Spierhead Winery 2017 Harvest and Crush

There were many firsts this year, but one big last at Spierhead Winery in Kelowna, BC, Canada. After harvesting and crushing 70 tons of grapes (Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris, and a whole bunch of Pinot Noir), we were able to bid farewell to this small winery, as new, bigger one will have been constructed by the time the first leaves have sprouted from the vines in 2018.
Overall, it was a great year; immaculate fruit came from the vineyard on site, as well as a few others around the valley, producing some lovely pure wines, as well as those ideal for some phenomenal blends, including a dry white Pinot Noir, full of soft, peachy aromas, and a palate to match.
We're all looking forward to what 2018 will bring.
