Pekapeka Wetland is a wetland reserve located 12 kilometres by road south of Hastings in the Poukawa Basin of Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
it is a great place for picnic and photography. there is not much people in this place. thats why the video look awesome with just us, and you can take amazing photo on that bridge with the reflection on the water.

Follow The Smiths expedition through the Pekapeka Wetlands situated along State highway 2, Hastings District, Hawkes bay. First time taking our fur baby on our travels, she loved every single moment of it. Probably not as much as we love her though, enjoying life and family 2018.

Pekapeka Wetlands
The Pekapeka wetlands is an area that has always interested me with it's tree stumps protruding from the water it is reminiscent of the dead marshes in lord of the rings.
The Hawke's Bay Regional Council describes it as:
Pekapeka is a remnant of a much larger wetland complex and today covers 98 ha. Tree roots have been found beneath the peat that suggests the wetland was once forested – more than 10,000 years ago. The wetland is 4.5km long, only 800m wide at its widest point but the perimeter is 11.3km.

Napier City - Art Deco Capital of New Zealand | New Zealand from Above [Drone]
Napier, a coastal city on New Zealand's North Island, is set amid the renowned wine-producing region of Hawke's Bay. Rebuilt after a 1931 earthquake, the city is known for art deco landmarks like the zigzag-patterned Daily Telegraph Building. Along the tree-lined waterfront promenade the Marine Parade, the Pania of the Reef statue depicting a Maori maiden, is a symbol of the city.
