Spain - Canary Islands - Fuerteventura - Catamaran
The Canary Islands are a Spanish archipelago. The archipelago consists of seven major islands, one minor island, and several small islets. They are of volcanic origin and can be found in the North Atlantic Ocean. These islands are located just off the coast of the north-western portion of the African continent/mainland, nearest the political divide of Morocco and Western Sahara. They form the autonomous community of the Canary Islands. The Canary Islands were formed by the Canary hotspot. The status of capital city is shared by the two cities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Fuerteventura Road Trip to Beaches, Whales and Grottas
Blogpost with Photos here:
A beach holiday has always been on our wish list - and this year it worked out. After researching the most beautiful beaches of the world we came across the statement: Fuerteventura is the Caribbean of Europe - (at least political Europe, because the Canarian island is located off the west coast of Africa in the Atlantic). We hoped that the island can really keep this high promise. We want to make it short - the ???? beaches keep the promise.
There are a lot of beautiful and well-kept beaches right next to the hotel complexes as well as many other beaches that are a little more remote from where you can jump into the crystal clear water. In the water there is also quite a lot to see - colourful fish play in the shallow water and in many bays there are also small reefs where you can snorkel perfectly.
Fuerteventura Beach Tip Risco El Paso
One beach we can recommend is Risco El Paso. It's a Wind-Surfer beach but has a large area for swimmers which is guarded by the coast guard on jet skis. You can protect yourself wonderfully in the small niches from wind. Since the beach is very long, the people are also spread out wonderfully and it is therefore one of the quietest beaches we have visited.
Numerous boat trips promise a lot of fun but also animal sightings - the so frequent dolphins ????konnten we unfortunately do not see, but instead turtles ???? (in the wild and in the reception center), hammerhead sharks ???????? and various species of whales ????????????
Explore Fuerteventura by car
It is advisable to book a rental car from home, as it's clearly cheaper (other travelers experience reports on the Internet are now obsolete, thanks to new comparison portals). And if you don't really want to spend 14 days at the hotel's own beach, or want to pay a lot of money for guided tours, a rental car is a must in order to reach the other beaches or maybe even try windsurfing, surfing, catamaran sailing, etc. There are also some natural attractions: Caves, landscapes and viewpoints - but don't rely completely on Google Maps - you may be led onto a road that is really only suitable for hardcore 4x4 fans and the right car. ????
The legendary beach Cofete
We want to give a little tip about Cofete (the most southwestern place of the island): the beach next to Cofete is praised on Tripadvisor and Co. as the most beautiful of Fuerteventura ... and that's probably what it is - but - it is located on the southwest side of the island and is therefore fully exposed to the Atlantic Ocean. In addition, the highest mountains of the island are directly behind it and all the clouds, wind etc. gather there. This means that while on the other side one lies in the sun in Moro Jable and Jandia under a blue sky, on the south-west side it is grey in grey ...
Inhabitants of the Alps know the phenomenon as Foehn. In two weeks stay we experienced only 2 days where we could recognize that the Cofete side probably has no clouds. So plan so that you can go there spontaneously. PS: A bus to Cofete is available 2 times in the morning and 2 times in the afternoon. But even if we didn't test it ourselves, we assume that you need a strong stomach. Therefore it is better to go back to the rental car or a Quad ????

Lanzarote #01: South coast. Playa de Papagayo
Lanzarote is a Spanish island, the northernmost and easternmost of the Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. It is the fourth largest island of the archipelago.
When we first time came to Lanzarote, we were amazed by the landscape - the road from the port to our apartment was literally through stagnant lava and volcanos. We felt like on another planet. We were thinking that all Lanzarote is like this part, but we were surprised that Lanzarote is really quite green! It has even a thousand palms valley.
In this video, we visited some south coast places like - playa Papagayo, plane watching spot, some touristic towns, and in the north, we watched amazing sunset in front of the mountains and were hypnotized by big blue waves.

Sailing from Lanzarote to Gran Canaria Spain
In this episode I am sailing with Jeroen from Lanzarote to Gran Canaria and checking out the island. The Canary islands are all so different in a beautiful way. You really feel a different vibe on each island. The one is more touristic, the other more layed back, one is more green, the other more volcanic. But to be honest I am in love with them and the people. AND THE PRICES. You can still buy a pizza in a restaurant for €4,95 and a wine for €1,50 A nice steak with pepper sauce for €9.95. It is all still very affordable. That in combination with the all year round 20 plus temperatures makes it almost perfect :)

Life on the Open Ocean [Ep. 20] Sailing Morocco to Canary Islands // Sailors & Seadogs
LIFE ON THE OPEN OCEAN - SAILING MOROCCO TO CANARY ISLANDS
During our 520 nautical mile passage from Morocco to Arrecife, Lanzarote, Spain, one of the Canary Islands, we had remarkable encounters with dolphins and a curious sei whale who played with us for more than 40 minutes! We had mostly smooth sailing and settled in to daily life while underway—great preparation for our Atlantic Crossing in a few weeks!
We are Maik and Michelle, two sailors from different worlds and different cultures with very different perspectives about sailing around the world together on our 43-foot, steel ketch, Seefalke. We also have different levels of sailing experience. Maik (a German) has sailed for more than 20 years, while Michelle (an American) has only been sailing five years. Our crew includes two Beagles, Cap’n Jack and Scout! Come along for the ride to follow our journey! We also love to cover cool travel destinations and the amazing sea creatures we discover along the way!

Back to tiny boat sailing? I need you! - Ep100 - The Sailing Frenchman
Do you have a dream? I have many, but one is to race the Mini Transat. It's a race from France to the Carribean on open 6.5 meters sailing boats.
To get on the start line I need a boat, time and a space to train, prepare the boat and participate into the qualification races. It's called a campaign, and I need to finance it. I you or if you know someone who is interested in sponsoring me for that race, drop me any idea or contact to thesailingfrenchman@gmail.com
Before this, my dream was to cross the Atlantic with my boat, so I refitted my 26ft sail boat, grabbed a few friends and casted off.
Once this done, why not carry on and sail around the world racing (cause cruising is too slow), so I got a job as first mate on the Clipper Round the World Race. We doing good so far, ranking second overall, so the Mini Transat seems like a good evolution for me.
