Build A Home In Mexico With Youth With A Mazatlan, Mexico
YWAM Mazatlan’s leading mercy ministry, Homes of Hope was created in 2006 with the heart to extend a helping hand to needy families, to help them accomplish something that would take 20 years to do on their own. Right now we are focused on 3 communities here in Mazatlan, in order to see a more long-term impact rather than building all over the entire city. Our vision is to come alongside and serve the local church already working in the community to ensure that the physical and spiritual needs of the people are met. We desire to not only build these families a home, we desire to bring families to Christ to transform hearts and mentalities by showing them his love in a tangible way.

24 HOURS in MAZATLAN Mexico: What to Do and Where to Eat in Mazatlán SINALOA
What to do in Mazatlan Mexico. Where to eat in Mazatlan. Beaches in Mazatlan

ABOUT FOOD AND FOOTPRINTS:
We are Greg and Jumi, hailing from opposite ends of the globe. Greg is a native New Yorker who was born and raised in Queens NYC and Jumi grew up in the beautiful islands of the Visayas region of the Philippines.
How did we meet? One of us messaged the other on Instagram (before sliding in DM's was even possible through the app!) and we met just after Hurricane Sandy hit NYC in October 2012. Although we grew up in two very different worlds, we bonded over a love of experiences over material things, delicious food and exploration.
We have visited 15+ countries together since December 2014 exploring beaches, ancient temples, bustling streets and ruins. Along the way, we get adrenaline flowing whether paragliding, ziplining, or jetskiing.
To fuel up for our adventures (and everyday life), we eat lots of local food wherever we are. Street food, carts, trucks, hidden gems and family-run sit-downs are our mainstays. We don't cook, but prefer to spend our money on experiences and we treat food as one. Hey, we gotta eat regardless, right? May as well enjoy it and support good businesses while we're at it!
All of this is done while we work full-time at our day jobs. How do we do it? Follow along our journeys and you will learn more. Welcome to our lifestyle!

Doves ~ Pigeons in Mazatlan, Mexico
Cruising to Mexico is a lot of fun. Mazatlan was one of our destinations. I was amazed by the quite tame Pigeons congregating in front of the old Cathedral of Immaculate Conception, built between 1855 and 1880.

Mazatlan Mercado
When you cruise to other parts of the world and get to stay for more than a short time, you get to shop like a local. One thing that we found in Mexico was the shopping can be quite a bit different than in the USA. There are some very nice grocery stores, just like and in some cases batter than in the US. There are also some local shopping places that cater to the older way of shopping. In these local places you can find much fresher goods than the pre-butchered, pre-cut, pre-wrapped, pre-packaged stuff you find the store shelves of the US type markets.
We always found it fun to do some local shopping!
Drunk Guy Won't Leave Resort In Mazatlan
Drunk Guy Won't Leave Resort In Mazatlan. At the end of our excursion in Mazatlan we were kept waiting over 20 minutes because one drunk guy refused to leave. He harassed the local vendors, kept going back for drinks, and was generally obnoxious.

Now, who are the Real Estate Guides?
We represent a group of real estate professionals from 21 cities throughout
Mexico. Our associates include attorneys, notarios, accountants, architects
and escrow companies.
We are uniquely qualified to professionally guide you through the process of
choosing the city or area in Mexico that compliments your lifestyle, qualifying
the construction, and processing the purchase and closing documents.
Our success is reflected in our fiduciary responsibility to our clients, attention
to detail and personal service.
If you are fortunate to find your way to Mexico as a
Final Destination…you just won the Powerball Lottery. You can decide the
veracity for yourself but it’s becoming common knowledge south of the border.
We all end up in Mexico for different reasons. I came to Mazatlan (2003) after
years of vacationing in PV. How refreshing, a true Mexican City with miles of
beaches and a laid back Expat community….Amazing….and I never looked back.
After graduating from the University of Washington, I spent 20 years in
construction as a union carpenter and building custom and spec homes as a
general contractor. After my 3rd knee surgery, I ventured into the real estate
industry and received a great education via Windermere R.E. Olympia Wn.
I was a licensed real estate agent in Washington State from 1995-2013 and
was co-owner of a start-up brokerage from 2002-2008, so venturing into the
Mexico real estate market was a natural process for me. I bought a condo in
2006 and within a couple of years I was coming to Mazatlan 5-6 times a year
and spending6 months in Mexico.
Life is Short if you’re lucky, very short if you’re not so lucky. So when the Great
Recession of 2008 devastated the US economy……..it was time for me to turn
in that lotto ticket and become a fulltime resident in Mexico.
I have been a licensed broker in Mazatlan, a member of the MLS (AMPI) and
Realtor Association since 2009. After four years of referral business in
Washington state, I retired my license in August, 2013.
My associate and director of MRG, Ricardo Angulo, was born in Mexico over 4
decades ago. He came to Mazatlan in 2000 for family business and fell in love
with the city. Soon thereafter becoming a full time Mazatleco. In 2006 he
began his career in real estate. Ricardo is bi-lingual, well versed in the
evolution of Mexico and has been a member of AMPI (MLS) and Realtor
Association since 2008. He is familiar with the legal channels in Mexico and
committed to continuous learning and updating, taking real estate courses
every year as laws and local destinations are changing rapidly. Recently, he
was honored as the moderator on the annual AMPI real estate course.
Ricardo loves the Mexican culture, the history of real estate and the
geographical diversity throughout Mexico. He is enthusiastic about sharing
his knowledge, contacts and experiences.
We have incorporated US standards into our documentation and fiduciary
responsibilities. We also work directly with our associates and affiliates in the
MLS (AMPI) who continue to provide leadership by example………..we are so
fortunate!

Mazatlan Mexico 2011
I attended Carnival in Mazatlan, Mexico and took some quick video along the strip as I made my way through the venues. I was there that year for a total of six weeks and enjoyed every minute of the vacation. I was told by the locals that there were roughly one million plus people in attendance for this event and that it is the 3rd largest carnival in the world as far as this type of celebration is concerned.

Queen arrived in Mexico almost 5 Months ago, ready for a new adventure. Retired, Queen came to the popular Mexican expat village on a one-way ticket, sight unseen; she didn't even know a soul. What's the worse that can happen?, she figured that, if she didn't like it, she could return back to the USA. That hasn't happened.
Queen feels that Mexico is a good fit and she's thriving as a single woman who's made good friends, slowed down her pace, continues to sample new Mexican cuisine, and keeps busy Kicking, Yoga, Dancing, Walking, meeting great new friends. It appears that she's there to stay.
