ROADTRIP SUASANA JALAN KUTA LEGIAN SEMINYAK PETITENGET BALI.
LEGIAN
Legian Road or Jalan Legian is the main street that runs north-south from Kuta to Seminyak on the island of Bali in Indonesia. Legian Road contains a variety of shops, bars, hotels and dance clubs. Its proximity to the beach and its prominent nightlife make it host to thousands of tourists. This street that connects Seminyak with Kuta isn't just a venue for pulsating nightlife. It's also an excellent spot for some retail therapy, with its collection of jewelry and clothing shops.
KUTA
Kuta is a beach and resort area in the south of the island of Bali, Indonesia. One of Bali's first tourist developments, it's best known for its party-centric atmosphere and surfing in the Indian Ocean. Kuta's long, consistent waves make it a popular surf spot, particularly for beginners, with plenty of outfitters offering board rentals and surf lessons.
SEMINYAK
Seminyak is Bali’s most sophisticated and upscale beach resort area, where the top draws are its beautiful beaches and chilled-out vibes. Compared to the likes of Ubud, there’s not a huge number of things to see and do here, but there are some fun, family-friendly attractions to enjoy.
Despite humble beginnings, Seminyak is now a very modern part of Bali. Even so, among the glitz and glamour of the boutique shopping streets and fine-dining restaurants are some traditional touches like Petitenget Temple. If you’re looking for something to do between sunbathing sessions on some of Bali’s most beautiful beaches, you’ll find a good selection of distractions here.
Seminyak is part of the main west coast conurbation in South Bali and it can get very congested with traffic. There are two main routes in. From Kuta and Legian, Jalan Legian runs parallel with the beach and at its western limit, becomes Jalan Seminyak. If at all possible try to avoid this road though, and take instead the eastern bypass called Jalan Sunset. This is almost invariably the quicker route from Kuta and Legian into Seminyak, although it is actually further in distance.
PETITENGET
Petitenget is a chic cosmopolitan district blending in with neighbouring Seminyak seamlessly. The two neighbourhoods are very much alike, with streets lined with amazing restaurants, trendy coffee shops, blissful spas and edgy boutiques. Petitenget is home to some of the most popular beach clubs in Bali and the beach offers fabulous views during sunset.
Petitenget exudes a chic, sophisticated ambiance with a colourful Balinese twist. The line between Petitenget and Seminyak is hazy and it’s hard to say where one area ends and the other one begins. Petitenget centres around the winding main street of Jalan Petitenget, which snakes past endless restaurants, cafes and spas before leading down to Petitenget Temple and the beach of the same name. This popular area is home to some of the most celebrated restaurants and most iconic beach clubs in Bali and as a result, it has grown into one of the most sought-after locations on the island.
Offering easy beach access, endless restaurants, pampering spa treatments and world-class entertainment, it’s little wonder Petitenget has emerged as one of the most popular areas in Bali. Bustling Petitenget attracts travelers from all walks of life, though the scene tends to be more sophisticated than down south in Legian and Kuta.

Pura Petitenget is a Bali Hindu temple which is located opposite to Petitenget Beach near Kerobokan ,North Kuta in Bali.
According to the stated history , this temple is known as a haunted place . The word Peti means box & Tenget means haunted.
Previously in 15th century, Pura Petitenget was a wild area with full of bushes and trees and was said to be unexplored by humans.
Once a priest called Dang Hyang Niratha entered a village now known as Kerobokan and found a giant sized shadow hiding behind the bushes. He asked the shadow to come forward and found that there existed a son of the god of Labuhan Masceti which is a mean spirit with a frightening appearance named Bhuta Ijo. Before leaving the village, the priest gave a holy box to Bhuta Ijo and asked it to keep the box safely for him. The priest then left the village and sometime later a visitor from Kerobokan village came to the priest and asked for help. The villager told the priest about the mysterious things happening near by his village and said that every time someone attempted to enter the village land , they all became ill. Then the priest advised the villager to build a shrine and present offerings to Bhuta Ijo which is the spirit that guards the land. Later the Shrine was built by the villagers and magically found that the illness were no more, and they could enter the land without any harm.
Petitenget Beach
A white sandy beach is located just opposite the Pura Petitenget Temple which is known as Petitenget Beach. The beach is a beautiful spot to enjoy while the sun sets in Bali. The beach also serves as a place for the purification ritual for residents of Kerobokan and its surrounding areas.

SEMINYAK BALI INDONESIA | TRAVEL VLOG APRIL 2018
“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.”
Oprah Winfrey
hello friend, nice to see you! We are Vanja & Dragan, originally from Yugoslavia living in the San Francisco area. We decided to sell everything, buy two backpacks and travel for EIGHT months (starting April 2018)! We booked a one-way ticket to Bali, a few hotel nights and off we went. Crazy? Yes! Life-changing? Hell yeah!
Without ANY prior video experience, we bought the GoPro and DJI Spark drone, started recording and created this first video/vlog with the help of iMovie and free music from SoundCloud. It took some time, but we did it. And we're only getting started, the plan is to create a video (or few) per city/destination.
We hope these videos will inspire you to start planning your own adventure! Share your plans and experiences with us, we'd love to hear from you.
If we can, so can YU! We explore, YU explore, everyone GO EXPLORE! :)

SEMINYAK BALI'S CENTRE OF LIFE
Seminyak today is Bali's up-and-coming fashion, dining and accommodation precinct, an upmarket coastal enclave just north of Legian and Kuta. Situated some 10 km from Denpasar, capital city of Bali, Seminyak stretches from Double Six Street in the south and morphs into the villages of Kerobokan and Umalas, north of Pura Petitenget temple. Although it may be somewhat difficult to stipulate where precisely Kuta, Legian or Seminyak begin or end, but one thing is clear: Seminyak is certainly in a class all its own. The atmosphere here is much more sophisticated and laid-back compared to Kuta, while the beach in particular is relatively quieter during the day.
Get There
Seminyak is part of the main west coast conurbation in South Bali and traffic can get very congested at times. From Kuta and Legian, the Legian Street runs parallel with the beach, and at its western limit continues as Seminyak Street. You can also get to Seminyak via the eastern by pass of Sunset Street. This is almost invariably the quicker route from Kuta and Legian into Seminyak, although it is actually further distance-wise.

Seminyak Side Way
Jalan Raya Seminyak (more often referred to as Jalan Legian), runs parallel with the beach, bisecting the district and acts as its main road artery.
The next town north of Legian, Seminyak is more upmarket with mostly luxury accommodation and fashionable high-end restaurants and bars. The atmosphere is much more sophisticated and laid-back than Kuta, and the beach in particular is quieter during the day. Seminyak is also the high end spa and boutique shopping capital of Bali. Nowhere is the upscaling of Bali in recent years more obvious than here.
It is hard to imagine that only ten years ago this was a distinctly separate village, and something of a backwater. Development has occurred at an astonishing pace, and as well as absorbing all green space which formerly separated Seminyak from Legian, it is now almost impossible to determine where Seminyak ends and the nearby villages of Petitenget, Umalas and Kerobokan begin. This certainly has it downside, and the whole district has become very congested.
Seminyak is part of the main west coast connurbation in South Bali and it can get very congested with traffic.
A prepaid taxi from the airport to Seminyak costs a fixed Rp 60,000. Trips to or from Kuta cost around Rp 30,000 and from Legian about Rp 15,000.
The streets of Seminyak are increasingly jammed, with Jalan Laksmana being a particular black-spot. Your best options here are to walk or rent a motorcycle/bicycle.
A number of roads in Seminyak have alternative names. Whilst this issue is not exclusive to Seminyak, it does seem to happen here more than anywhere else in Bali. There follows a list of road names with the most popular given first and the alternatives afterwards in brackets.
Jalan Arjuna (Jalan Double Six, Jalan 66)
Jalan Raya Seminyak (Jalan Raya Basangkasa)
Jalan Dhyana Pura (Jalan Caplak Tanduk)
Jalan Laksmana (Jalan Oberoi, Jalan Kayu Aya)
Jalan Pantai Legian (Jalan Blue Ocean)
Jalan Mertanadi (Jalan Penjara)
Seminyak Beach and Petitenget Beach is a continuous expanse of grey sand stretching in both directions as far as the eye can see. To the south it becomes Legian Beach and then Kuta Beach, but is noticeably quieter than both. The sunsets here are famous, and opportunites abound to mix with the glitterati who frequent the high end beach front estalilshments such as Ku De Ta. Easy access points to the beach are at the end of Jalan Dhyana Pura, and from the large public car park (Rp 2,000) between Petitenget Temple and La Luciola restaurant.
Pura Petitenget at the beachside off Jl Petitenget is a compact, pretty Balinese temple, which is known for particularly spectacular beach-side ceremonies. There has been a temple here since at least the 16th century, and although this is not one of the key nine directional temples of Bali, it is an important link in the series of west coast temples between Pura Uluwatu and Pura Tanah Lot.
