Arrival: Hood Aerodrome biplane approach
What flying on a beautiful autumn day in the Wairarapa is like - simply stunning!
Hood Aerodrome in Masterton (New Zealand) is a historic field having been the home of 14 Sqn RNZAF for a period of time during the Second World War (amongst other units). Today it is the home of the Old Stick and Rudder Company's WW2-era P40 and Corsair fighters, and The Vintage Aviator's World War One flying aircraft collection.

Wings Over Wairarapa Airshow 2009

This footage is that shot from the cockpit of the Old Stick And Rudder Company's P40-E ( and as flown by Stuart Goldspink on that flight. Not the most exciting of aviation videos, but pretty cool if you've always wondered what it's like to fly a P40.
