Creepy Places of New England: Pilgrim Monument
Facebook:
The Pilgrims first landed in Provincetown, Massachusetts in 1620, and to honor them there is a tall granite tower simply called Pilgrim Monument. The monument was finished being built in 1910 and is about 252 feet high. Located on High Pole Hill Road, it is one of the most recognizable sites in all of Cape Cod. With my friends, we explore the sight and even go to the top, but this episode is paranormal free.

Best Whale Watching Cape Cod - Dolphin Fleet Review & Pilgrim Monument
Friendly Review of Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch Provincetown and the Pilgrim Monument and Pilgrim Museum in Provincetown. We visited Cape Cod Massachusetts in July 2017 and wanted to go on a whale watch. The Dolphin Fleet is well priced and has a lot of departure times. We saw a lot of whales (9 in total) diving, spy hopping, lob tailing, spout breathing, and a lot of breaching (chin breaching, and whole whales jumping out of the water). The was the best whale watch tour that we could have asked for. (with the exception of seeing a bubble net, but I won't complain) I hope your experience is as good as ours was.

About the monument:
The Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, Massachusetts, was built between 1907 and 1910, to commemorate the first landfall of the Pilgrims in 1620, and the signing of the Mayflower Compact in Provincetown Harbor.[1] This 252-foot-7.5-inch-tall (77.0 m) campanile is the tallest all-granite structure in the United States,[citation needed] and is part of the Provincetown Historic District.
In 1620, the Pilgrims spent five weeks exploring Cape Cod before they sailed to Plymouth, Massachusetts. After spending weeks at sea, the Pilgrims resolved not to set foot on land until the Mayflower Compact was written and signed.[citation needed] A contest was held to design a structure to commemorate the Pilgrims' landing; the winning design, by Willard T. Sears, was based upon the Torre del Mangia in Siena, Italy, designed by Agostino and Agnolo da Siena in 1309.

In My Footsteps: Cape Cod - Where The Pilgrims Walked
In 1620 the Pilgrims left England heading for a new life in what would one day become the United States. Their first landing spot was not Plymouth, it was Cape Cod. For five weeks the Pilgrims explored the bayside of the Cape from Provincetown down into Eastham. There are many spots where the Pilgrims left their footsteps. These are all featured in this video including First Landing Park, Pilgrim Springs Trail, and First Encounter Beach.
