Visit to Brighton & Brighton Beach
On a sunny, warm Saturday morning in July, we decided to set out on a trip from London to Brighton (South England / Southern UK) to see this pretty seaside town. This video is a small virtual walking tour of Brighton for you.
We only covered a fraction of the official things to do in Brighton because we were only there for a couple of hours for our day in Brighton, but we did get to fit a few sightseeing places including:
- a fair number of the city's pretty bunting-clad streets with flower window boxes and hanging baskets (the North Laines, the Lanes, Kemp Street, Kensington Gardens and East Street)
- Pavilion gardens with the Royal Pavilion's impressive building as well as the Brighton Museum and Art Gallery building
- Victoria gardens
- Brighton pier (from afar at least)
- Brighton Beach and the length of the promenade where there's volleyball, boules, basketball courts and lots of little shops, kiosks, restaurants, galleries and bars.
- the famous colourful Brighton Beach huts
Just walking around and soaking up the vibe of the place was great and filled our day to the brim so if you're looking for cheap Brighton ideas for things to do in Brighton on your Brighton holiday / break - I'd recommend just exploring the area by foot.
I hope you enjoy the video :)

Brighton Marina. E.Sussex. UK.
Brighton marina has become one of Brighton's main attractions. A place where you can enjoy good food, entertainment, and view yachts which you could only afford in your dreams. The waterfront is a vibrant place with many restaurants offering good views over the marina. There are shops of all sorts, with something for everyone. Even in winter, if it is a clear day, the Marina is a hive of activity. Well worth a visit if you are in the area to have lunch in one of the many pubs or restaurants.
I couldn't believe you can do THIS in Brighton ????????England Travel Vlog
Back in October, I was taken on a day of adventures in Brighton. From a city tour, to yoga to a sauna on the beach and a dip in the sea (in late October!) The day just got better and better and I haven't felt this free in a long time, especially in my home country!
This video is in partnership with Visit England who want to prove that you can have these wild adventures (like you would on a Gap Year) but just for the weekend - without having to leave home soil - they are calling this #MyMicrogap Where will yours take you?

Why SO MANY YouTubers Live in Brighton | 24 Hours in Brighton
Why do so many YouTubers live in Brighton, like Zoella, PointlessBlog, Pewdiepie, Marzia, and so many others?? I explored Brighton for 24 hours post-Scotland trip and before heading to London to see Harry Potter & The Cursed Child. As the day went on and I visited the beach huts and the Brighton Pier, I started to see why so many YouTubers love living in Brighton. If you want to see my favorite part of Brighton, make sure to watch until at least 2:56 because the starlings are mesmerizing and INCREDIBLE and one of the most special sights I've ever come across.

Why the starlings were dancing around the Brighton Pier, according to the West Pier Trust:
Large numbers of starlings arrive from as far away as Scandinavia to join their native cousins as they roost for the winter. The flocks, which can swell to as many as 40,000 birds at the peak in December, used to be seen each evening over West Pier as they performed their spellbinding aerial show known as ‘murmuration’. These days they appear only from time to time through the winter months and in far smaller numbers than before.
Starlings feed up to 20 miles from their winter roost, returning each evening. In late afternoon feeding flocks join together to form large pre-roost gatherings in places where the birds can get one last meal before nightfall. At dusk, birds from these gatherings fly, often in a swirling cloud-like formation, to the roost.

Places to see in ( Brighton - UK )
Brighton is an English seaside resort town. About an hour south of London by train, it's a popular day-trip destination. Its broad shingle beach is backed by amusement arcades and Regency-era buildings. Brighton Pier, in the central waterfront section, opened in 1899 and now has rides and food kiosks. The town is also known for its nightlife, arts scene, shopping and festivals.
Brighton is a seaside resort on the south coast of England. Brighton is part of the ceremonial county of East Sussex, within the historic county of Sussex. Brighton's location has made it a popular destination for tourists, renowned for its diverse communities, quirky shopping areas, large cultural, music and arts scene.
Brighton lies between the South Downs and the English Channel to the north and south, respectively. The Sussex coast forms a wide, shallow bay between the headlands of Selsey Bill and Beachy Head; Brighton developed near the centre of this bay around a seasonal river, the Wellesbourne (or Whalesbone), which flowed from the South Downs above Patcham.
The Royal Pavilion is a former royal palace built as a home for the Prince Regent during the early 19th century. Other Indo-Saracenic buildings in Brighton include the Sassoon Mausoleum . Brighton Marine Palace and Pier (long known as the Palace Pier) opened in 1899. The West Pier was built in 1866 and is one of only two Grade I listed piers in the United Kingdom. The Brighton i360 observation tower opened on 4 August 2016. Brighton clocktower, built in 1888 for Queen Victoria's jubilee. Volk's Electric Railway runs along the inland edge of the beach from Brighton Pier to Black Rock and Brighton Marina. The Grand Hotel was built in 1864. The Brighton hotel bombing occurred there.

Choirs will have the great privilege of being taught one of Dr Russell Robinson’s own compositions by the very man himself, and will perform it together in St Peter’s cathedral in a grand massed-choir performance!
Choirs choosing to enter our choral competition have the chance of winning a £1000 cash prize! With a free choice of repertoire and only four choral categories including an LGBTQ+ category, ours will be an inclusive, happy, friendly festival, welcoming adult choirs of all genres.

England Tourist Royal Pavilion Brighton Sussex
In the 16th century Brighton, then called Brighthelmston, was a fishing village. In the 18th century the fishing industry went into decline, people moved away to look for work and those that remained were poverty stricken, too poor to pay their rates. Today it is a lively cosmopolitan metropolis, often referred to as London-by-the-Sea. Due to its close proximity to the capital city, being less than one hour’s journey time away, Londoners flock to Brighton at week-ends, which probably gave rise to the saying ‘a dirty weekend in Brighton’ helped, no doubt, by the antics of the future King of England, George IV, at the time of his visits to the town.
The town’s fortunes were reversed, in part, by some doctors claiming that diseases could be cured by bathing in sea-water. King George III was the first royal to regularly visit the seaside town of Weymouth to swim. His son, later to become King George IV, favoured Brighton where he rented a respectable farm-house, which he then purchased and extended into what is now the Royal Pavilion, Brighton. Being away from London and his parents, who he never got on well with and they him, allowed him the freedom to indulge in his extravagant lifestyle and his passions of drinking, womanising and gambling that scandalised the country and got him heavily into debt. It was also a discreet location for the Prince to enjoy liaisons with his long-time companion, Maria Fitzherbert, whom he later married in secret.
Travel in the 18th century was expansive so only rich towns people could afford to holiday at the seaside. The rich have a tendency to follow in the footsteps of the royals, so houses for the wealthy were built as Brighton attracted everyone of importance.
Queen Victoria made her first visit to the Royal Pavilion in 1837. Wanting to distance herself and her family from her Uncle’s lavish lifestyle and extravagance she adopted a frugal lifestyle. She hated the lack of privacy and space that the Royal Pavilion offered her and her growing family so finally she sold it to the town of Brighton for £50,000 in 1850. She ordered the building to be stripped of all interior decorations, fittings and furnishings for use in other royal homes. Some of these have been returned but it is nothing like it was in its heyday.
During the First World War the Pavilion was transformed into a military hospital. From December 1914 to January 1916, sick and wounded soldiers from the Indian Army were treated in the former palace.

What to do in Brighton? | East Sussex
If you don't know what to do in Brighton this video is for you. I was there for one day and I saw amazing landscapes.
I flew to London Gatwick and stayed in Crawley for 1 day, that was the only day I had to do something in the UK, so I met with another friend of mine and we rented a car and went to Brighton.
I have heard from many people that Brighton was a beautiful place and one of the most beautiful places in the United Kingdom.
So me and my friend went to Brighton and the first place we went was the Birling Gap and Seven Sisters.
Billing gap is a place that is like a beach but instead of sand we only have rocks. The Birling gap is a beautiful place to see and take very nice pictures.
After the Birling Gap we went to Cuckmere Haven is a place where the river Cuckmere meets the sea it is beautiful but you can only see this beauty if you have a drone or you lucky manage to park a car at a higher altitute so you can see the river from above.
Cuckmere Haven in really a beautiful place.
In the end of the day after eating fish and chips we went to the British Airways i360, it is a new thing in the city centre of Brighton and the i360 goes around 400m high and stops there for you to have an amazing view over the whole city and the beautiful beach.
If you are in doubt on what to do in Brighton leave a comment and I will tell you more things you can do around there.
Hit me up in the comments for any questions!
