Fairy Bay, Pelorus Sound, Marlborough Sounds, Marlborough
Tightly Held Land in a Desirable Bay
Considered by locals as one of the more attractive bays of inner Pelorus Sound, Fairy Bay has always been tightly held, being beautifully sheltered from prevailing north-west and southerly winds, as well as offering stunning northern views across the bay to protected native bush reserve land.
With a reliable natural water source, phone nearby and a share in a substantial jetty, a lot of the hard work has been done, allowing you the opportunity to establish your dream home for family, friends and future generations to enjoy.
A track has been formed leading to the 9,197 sq m section which had a Geo-Tech report done in 2006 identifying a north facing building site on a moderate slope set amongst Manuka and Punga.
This property would be perfect for someone wishing to build their dream retirement home, permanent home or just become a wonderful holiday destination for themselves, friends, extended family and future generations to enjoy.
The Marlborough Sounds boasts 20 percent of New Zealand's coastline, offering sailing, kayaking, diving, boating, hunting, water skiing, fishing and hiking, and is only a 45 minute boat ride from Havelock shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and a short drive further to Blenheim or Nelson.
This is your opportunity to secure a slice of paradise in one of the most desirable bays in Pelorus Sound.

Comparing no marina with marina - Matiatia Bay and Havelock Marina
In December 2013 I went through Havelock Marina which is located at the gateway of Pelorus and Kenepuru Sounds in the Marlborough Sounds. Very beautiful until you get close up.
Motuara Island - Queen Charlotte Sound
This beautiful island sanctuary is a real jewel to the Marlborough Sounds and helps guard the Queen Charlotte Sounds at the Northern Entrance. It has a wharf on the South Western side and a path that meanders through native bush to a lookout tower with the most spectacular views.
This flight cruises right over the top of the island and you can see the look out tower where the operators are flying from. This video gives you a really unique perspective of Motuara Island and Long Island. Take a look at the crystal clear water and all the seaweed growing along this pristine island coastline.

living the dream
Picton marina at certain times of the year becomes the hangout area for seals. They are not shy and will play all day by the breakwater at the entrance to the marina. Waikawa bay is a picturesque spot for a picnic. Karaka point is the site of an ancient Maori pa (settlement) with a walkway down to a small beach at the end. Information boards tell you the history of the area.
