Norfolk Coast Path. Part 1. Hike and Wild Camp along the North Norfolk Coast.
In this video (part one in a series) I will be walking along the Norfolk Coastal Footpath, a long distance trail following the beautiful, rich coastline of North Norfolk.
Carrying everything I need and wild camping along the way, I start in the seaside town of Hunstanton, walking through salt marshes, reed beds, dunes, coastal villages and nature reserves to the village of Burnham Deepdale. I stop along the way to show you some of the features and sites of interest along this stunning and unique coastline, and give you a taste of North Norfolk. Weary after a long days walk, I set up camp in the salt marshes, have a well earned dinner and a couple of East Anglian ales before settling down for the night in my bivvy bag cocoon.

WALKING THE NORFOLK COAST PATH!
After finishing my journey along the Peddars Way, I join onto the Norfolk Coast Path, continuing my journey down to Cromer. I found this a much more challenging part of the National Trail, having to deal with sand, rivers, a painful knee and getting lost amongst other things.

Cley-Next-The-Sea, Blakeney Walks was about 7.5 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of: two sections of the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast Path around Fresh Marshes and Morston Salt Marshes; a number of road sections; paths, tracks and bridleways across Wiveton Down, Blakeney Downs and Morston Downs. The walking was easy on level ground. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. There were no stiles but there were a number a short sections of steps to negotiate.

The terrain of the route was a combination of: a long sandy beach; hard surface paths and road section; paths and tracks through woodland and across fields. The walking was easy on level ground. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. There were no stiles to negotiate.

Sheringham Beacon Hill Walk was about 7.5 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was a combination of a beach, coastal path, woodland track and trails, field paths and short road sections. The walking was easy on level ground or gentle to moderate slopes. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. Note that the beach section between East Runton and Sheringham may be impassable at high tide so you may need to walk along the cliffs on the Norfolk Coast Path. You are advised to consult tide tables. There were 3 stiles to negotiate.

Discover the Norfolk Coast
Take a picturesque 70 mile journey along the Norfolk Coast Path from 'Sunny Hunny' Hunstanton to the golden sandy beaches at Hembsy.
Watch how this beautiful Norfolk coastline changes dramatically as we move from west to east.
From the amazing coloured layered cliffs at Hunstanton to Marram Grass filled sand-dunes at Holkham with miles of shell filled beaches.
Salt marshes and meandering creeks take prominence from Brancaster to Blakeney - areas of outstanding natural beauty!
Cliffs re-emerge at the pebbled filled beach at Weybourne and continue around the North East corner protecting this vulnerable part of the Norfolk coastline from the North Sea until they merge again with sand dunes and gorgeous beaches at Sea Palling and Hemsby.
Also along the route we visit popular tourist spots like Blakeney Quay and the beach huts at Wells next the Sea. We take in views of Sheringham and West Runton from Beeston Bump and marvel at the elegant Cromer Pier.

Norfolk Coast Path - Thornham to Hunstanton
Just a few clips from a day out. I travelled to the east coast of England to walk a stretch of the Norfolk Coast Path from the wilderness of Thornham to the populated Hunstanton for lunch, and back. About a 15 mile round trip. There's a nature reserve at Thornham with a lake, which makes great bird watching.

National Trail Guided Walks: The Norfolk Coast Path | Day 3 | Wells to Cley-next-the-Sea
The Norfolk Coast Path is a 47 Mile long national trail that begins at the coastal town of Hunstanton and follows the Norfolk Coast AONB all the way to Cromer passing many beautiful harbour villages along the way.
Day 3 of the trail starts at Wells -next-the-Sea and follows the edge of the saltmarsh past Stiffkey, Morston Quay and Blakeney to end the day at Cley-next-the-Sea. A total of 10.5 Miles.
