Kenya: A Trip through Wildness | Free Documentary Nature
Fascinating landscapes and a breathtaking variety of animals, this is Kenya. From elephant to leopard and giraffe to rhinoceros, this area is a place for the animals of Africa where to grant them protection is more important for the people than to hunt them.
A variety of national parks award Kenya as a paradise for animals. These refuges are also an important standing leg for the tourism. Many of them are managed by the state, however, some are operated by animal welfare organisations or private animal lovers.
The Solio game reserve is such a place. It is regarded as the first managed privately owned rhino refuge in Africa. Not only rhinos find protection from poachers here but also almost all other typical animals of Africa, as for example buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, and leopards and many more. However, Solio was not the only place of interest for the camera team.

11 Day East Africa Safari | Kenya and Tanzania
Our customized East Africa Safari to Kenya and Tanzania was 11 days and was less than $5000 a person (including international flights). We went during June to try to see the Great Migration. We visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Seregenti National Park, and Maasai Mara. We started and ended our trip in Nairobi, Kenya. Gosheni Safaris organized our itinerary and used Alltime Safaris as their sister company for our Kenya portion. Everything was thorough, well-planned, and well-executed.

19-day Kenya and Tanzania African Wildlife Safari (2017)
On this nineteen-day trip through the grasslands of Kenya and Tanzania, explore incredible national parks, game reserves and conservancies.
This safari includes a total of 14 days in national parks/reserves and private wildlife conservancies, thereby providing sensational wildlife viewing opportunities; 5 nights in the Masai Mara, 3 nights in Serengeti National Park, 3 nights Tarangire National Park, and 2 nights Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We use a variety in accommodation throughout; ranging from private fully-serviced mobile tenting (always the favourite part of the itinerary with guests as it is private wilderness tenting, away from other travellers and you do not have to lift a finger – everything is done for you) to luxury tented camps, lodge, chalets and hotel.
Porini Mara Camp - Ol Kinyei Conservancy Kenya
In 2017 and in 2018 we spent some days at the Porini Mara Camp in Kenya's Ol Kinyei Conservancy. Here's a short video from 2017 showcasing the wildlife around the area as well as life in the camp. I hope you enjoy the video!
Filmed with Canon 70D and 100-400.

SAFARI PLANNING 4: Self Drive Safari Vehicle Gear
A brief walk-around and tour through our TD5 110 Defender Pick-up that we rented and used for overlanding through the Nrogongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti, and Tarangire National Parks in Tanzania this summer. This video just gives a taste of one of our private campsites and the way we appointed all the gear discussed in the preceding preparation and planning videos in this playlist. More videos of the actual adventure to follow soon.
Amazing Kenya | Masai Mara 2019 in HD
Highlights of a day at Masai Mara National Reserve.
Offering superb plains scenery, unmatched safari activities and diverse wildlife, Masai Mara National Reserve is considered Kenya’s best park and one of Africa’s highest wildlife density region for predators. The reserve covers 583 square miles (1510 square kilometers) of outstanding wilderness in southwest Kenya. The location, wildlife, activities and comfortable moderate climate puts Mara at the top of the list, even for the most discerning AfricanMecca traveler to Kenya. When the public reserve was first established, it covered 645 square miles (1672 square kilometers). Strategically, the size of the reserve was later reduced in 1984 to accommodate Maasai cattle grazing on their ancestral lands. Although the decrease in land area may be considered a letdown for wildlife conservation and protection at its infancy, the animals and habitats of the reserve found new allies to ensure their survival for generations to come. Many private conservancies have been introduced to protect the land that surrounds the reserve, thereby providing more area for wildlife. The lands not only protect habitats for resident species, but also preserve a critical part of the route used by wildebeests and zebras during the Great Migration that traverses the Masai Mara via the Serengeti National Park. Recognized as one of the most spectacular wildlife events on the planet, the migration is a continuous route that is followed by an over 1.5 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, gazelles and elands. In their never-ending pursuit for the finest grazing and watering grounds, the gnu relocate on an almost constant basis. The perseverance of these wildebeests is demonstrated in their ability to mate while on the move, and many cows are pregnant during part of the migration. Additionally, even the youngest wildebeest calves are expected to keep up with the herd. Standing and walking within minutes are critical to its survival.
The migrators of Masai Mara National Reserve are present from approximately late July – early August until end of October – early November. But the Mara offers year-round game viewing. The reserve and surrounding conservancies offer diverse resident species experiences during your safari excursions. You will frequently see impalas, topis, giraffes, elephants, zebras, buffalos, warthogs and other grazing herbivores. With so many prey animals, Masai Mara is a veritable bonanza for large predators, such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles and other stealthy, powerful hunters. The abundance of terrestrial animals is enhanced by the presence of more than 450 winged species, including 57 birds of prey. Masai Mara Game Reserve offers AfricanMecca guests varied tour activities to explore the plains landscape and see incredible animal behaviors. The adjoining conservancies offer distinct activities that are not allowed in the reserve. Game drives in the reserve are perfect for guests who want to be immersed in Kenya’s bush country and see larger animals. For guests who are interested in observing the nocturnal animals, we recommend night game drives in one of the private conservancies. The Serengeti-Mara ecosystem is recognized for an enormous diversity of flora and fauna, and many small details are missed during game drives. Most conservancies offer bush walks to give you an intimate look at the micro-ecosystems of the area. To complement these walks, we recommend a balloon safari for a bird’s-eye view of the area. Lastly, the Maasai community is key to the advancement of wildlife management in the area. We recommend that you spend time learning more about these noble people by visiting one of their villages for a life-changing cultural experience in understanding their modesty and simplicity of their lives.
What's Masai Mara Safari Like
Maasai Mara Game Reserve is the top safari destination in Kenya and is about 260km from Nairobi, Kenya's Capital.
Game Drive Safari
A game drive means to see wildlife by driving in a safari vehicle. Maasai Mara is a popular place to spot the Big 5: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino. Together with the Serengeti in Tanzania, Masai Mara forms Africa’s one of the most diverse safari big game viewing eco-system.
A usual game drive lasts the whole day. It involves a lot of driving and stopping when an animal has been spotted through the aid of your driver/ guide, who is a professional wildlife spotter.
In the game drive, you will see the animals in their natural habitat and we recommend a stay of at least 2 to 3 nights to appreciate them. Each day, you usually bring a pack-lunch arranged by your tour operator. There is also an area where you can go on a short walking safari with a park ranger.
Accommodation
In a typical safari, camp means accommodation which is often a tented camp or a lodge-like the one that we stayed at. This type falls under Mid-range accommodation by Kenya standards. There is also plenty of mid-luxury to high-end luxury options for a heftier price tag. There are budget options too that are still private tented camps, it just varies on the amenities with basic interiors but you still have everything you need. Finally, there are camping sites too for the cheapest option.
Masai Mara is a year-round destination, just avoid the rainy season from April to May and also the peak season of June to October where prices are higher and crowds pile up unless you want to see the Great Migration.
The Mugie Story - Mugie Conservancy Laikipia, Kenya
Mugie Conservancy is a wildlife sanctuary in Laikipia, East Africa.
It supports some of the most precious biodiversity on the planet. From the tiny rodents to some of Africas largest animals, each paying an important part in #landscapeconnectivity and the ecosystem.
For me, this was a passion project to help aid the amazing work conservancies like #Mugie is doing in East Africa. I had the most incredible few days filming whilst learning about animal & #wildlife conservation. Situated around 6hrs from Nairobi. The long drive to Laikipia was well worth it! I saw so much wildlife in the few days there, from exotic endangered birds like the grey-crowned crane, to a pride of 10 lions!
My learnings: Never underestimate what the impact can be on environmental disruptions even if it appears insignificant. Everything is connected and is there for a reason. We need to be more environmentally conscious and respect animals & the earth.

Botswana Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Botswana.
Botswana is the largest natural paradise in southern Africa. Limited tourism, a combination of untouched wilderness and the comfort and luxury of a handful of safari camps, makes this Africa’s model country. Our journey begins in nearby Zimbabwe that is located close to Botswana’s northern frontier at Victoria Falls that is undoubtedly one of the most impressive natural wonders in the world. Eighty kilometres west and we have crossed the Botswana border and arrive in the first large city in the north of the country, Kasane, that is located on the Chobe River and marks the country’s frontier with Namibia. In addition to growing tourism the fishing industry is also important to Kasane’s economy. The river contains an abundance of fish and so the local fishermen are provided with a good income to support their families. Since 1915 Ma-Un has been Botswana’s main city and until the beginning of the 1990s was only accessible via dusty gravel roads, a border town on the edge of a vast wilderness. The state run Moremi National Park that extends for around a hundred thousand hectares is the largest nature reserve in the Okavango Delta. It is located on Chief’s Island, the largest island in the region. In recent years further private wildlife reserves have been established that are well worth a visit and are also strictly controlled and protected natural habitats. Amid the African wilderness we arrive at a luxurious lodge that is not only the ideal starting point for many safaris but also provides a good degree of relaxation after an exhausting day out. Suddenly two members of the San Tribe approach the lodge. These ‘Bushmen’ will accompany us on our journey into the Kalahari Desert that is also their home. Elephant herds on the Chobe River, the vast wilderness of the Kalahari and the mystique of the Okavango Delta help to make Botswana one of the last great paradises on Earth!

My Friend Irma: Psycholo / Newspaper Column / Dictation System
My Friend Irma, created by writer-director-producer Cy Howard, is a top-rated, long-run radio situation comedy, so popular in the late 1940s that its success escalated to films, television, a comic strip and a comic book, while Howard scored with another radio comedy hit, Life with Luigi. Marie Wilson portrayed the title character, Irma Peterson, on radio, in two films and a television series. The radio series was broadcast from April 11, 1947 to August 23, 1954.
Dependable, level-headed Jane Stacy (Cathy Lewis, Diana Lynn) began each weekly radio program by narrating a misadventure of her innocent, bewildered roommate, Irma, a dim-bulb stenographer from Minnesota. The two central characters were in their mid-twenties. Irma had her 25th birthday in one episode; she was born on May 5. After the two met in the first episode, they lived together in an apartment rented from their Irish landlady, Mrs. O'Reilly (Jane Morgan, Gloria Gordon).
Irma's boyfriend Al (John Brown) was a deadbeat, barely on the right side of the law, who had not held a job in years. Only someone like Irma could love Al, whose nickname for Irma was Chicken. Al had many crazy get-rich-quick schemes, which never worked. Al planned to marry Irma at some future date so she could support him. Professor Kropotkin (Hans Conried), the Russian violinist at the Princess Burlesque theater, lived upstairs. He greeted Jane and Irma with remarks like, My two little bunnies with one being an Easter bunny and the other being Bugs Bunny. The Professor insulted Mrs. O'Reilly, complained about his room and reluctantly became O'Reilly's love interest in an effort to make her forget his back rent.
Irma worked for the lawyer, Mr. Clyde (Alan Reed). She had such an odd filing system that once when Clyde fired her, he had to hire her back again because he couldn't find anything. Useless at dictation, Irma mangled whatever Clyde dictated. Asked how long she had been with Clyde, Irma said, When I first went to work with him he had curly black hair, then it got grey, and now it's snow white. I guess I've been with him about six months.
Irma became less bright as the program evolved. She also developed a tendency to whine or cry whenever something went wrong, which was at least once every show. Jane had a romantic inclination for her boss, millionaire Richard Rhinelander (Leif Erickson), but he had no real interest in her. Another actor in the show was Bea Benaderet.
Katherine Elisabeth Wilson (August 19, 1916 -- November 23, 1972), better known by her stage name, Marie Wilson, was an American radio, film, and television actress. She may be best remembered as the title character in My Friend Irma.
Born in Anaheim, California, Wilson began her career in New York City as a dancer on the Broadway stage. She gained national prominence with My Friend Irma on radio, television and film. The show made her a star but typecast her almost interminably as the quintessential dumb blonde, which she played in numerous comedies and in Ken Murray's famous Hollywood Blackouts. During World War II, she was a volunteer performer at the Hollywood Canteen. She was also a popular wartime pin-up.
Wilson's performance in Satan Met a Lady, the second film adaptation of Dashiell Hammett's detective novel The Maltese Falcon, is a virtual template for Marilyn Monroe's later onscreen persona. Wilson appeared in more than 40 films and was a guest on The Ed Sullivan Show on four occasions. She was a television performer during the 1960s, working until her untimely death.
Wilson's talents have been recognized with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame: for radio at 6301 Hollywood Boulevard, for television at 6765 Hollywood Boulevard and for movies at 6601 Hollywood Boulevard.
Wilson married four times: Nick Grinde (early 1930s), LA golf pro Bob Stevens (1938--39), Allan Nixon (1942--50) and Robert Fallon (1951--72).
She died of cancer in 1972 at age 56 and was interred in the Columbarium of Remembrance at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood Hills.
