
We hope you will enjoy the video and get inspired to book a trip yourself to Cozumel and experience the amazing underwater world with the @ScubaTony team.
xx, Jen & Kris

Cave Diving in Cenote Eden - Playa Del Carmen, Mexico
Exploring the cave systems and a few underwater passageways between cenotes in the Garden of Eden.
This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever experienced. So beautiful and perfect that I had no interest in stepping out of the moment to take pictures or film, until our friend, Paco, saw I could keep up with him while freediving. He immediately left the water, grabbed a flashlight and a better mask for the both of us and explained that there was a 20 meter stretch of underwater caves that lead to another cenote... and then there was another cenote just beyond that. He tossed me my GoPro and said we were going to get me some good footage.
Paco had a super awesome and energetic vibe to him and he was confident in my diving so I trusted him, he began to gather his breath for the cave dive and said, Follow me. Don't worry. You WILL make it. And then he disappeared. I couldn't help but to laugh as I put my life in his hands. I followed Paco down into a corner that looked nothing more than a pile of rocks, and then he slipped into a crevice that was lit only by his flashlight.
As I entered the mouth of the underwater cave I slipped into the dreamy visuals of something I never thought I'd see and experience before. We swam deeper into the narrow black cave following Paco's cone of light, pulling ourselves across rocks to conserve energy, passing the point of no return, and finally feasting our eyes on the natural blue light of heaven shimmering across the surface. Although desperation for air and panic could have easily set in, the tranquility and surrealism of the dreamy cave visuals encouraged a calm that made the whole experience possible and incredibly beautiful.
Coming face to face with so many intense emotions and bodily sensations, mainly extreme desperation for the most basic ingredient for life - air, was an extremely humbling experience that brought upon a clean slate and grand entrance into the Garden of Eden.
After we caught our breaths and finished chatting with the surprised locals who we emerged next to, we proceeded into another cave system that would lead into a totally private cenote which was blocked off from foot traffic by the overgrown jungle. Our own slice of paradise. We basked in our heaven on earth and then returned back through the caves the way we came.
The visuals and feel of everything from the cone of light illuminating the darkness, vibrant, thriving life on the other side of primal fear, panic and danger, the pure and vibrant blue water, the downed trees, the mossy rocks, the small ancient looking fish sucking on my feet, the perfectly placed jungle ferns and explosive palm trees... it was the most highly perfect human experience I may have ever had.

MUSA & Reef Dive- Cancun, Mexico
While staying at the Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico I booked a dive trip through Aquaworld at the dive center located at the resort. We did a shallow reef dive that was lush and full of color before going through the underwater museum MUSA. It was so incredible to be swimming a beautiful coral reef and then see amazing sculptures lying eerily underwater. Such an incredible experience!
