A place you should visit if you are in Medellin - Colombia ????????????
Hey guys!
I was back in Colombia for about a month, visiting family and traveling for a while. The first days we were in San Andres and we had an incredible time there! Be sure to check that out because I think this is a must of Colombia (
This time we decided to go to a place that is not the typical touristic place, it’s definitely not in a touristic guide but it makes it an even cooler place if you ask me. This place is called Monaiya, which means bright sunrise in Witoto. It’s located inside the Arvi Park, a natural reserve located next to the city of Medellin. There are lots of activities that you can do inside Monaiya like acupuncture, massages, temazcals, psychological accompaniments, guided ecological walks and more.
You don’t necessarily need to do heaps of activities to enjoy an incredible connection between your body, your soul and the nature surrounding you. It was an incredible day and something that I would really encourage you to visit if you like nature.
We finished the day by visiting a really nice pet-friendly restaurant to have some pizza and a delicious hot chocolate.
This was not a typical touristic day, but I definitely think that this kind of experiences can give you sometimes more than just a visit to a landmark. Experiencing the culture of the place, going back to the basics and connecting to a place like this seems more like traveling to me.
This was pretty much it, I really hope you enjoyed this video as much as I enjoyed making it :) Be sure to give it a like, subscribe if you have not yet and comment what you liked the most.

JARDIN - MOST BEAUTIFUL PUEBLO IN COLOMBIA
(Part 2) I spent 2 days in Jardin. It is considered one of the 2 most beautiful cities or pueblos in Colombia. It was a 4 hour bus ride from the South terminal in Medellin. The fare was $29,000 cop each way. I found a nice place to stay for only $140,000 cop for 2 nights. It was more like a hostel but I had my own room, but the kitchen and bathroom was shared. Fortunately I was the only person in the hotel the first night and another couple checked in the second night. I believe they had a shower in their room. We even had hot water and the wifi was great.
The town is very colorful. The houses and buildings are painted bright colors. I had breakfast one morning for only $3,100 cop and with a tip of $900 cop it was a steal. 2 eggs and bread and tea for less than $2 usd. Damn.
I took a tuk-tuk ride around the city for $15,000 cop. I also took a tour of the bird santuary to see the cocks of the rocks. It was $30,000 guided tour. You can do it yourself for $10,000. I also too a 3 hour walking tour with 2 couples, which ended up lasting 5 hours. it was a great tour. We saw a few waterfalls, river, bat cave, farms, etc. We also took the cable car back from the mountain to the city. We all had a great time.
Next trip I would like to visit the trout farm and panela factory, visit go on the horse and bicycle tours and maybe go on the 2 hour trip to the Cristo Rey (christ on the hill). I will definitely return next year.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL TO MEDELLIN,COLOMBIA!!!
Things to do in medellin, Arvi Park
parque arvi is the lung of the very congested city of medellin, it is a good thing to do in medellin .
Medellin Colombia - The Big Rock
We all decided to check out Guatape! I remember seeing this spot in travel videos years ago and dying to know where it was... now i'm here!
What to do in Medellin Colombia - Food, Nightlife & Neighborhoods
A great guide to where to go in Medellin for day and nighttime adventures. There's some great spots to visit and lots of good food along the way. Here's my favorite spots!
Medellin City Tours, Medellín Women, Medellín coffee, Botero, Jardin Botanica
My favorite places include:
Plaza Botero – Home to 23 of Fernando Botero’s larger-than-life sculptures, this plaza can be reached via the Parque Berrio metro station. Make sure to step inside the Museo de Antioquia, which faces the plaza. Entrance is free, and you can see paintings by Botero as well as other Latin artists.
Parque Berrio – Across the street from Plaza Botero, this small park is always filled with juice vendors and local street performers playing traditional Colombian music.
Jardín Botánico – Easily accessible from the Universidad metro station, the city’s botanical gardens host numerous events, concerts, and festivals throughout the year. Go here when you want a break from the city noise.
Parque Explora – Across the street from Jardín Botánico, this complex features Latin America’s largest freshwater aquarium, as well as an outdoor park with interactive games demonstrating the laws of physics.
Pueblito Paisa – A mock pueblo built atop Cerro Nutibarra, a small hill in the center of the valley. The hill offers terrific, near-360-degree views of the city. It’s about a 20-minute walk up from the Industriales metro station, or you can take a taxi.
El Castillo Museo y Jardines – Inspired by the castles of the French Loire Valley, El Castillo was constructed in 1930. Admission to the property, which includes the gardens and a guided tour of the castle’s interior, costs 8,000 pesos ($4 USD). The easiest way to get there is by taxi.
Parque Arvi – Escaping east over the mountains to one of the region’s largest nature reserves is as easy as jumping on the metro system. A regular ticket will take you as far as Santo Domingo. Once you exit the metro, buy another ticket for the separate metro cable that runs from Santo Domingo to Parque Arvi. The cost is 4,200 pesos ($2.20 USD).
Pablo Escobar Tours
The legacy of Pablo Escobar is still a cause for division amongst residents of Medellín, with some people seeing the man in a positive light, while others do their best to relegate the violence of the ’80s and early ’90s to the history books.
Curiosity from foreign tourists, many of whom know nothing more of Medellín before they arrive than its association with Escobar’s Medellín Cartel, has led to a boom in Pablo Escobar tours.
A typical half-day tour will include visits to Monaco, the eight-story apartment building where the Cali Cartel detonated a car bomb in an assassination attempt, to the building adjacent his final safe house where he was ultimately killed, and to his family grave in the city of Itagüí, south of Medellín.
Tours are available for as little as 42,000 pesos ($21.75 USD) per person through Zorba. All three sites can also be visited independently using a combination of the metro and taxis.

???? E-Book ????
In this video Tacha will talk about the things you should avoid doing in Medellin, Colombia.
Since, we moved to Colombia we witnessed a lot things that we are not familiar with.
Tacha will talk about a few things she witnessed in her daily life, which can help get around easier and safer.
Colombia is a diverse country and not only the flora and fauna is diverse, the people are too.
Even in Colombia you can see the diversity between the different cities.
Medellin is a whole other story than Cartagena, what applies in Cartagena doesn't necessarily apply in Medellin and the other way around.
That is why Tacha concentrates on Medellin because each city has its own No No's
Don't do the things Tacha mentions in the video and you will be totally fine.
