Minimalist Couple Living in a Tiny Camper Trailer That Cost Only $1,800 - RV Life
Kathleen and Greg from Tiny House, Tiny Footprint ( decided to downsize their lives from a downtown apartment in Denver, Colorado to a 140 square foot camper trailer / mobile home. For the first year of their tiny house experiment, the 1969 camper trailer was parked in a friend’s backyard until they bought a piece of land where they could park the trailer and grow their own food.
The couple’s inspiration to adopt a minimalist lifestyle and move into a small space was multifaceted: they wanted to have a smaller environmental footprint, spend less money, have more time for outdoor adventures, and be location independent. While their trailer is parked in one spot most of the time, they do have the ability to move it if they want to. Their cost of living is also low enough that they can afford to freelance, giving them even more flexibility.
In addition to their trailer, Kathleen and Greg are also converting a 1987 Toyota van into a camper van for budget-friendly road tripping which will allow them to experience working on the road as digital nomads.
They are passionate about their own simple living lifestyle, and about sharing the alternative lifestyle experiments of fellow tiny home dwellers on their blog and (gorgeous) Instagram account.
You can (and should!) follow Kathleen and Greg on their blog, Facebook, and Instagram:
Also, we want to say a huge THANK YOU to Ben Saheb for filming this footage and interview. You’re the best, Ben!!

Oral History: Jeff & Gerret Warner
An interview of Jeff and Gerret Warner by Stephen Winick about the folksong collection work of their parents, Anne and Frank Warner, and their own experiences growing up and performing with their father. They also discuss their careers as musicians and the development of a multi-media presentation on their parents' folksong collection combined with their own performances of the songs.
Speaker Biography: Musicians Jeff and Gerret Warner are the sons of ethnographers Anne and Frank Warner. The Anne and Frank Warner collection is one of the great treasures in the American Folklife Center archives, containing a wealth of material collected by the husband-and-wife team of folklorists from 1938 to 1966, as they traveled through rural America in search of old songs. Frank Warner was also a popular folksinger, and the Warners' sons, Jeff and Gerret, got their start as musicians backing up their dad on his recordings and performances. They have been renowned performing musicians for over 50 years.
