VIDEO INFO: This is quite a long (long enough for Freddie’s White-to-Black Costume change) and slightly exotic guitar solo (Three Blind Mice?) sandwiched between ‘Brighton Rock’ and a short burst of ‘Son & Daughter’ that seemed to sit as the centrepiece of the gig; which is of course the ‘legendary’ BBC broadcast from Christmas Eve 1975, filmed at London's Hammersmith Odeon taken from the recently released Blu-Ray ‘A Night At The Odeon’.

Playlist Complete Queen Live A Night at the Odeon – Hammersmith 1975 | Full Concert HD
A Night at the Odeon – Hammersmith 1975 is a live album by the British rock band Queen. The album is the first official release of the band's Christmas Eve performance at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1975, taped by the BBC. The show was broadcast on BBC2 and BBC Radio 1, and included one of the first live performances of Bohemian Rhapsody. It had been one of the band's most popular bootlegs.
The 24 December 1975 gig at the Hammersmith Odeon was the final date of Queen's UK tour in support of the album A Night At The Opera, which had been released a few weeks previously, and had already gone platinum.[The single Bohemian Rhapsody was in the middle of its 9-week run at number one in the UK charts at the time of the gig, which was one of the first times the song was played live. Queen had already played four shows at the Odeon earlier during the tour and received positive reviews in the press, with Sounds saying everything about them says that they are more important than any other band you've heard.
The gig was advertised in Melody Maker as Britain's most regal band awaits your presence ... and all 5,000 tickets sold out. Guitarist Brian May later recalled: This concert was very special because it was the first time we ever played a whole show completely live on TV.Lead singer Freddie Mercury played a white Bechstein grand piano imported especially for the gig, and wore white and black catsuits, changing costume halfway through the show.
Though A Night at the Opera was in the charts at the time of show, the band's setlist mainly drew from earlier songs that worked well on stage, including May's solo guitar spot in the middle of the show, and a medley of old rock'n'roll songs towards the end. The band only played the ballad section of Bohemian Rhapsody as part of a medley with older material, and the only other Opera track was God Save The Queen played on tape at the very end of the show.
The show was broadcast on BBC2 as part of the music programme The Old Grey Whistle Test with the audio later broadcast on BBC Radio 1. Queen had appeared on the show several times previously when studio tracks were played alongside custom music videos. Whistle Test presenter Bob Harris introduced the band onstage and later recalled that Queen were in party mood at the Hammersmith Odeon that night. Unfortunately, the video cameras were packed away before the group's second encore, so only the audio of Seven Seas of Rhye and See What A Fool I've Been were recorded.
Because of the high-quality recording and filming, and nationwide television and radio broadcast, the gig had become the most popular bootleg recording of Queen. Many of the songs in the band's Hammersmith set were dropped on later tours, and did not appear on official live albums such as Live Killers and Live At Wembley '86.
The original multi-track tapes of the show were believed to be lost, before being recovered in 2009 and restored by Queen sound engineers Justin Shirley-Smith, Kris Fredriksson, and Josh Macrae. A 50-minute performance of the show was broadcast that year, again on BBC2. In 2011, a few of the tracks from this gig were officially released elsewhere as bonus tracks on reissues of Queen's studio albums, such as White Queen on Universal Records' reissue of Queen II, and Ogre Battle on the iTunes version.
Lyrics
Happy little day, Jimmy went away
Met his little Jenny on a public holiday
A happy pair they made, so decorously laid
'Neath the gay illuminations all along the promenade
It's so good to know there's still a little magic in the air
I'll weave my spell
Jenny will you stay - tarry with me pray
Nothing 'ere need come between us tell me love, what do you say ?
Oh no I must away to my mum in disarray
If my mother should discover how I spent my holiday
It would be of small avail to talk of magic in the air
I'll say farewell
O rock of ages, do not crumble, love is breathing still
O lady moon, shine down a little people magic if you will

EXPLORING ABANDONED CINEMAS IN BOURNEMOUTH ~ ABC & ODEON WITH DECOR FROM 1930s
This was an amazing explore! Again a big shame to see a potential space for a new theatre or entertainment venue just sitting there laying derelict. BUT here is a bit of History of the place. The last two photos are NOT MINE! I will include a link to the credited images. What an amazing cinema in it's operational day. More abandoned photos coming this week so keep them eyes peeled :D
HISTORY: The ABC was originally called the Westover Super Cinema and opened in June 1937 with the Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers film Shall We Dance. In those days, it seated 1,605 people in the stalls and 910 in the circles.
It became an ABC in 1958 and was turned into a twin-screen cinema in 1970, with the 644-seater ABC1 auditorium equipped for high quality 70mm projection. The first film to show in 70mm on its giant wide screen was Paint Your Wagon. A third screen was added in 1973.
The ABC became a Cannon in 1983 and an MGM in 1992 before a management buyout turned it back into an ABC in 1996. The Odeon group took over the chain in 2000 but kept the old name.
Odeon then closed the ABC in 2017 to make way for the new Odeon which is in the heart of Bournemouth today.
Odeon Cinemas
Odeon is a cinema brand name operating in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which along with UCI Cinemas is part of the American Multi Cinema Theaters. It uses the famous name of the Odeon cinema circuit first introduced in Britain in 1930. The first Odeon cinema was opened by Oscar Deutsch in 1928, in Brierley, Staffordshire, although initially called Picture House. The first cinema to use the Odeon brand name was Deutsch's cinema at Perry Barr, Birmingham in 1930. Ten years later Odeon was part of the Rank Organisation who continued their ownership of the circuit for a further sixty years. Through a number of sales and acquisitions in the early 2000s the company was purchased by Terra Firma, which merged Odeon and UCI Cinemas to form Odeon UCI Cinemas Group. Most UCI cinemas then took the Odeon brand name in 2006. Terra Firma/UCI sold the company to AMC Theatres in November 2016. Ironically, UCI was originally formed through the merger of AMC UK and Cinema International Corporation in 1989. In 2016, Odeon was the largest cinema chain in the United Kingdom by market share (although the Irish cinemas were also included within this figure).

Brighton Rock (Queen - Live in London: December 24th, 1975)
The following upload is from the concert at the Hammersmith Odeon on Christmas Eve 1975! This concert is probably the most bootlegged Queen concert of all time and was officially released in 2015.
City: London, England
Venue: Hammersmith Odeon
Setlist:
1. “Now I’m Here”
2. “Ogre Battle”
3. “White Queen”
4. “Bohemian Rhapsody”
5. “Killer Queen”
6. “The March Of The Black Queen”
7. “Bohemian Rhapsody (Reprise)”
8. “Bring Back That Leroy Brown”
9. “Brighton Rock”
10. “Son And Daughter”
11. “Keep Yourself Alive”
12. “Liar”
13. “In The Lap Of The Gods… Revisited”
Encore
14. “Big Spender”
15. “Jailhouse Rock”
Encore
16. “Seven Seas Of Rhye”
17. “See What A Fool I’ve Been”
18. “God Save The Queen”
This concert was broadcast on the TV show “Old Grey Whistle Test”. It was a one off show to end their UK Leg of their successful “A Night At The Opera Tour”.
Due to time limits, Queen play a much shorter show than others on the tour. The opera/rock sections of Bohemian Rhapsody, Sweet Lady, Flick Of The Wrist, The Prophet’s Song, Stone Cold Crazy and Doing All Right are dropped from the setlist. “Now I’m Here” is also moved from the encore to the main set, as the show opener. “Seven Seas Of Rhye” is also performed as an encore, the only known time this has occurred.
Freddie and Brian aren’t feeling exactly 100% tonight, but they still put in their very best. One highlight of the show would have to be Brian’s guitar work on “Brighton Rock”
The BBC packed up their cameras after “Jailhouse Rock”, so unfortunately the second encore isn’t filmed. How unfortunate that we can’t see an early gem and it’s B-Side done tonight.
Enjoy!
Note: The source of this upload comes from the There Ain't No Sanity Clause” bootleg CD, so there are no overdubs to be heard. Try and compare this to the “A Night at the Odeon - Hammersmith 1975” release.

Queen – A Night At The Odeon – Hammersmith 1975 Trailer
December 24, 1975. London’s Hammersmith Odeon. Onstage at this legendary venue, the four members of Queen are bringing to a close a ground-breaking show, transmitted live on BBC TV, and also bringing to a climax the most eventful and exciting year in their careers so far – one that has taken them from the UK to America to Japan, sealing their transition from ambitious upstarts into one of the biggest and most important bands of the era - and beyond.
Forty years later, this groundbreaking show officially takes to the World Stage. On November 20, Queen - A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 is released on CD, DVD, SD Blu-Ray, 2 LP vinyl, Super Deluxe Box Set and digitally through Virgin EMI. As well as a live recording of this legendary gig, the packages also include extra-special bonus features for the Queen fans. Featuring 15 tracks from their first four visionary albums, plus covers of four classic rock’n’roll staples delivered with characteristic panache, A Night At The Odeon - Hammersmith 1975 captures a band in full flight and radiating megawatts of self-confidence.
Their latest single Bohemian Rhapsody – universally hailed as one of the most ground-breaking ‘pop’ songs ever released – was in the middle of its record-breaking nine week run at Number One in the UK charts. Their fourth album, A Night At The Opera (the most expensive record ever made to that point) found Queen’s grandiose vision coalescing into a breathtaking set of songs and ushered the band into a seat at rock’s top table (just three days after the concert, A Night At The Opera reached the top of the UK album charts).
The Christmas Eve show was the climax of the 26-date ‘Queen Invite You To A Night At The Opera Tour’, which had begun mid-November and had already seen the band play four nights at the same venue a month earlier. Melody Maker magazine had trumpeted the tour with the words “Britain’s most regal band await your presence”, and the reviews of the previous shows had been ecstatic. By the time the band returned to Hammersmith on Christmas Eve, they were truly firing on all cylinders. No expense had been spared, from the stellar light show which lent a spectacular visual element to the night’s proceedings to the suitably lavish white Bechstein grand piano which had been hired especially for this show. Nor had the band themselves overlooked the finer sartorial details. Freddie Mercury sported two different satin cat suits – one black one white – during the show, designed by Wendy deSmet with the singer’s input. Similarly, Freddie had painted the nails of his left hand black for the occasion, while Brian May had his (at the time) trademark white nails.
With the issue of A Night At The Odeon this legendary show has finally been given the pedestal it deserves, delivered in fitting style, featuring an incredible new audio mix in stereo and 5.1 surround-sound plus an absolute state-of-the-art restoration of the video. As well as audio and visual footage of the gig, the DVD and SD Blu-Ray versions feature two special bonus features – 'Looking Back At The Odeon’, a brand new 22-minute documentary featuring a previously unseen interview with Brian May and Roger Taylor by Old Grey Whistle Test presenter Bob Harris about the 1975 Hammersmith Odeon show, plus the rarely seen Live At The Budokan – Japan 1975 footage, featuring three songs (Now I'm Here, Killer Queen and In The Lap Of The Gods… Revisited) recorded during their legendary tour of the Far East. The Super Deluxe Boxed Set also includes a never-before-heard recording from the pre-show soundcheck – something that no one outside of the band themselves knew existed until now.

Lyrics
I have sinned dear father, father I have sinned
Try and help me father
Won't you let me in ? Liar
Oh nobody believes me - Liar
Ooh, why don't you leave me alone ?
Sire I have stolen, stolen many times
Raised my voice in anger
When I know I never should
Liar - oh everybody deceives me
Liar - ooh, why don't you leave me alone ?
Liar - I have sailed the seas
Liar - from Mars to Mercury
Liar - I have drunk the wine
Liar - Time after time
Liar - You're lying to me
Liar - You're lying to me
Father please forgive me
You know you'll never leave me
Please will you direct me in the right way
Liar liar liar liar
Liar that's what they keep calling me
Liar liar liar
Ooh, let me go
Listen, are you gonna listen ?
Mama I'm gonna be your slave
All day long
Mama I'm gonna try behave
All day long
Mama I'm gonna be your slave
All day long
I'm gonna serve you till your dying day
All day long
I'm gonna keep you till your dying day
All day long
I'm gonna kneel down by your side and pray
All day long and pray
All day long and pray
All day long and pray
All day long, wow, all day long, wow

All day long, all day long, all day long
Liar liar they never ever let you win
Liar liar everything you do is sin
Liar nobody believes you
Liar they bring you down before you begin
Ooh, now let me tell you this
So now you know you could be dead before they let you, aah
