Flying from New York to Toronto, Canada, catch my first impressions of Canada and follow along for some travel photography around Toronto with my Fujifilm X-H1.
Honestly, I couldn't stop taking photos of the CN Tower throughout the few days we had in Toronto. Partly because I was so excited to finally see it, and partly because it's literally sticking out behind every single building and every single view of the city!
Even though we only spent a few days in Toronto, I really fell in love with Canada and will definitely be returning for a much longer time in the future. I'm so glad we squeezed Toronto into our New York trip, as well as a quick visit to Montreal which you can catch in the next video.

Fall Colour Photography in Muskoka, Canada | Landscape Photography Vlog
Fall colour photography is a landscape photographer's dream. I headed up to Muskoka, Ontario to shoot some fall colours in today's photography vlog.
The details for my camera bag contest are here:
Muskoka in the fall has always been somewhere that I've wanted to shoot. But, I thought I was actually in Toronto at the wrong time of month. I thought I was a bit too early for peak colours in Muskoka. And, it might have been a bit early. fall colours were at about 40%. I think, the day I went it was likely a week from peak colours in Muskoka. But, it was still really beautiful. And, I had so much fun.
I started my fall landscape photography at a place called Oxtongue Lake where there was a lot of morning mist coming up off the water. It was a beautiful scene. And, I got some cool sunrise photos. But, it wasn't the heavy fall colours that I was hoping for. So, I pushed on towards Algonquin Provincial Park, and stopped at a place called Ragged Falls. But, even at the park there was a lot of mist and fog. And, around the water there weren't a lot of colours.
Also, fall colour photography can be a bit of a challenge because you need the perfect light. A lot of shadows and backlight make it a little bit hard. But, above Ragged Falls on the Oxtongue River I found some really cool scenes of fall and the water in the foreground. And, by the end of the morning shoot, I ended up with a dozen images that I really like.
My fall photos for my trip to Muskoka are cool. And, I had so much fun up in this part of Ontario. Considering I went in blind and really didn't know where to go, I am extremely pleased with my shots.
Definitely, there are cool photography locations in Muskoka for fall colours. And, honestly, I only found a handful of them.
Tomorrow, I have one last vlog from Canada before heading out to the UK.
Hopefully, I can do some fall colour photography there too.
Downtown Toronto Photography Adventure
Toronto is the largest city in Canada, and there are endless opportunities to have a photography adventure in downtown Toronto. I start the day by going on a walk to check out some great spots for some landscape photography of the CN Tower, the tallest building in Canada. I start at Trillium Park just west of downtown and I then head to (and to the top of) the CN Tower for some breathtaking views!
Special thanks to photographer and traveller Kelsey Rowe (Canadian Kelsey) for writing a post on her travel blog about this walk:
After exploring the CN Tower, I head over to Graffiti Alley near Chinatown for some street photography of some amazing street art. I then head to the Stackt Market along Bathurst St for a photography meetup with Kelsey and Naveed where we got to do portrait photography and flash photography. I also interview Kelsey where we go in-depth of her passions for both photography and travel.

Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, is a major Canadian city along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore. It's a dynamic metropolis with a core of soaring skyscrapers, all dwarfed by the iconic, free-standing CN Tower. A Toronto Photographer's Journey to Find the Meaning of Home
Maha Munaf moved to Toronto just three years ago. Born in the United Arab Emirates to a Syrian mother and Iraqi father, she was often asked, Where is home?. It made her think back to a trip she took with her mother to Damascus, Syria in 2006. The photographs she took during that trip are part of an exhibit by Maha called Finding Hom

Landscape Photography in Toronto: Sunrise & Lake Ontario (Ep #110)
Join me for some landscape photography in Toronto, where I shoot sunrise and Lake Ontario.
My landscape photography channel has temporarily relocated from Snowdonia to Canada. As a guest of Simon Burn, for whose hospitality I am extremely grateful, I have been fortunate enough to witness some stunning sunrise and sunset light in locations which any landscape photographer would enjoy immensely. In this first instalment of a trio of blogs from Canada we visit the Toronto waterfront at sunrise followed by a series of beach locations on Lake Ontario. My image subjects include a wide range of standard landscape photography compositions, but being able to visit the location of this nature with a series of skills which I have developed over the last few years in order to make the most of my visit is an exciting prospect. In addition, being able to film and create detailed memories of my visit makes it even more special. I do hope you enjoy watching this as much as I enjoyed making it for you.
