Capel Curig Walk, Snowdonia Walks In Gwynedd, Wales, UK
This Capel Curig Walk was about 4 miles in distance. The terrain of the route was generally clear and surfaced paths through woodland, wetland and high pastures. The walking was easy either on level ground or gentle to moderate slopes. Route finding was easy with obvious paths, good waymarking and good landmarks. Some of the paths were wet and slippery in places. There were 8 stiles to negotiate with most of them being ladder-stiles.

PLAS Y BRENIN SKI SLOPE
the dry ski slope at the national mountain centre in capel curig north wales
snowdonia national park, north Wales, Moel Siabod, boxing day 2012
a walk up Moel Siabod on boxing day 2012, the weather was checked and giving good clear weather, but it turned in the last 1000ft from the summit, unable to film the last section of the climb except the summit itself due to ice and snow as i put 100% concentration into it.
Moel Siabod sits isolated above the villages of Betws-y-Coed and Capel Curig. At 872m it is the highest peak in the Moelwynion mountain range. The UK National Mountain Centre, Plas-y-Brenin, is located at the foot of Moel Siabod. From the top of the mountain, it is reputedly possible to see 13 of the 14 highest peaks in Wales on a clear day without turning one's head. The words Moel Siabod translate from Welsh as shapely hill. The mountain is easily accessible from the north via Capel Curig and nearby Pont Cyfyng the route which i took.

Snowdonia - Betws y Coed - Llanberis - North Wales
I decided to take the day off from cooking and take you on a trip through the wonderful and majestic scenery of Snowdonia, passing through Betws y Coed, Capel Curig and Llanberis.
We also visit the Snowdon Mountain Railway terminal in Llanberis.
I finish up with fish and chips at the Moel Siabod Cafe in Capel Curig.
Errata:
At 2:02 I state that Betws y Coed is on the 'Conway River', but in fact it is on the Afon Llugwy which is a tributary of Afon (River) Conwy. Afon Conwy flows out to sea at Conwy.
At 2:17 I describe 'Ogwen Valley' Dyffryn Ogwen as 'the source', which is only partially true. The main source are the twin lakes Llynnau Mymbyr near Plas y Brenin in Capel Curig. Llyn Ogwen and its river Afon Ogwen flow out to sea on the eastern side of Bangor in the county of Gwynedd.

The Story of Gelert:
In the 13th century, Llywelyn, Prince of North Wales, had a palace at Beddgelert. one day he went hunting without Gelert The Faithful Hound who was unaccountably absent. On Llywelyn's return, the truant stained and smeared with blood, joyfully sprang to meet his master. The Prince alarmed hastened to find his son, and saw the infant's cot empty, the bedclothes and floor covered with blood. The frantic father plunged the sword into the hound's side thinking it had killed his heir. The dog's dying yell was answered by a child's cry. Llywelyn searched and discovered his boy unharmed but near by lay the body of a mighty wolf which Gelert had slain, the Prince filled with remorse is said never to have smiled again. he buried Gelert here. The spot is called Beddgelert.

Wales - Pen-y-Pass

Calm Resolve - John Lawrence
The first song from John's new album, Calm Resolve reinvents the musical wheel, from the end of an emotional line, as life disintegrates around you. Letting go of false and harmful props to be born again with a newfound sense of self belief and strengh. Choral, brass and a death jazz fusion feel. John dismantles conventional musical form, reconstructing it in the most imaginative, genius and original way to create a musical firework display unlike anything else ever written.
The video comprises a 2 mile flight down the Dyffryn Mymbyr valley, From Plas Y Brenin, Capel Curig, over the twin lakes towards a snowcapped Yr Wyddfa, Snowdon. Also a flight over Llyn Marchlyn mawr to the peak of Elidir fawr, one of Snowdonia's tallest mountains.
