27 Ave spes solamen II (tas-Sliema)
Another of the antiphons used for the feast of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Sliema. This version was composed by Vincenzo Bugeja, originally for the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows celebrated in the Franciscan church of Our Lady of Jesus in Valletta. Eventually it started to be used by the Franciscans in tas-Sliema. Unfortunatley the last time this magnificient piece of music was played was in 1987. This recording is from the high mass of the centenary feast of the church and the statue, celebrated on 5th July 1981, making it the oldest recording to date on this channel.

Easter Sunday - Sacro Cuor Parish Malta 2
The 9:30 am Mass is a Children's and Families Mass and this year (2011), after the Mass, children released red and white balloons to signify the risen Christ. Red for the Blood God shed for us, White for His Glorious Victory over Death. Though it is not very audible in the video yet the song Jesus Christ you are my life was playing in the background and children carried the statue while their figolli were being blessed and amidst the joyous atmosphere.

Rosary for the Unborn at Ta' Qali (Sunday 27th May 2012).wmv
Last Sunday 27th May 2012, a small group of people gathered at Ta' Qali to pray a Rosary for the Unborn. After the prayer, we released a Kuruna tar-Ruzarju (Rosary Beads) made up of balloons.
The group meets every last Friday of the month at Fatima House (Sliema). We are not affiliated with any other pro-life group in Malta although we OF COURSE appreciate their marvellous work.
People interested in joining us in praying for the unborn, (ie: actually coming to the meetings) are more than welcome. :-)
David plays the organ in Fontana Parish Church, Gozo.wmv
David plays the 'Englischer Tanz' at Fontana Parish Church, on the 1908 Sicilian organ built by Laudani e Giudici of Palermo. The organ was completely restored by organbuilder and restorer Robert Buhagiar B.Eng(Hons) of Zabbar, Malta in 2003. It has also been featured in the CD 'Historic Organs of Malta and Gozo' produced by the PRIORY RECORDS.

HOAX 2015
Easter is fast approaching which means it’s time for Y4J’s annual Lenten Talks with Fr Brendan Gatt!
This year our talks are coming at you with a little twist.
Inspired by C.S. Lewis’ book ‘The Screwtape Letters’, we’ve come up with our own score and script to give you a daily dose of theatre at the start of every session.
So, let’s set the scene:
Every day we’ll be looking into the life of a group of demons. To be precise, we’ll get to know three master demons that are training their five protégées in the art of deceiving their patients (that’s you!). They’ll be studying and picking apart situations that youths face in their day to day lives. Every session will bring to light a new case study that the demons will analyse in order to learn how to draw them further away from their number 1, top of the list, most wanted, enemy – God!
It’s one big HOAX.
Fr. Brendan Gatt, our friendly neighbourhood speaker (and sworn enemy of said demons) will be shedding light on these issues and tearing down the tactics of these demons day by day. His talk will then be followed by some time of adoration and praise. Throughout the week we’ll also be hearing from different people who will be sharing their personal encounters with God.
The night doesn’t end there however! Our café will be open after and will be offering a selection of bakes, drinks and nibbles. So don’t just run away – we’d love to hang out and chat with all of you!
Nitty-Gritties:
Dates: 23rd – 28th March
Time: 20:00 – 21:15
Place: Salesians Theatre, Sliema (with free parking in the grounds of St. Patrick’s)
