Starts Friday 5th October at Nu Metro Cinemas:
'n Wolf staan en wag in die middel van die stofpad; geen tyd om te rem nie. Onder vreemde omstandighede arriveer Sonja Daneel by die Joubert familie se luukse Hotel Njala waar sy bestem is om met haar nuwe werk as ontvangsdame te begin. Maar ná 'n frats motorongeluk kan sy nie onthou wie sy is, waar vandaan sy kom of waarom sy gekies het om by juis híérdie plek 'n pos te aanvaar nie.
Sonja word goed versorg deur haar nuwe werkgewers, en sy probeer haar bes om normaal te funksioneer onder die Laeveld se brandende son. Maar die skokkende nuus dat haar ma onlangs vermoor is krap ou wonde oop. Die geheimsinnige Jouberts se soms onverklaarbare optrede laat haar wonder oor wat werklik tussen die mure van hierdie spookagtige kasarm skuil.
Die eksentrieke partriarg Jan Joubert dwaal ongesiens tussen die bosse van die landgoed rond terwyl sy dogter Adele die familiebesigheid met 'n obsessiewe ystervuis regeer. Diana Joubert, eienaar van die hotel, luister stil-stil ander mense se gespekke af. Hul jongste dogter Maggie betrag die hele spul met 'n melankoliese gelatenheid. 'n Ligpunt is die sjarmante Ryno Lategan, 'n werknemer wat speels teen die hotel se reëls rebelleer terwyl hy stukkie vir stukkie Sonja se hart wen.
Die skielike dood van Jan Joubert ontketen 'n reeks onheilspellende gebeure. Met die hulp van die siniese Luitenant Conrad Nolte loer Sonja huiwerig deur die sluier van haar geheueverlies en begin ontstellende details oor die Jouberts oopvlek. Die oënskynlik bonatuurlike visioene wat haar al sedert haar aankoms teister, neem toenemend skrikwekkende afmetings aan. Sonja besluit om te uit haar pos te bedank, minwetend dat sy reeds vasgevang is in die middel van 'n perverse magspel wat wentel om die eienaarskap van Hotel Njala.
'n Ongewone verlowingspartytjie veroorsaak dat die verhoudings tussen die inwoners van die hotel 'n breekpunt bereik. Terwyl die illusie van feestelikheid voortsleep, word Maggie, Ryno, Sonja, Adele en Diana se onskuld getoets. Verdere bloedvergieting skok Sonja tot in haar siel. En dan die besef: slegs deur haar ware identiteit te konfronteer kan sy haar eie lewe red en die spook van Hotel Njala tot ruste bring.
Die geveg is brutaal. 'n Geweerskoot!
Terwyl Sonja terugry na die gebroke paradys van Johannesburg, is sy bewus dat die spoke van haar eie verlede nog lank met haar sal wees. Tog, vir die eerste keer in haar lewe, vind sy die moed om die Wolf reguit in die oë te kyk.

Nu Metro Neknomination / Raknomination
We love the idea of Neknominations being used for good!
While the 'Neknomination' craze has taken the online world virally, some have adapted it from a game of drinking to one of random acts of kindness, or 'Raknominations.' In the 'Change One Thing' spirit, Nu Metro Cinemas brought the magic of the movies to a group of Akani Metmar Primary School learners in Johannesburg, where we collected them from school to join us for 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2' at Nu Metro Montecasino.
We'll be doing the same in Durban, Cape Town and Bloemfontein.
If you're doing movies, you've gotta do popcorn, so the kids were treated to cold drinks and snacks to enjoy during their time in the enchantment of a darkened cinema.
Judging by the dancing ovation during the end credits, we're guessing they had a good time!
In keeping with the 'Change One Thing' ideal, Nu Metro Cinemas nominates Ster-Kinekor Theatres to pay it forward and bring a little bit of magic to the lives of people who need it.
