Student Exchange Program: West Covina to Ohtawara, Japan
The Student Exchange Program was created to provide a cultural exchange for students in both Japan and the United States. It is different from a normal visit to Japan because students stay with a host family and are fully emerged into the culture. While in Japan, students will visit several historic sites, have cultural classes, visit a junior high school, and much more.
Requirements: The Student Exchange Program is open to students ages 13 - 17 years old. In order to gain the full experience of the program, each family is required to host one or two Japanese students in August the following year and attend scheduled meetings prior to the trip. The Student Exchange Program is based in West Covina and is open to all students in the surrounding area.
