Double Ikat Patan Patola Heritage
India has a rich and ancient heritage in fine textiles. Double Ikat patola from Patan in north Gujarat glorifies this heritage. With its unique gem like quality, gorgeous color , design , durability and its very appearance lures the connoisseurs of fine textiles.
It has no reverse side with both sides having equal intensity and colors. The quality has its origin in intricate and difficult technique of tie and dye known as BANDHINI process on warp and weft tied separately before weaving.
