Patrick Heath Public Library Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The new Patrick Heath Public Library is officially open! Library Director Kelly Skovbjerg cut the ribbon with former Boerne Mayors Patrick Heath and Dan Heckler along with current Mayor Mike Schultz. State Representative Doug Miller, City Manager Ron Bowman, Assistant City Manager Jeff Thompson, City Council Members -- District 5, Jacques DuBose and District 2, Nina Woolard were also on hand. Also in attendance but not in the picture was City Council Members -- District 1, Jeff Haberstroh and District 4, Ron Cisneros. The new 30,000 square foot library is located at 451 N. Hill Country Mile & Dickens on Main, Boerne’s premier Christmas event on yoloTX TV
Join us as we walk through the beautiful Hill Country Mile located in Boerne, Texas.
First stop is the Patrick Heath Library where we were able to walk around the grounds and see different sculptures that compliment the beautiful outdoor area for readers to come and relax.
Next, we walked to Main Plaza were they host all types of events for the community including their Christmas celebration! Dickens on Main is the Christmas event of the season, were they turn the town into a Charles Dickens “A Christmas Carol”. This includes a 60 ft. ice slide, bands and SNOW! Dickens on Main starts Thanksgiving weekend, November 23rd to 24th!
In need of a coffee break, we stopped at Dienger Trading Co. for all of the coffee, sweets, and delicious food we could have asked for.
We couldn’t leave Boerne without stopping at some of the best local shopping spots, and the first stop is Hunting and Gathering for the Home. This beautiful shop offers one of a kind home goods that will brighten up your home. Next, we checked out the latest fashion trends at Boutique Chloe Rose. To end the day off right, we enjoyed the best craft beer and food at Cibolo Creek Brewing Co.

Don’t forget the live ice sculpture shows each evening--complete with chainsaws and rock n’ roll soundtracks—which are always a family favorite. This is a good old fashioned holiday spectacular that’s fun for all ages!

The Chamber was honored to hold the ribbon cutting ceremony at the Grand Opening of their new bank in Boerne which is located at 371 North Main Street, at the driveway to the new Patrick Heath Public Library. Boerne Bank President DeVan Watts and Jefferson Bank Chairman Steve Lewis spoke on behalf of the Boerne branch and the company respectively. Banking staff members were also on hand with Jefferson Bank executives and staff members from their other bank branches. City of Boerne Mayor signs Chamber of Commerce Week Proclamation
City of Boerne Mayor Dan Heckler addressed the Board of Directors and staff of the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce in City Chambers on Monday, October 18 to kick off Chamber of Commerce Week in Boerne. Afterwards he signed the Chamber of Commerce Week in Boerne Proclamation. Texas Chamber of Commerce Week runs from October 18 through October 23.
The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce is located at 126 Rosewood Ave. in Boerne and has been in business since 1928. The Chamber promotes the growth and expansion of business in Kendall County, a community that is home to 35,000 residents. The Chamber consists of more than 700 business investors representing 11,700 employees in the Boerne and Hill Country region.
