Shocking moment brawl erupts on late night train to Hull from Leeds
Three friends - Jacob West, Luke Lyons, and Max Pearson - were returning from a university reunion in Leeds when they were attacked by two men shortly before they were due to get off in Brough.The violence, which began after 10.30pm on January 28 last year, lasted about five minutes and ended when a guard came and split the men up. Although Williams, Griffin and Pearson all admitted assault by beating, Mr West, 27, was convicted of common assault after a trial. He successfully appealed against that conviction in a hearing at Hull Crown Court on Thursday.

Shocking scenes as mass brawl breaks out at bar in Leeds
CCTV show brawlers trading blows, stamping on each other and hurling glasses as a barman is forced to look on helplessly. A lone doorman tries to keep the men apart but each time the violence ceases another man surges forward to attack again. The brawl broke out in The Arc Bar in the Headingley area of Leeds, at around 12.30am on February 17. A 28-year-old man suffered a head wound and was rushed to hospital, while a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been released under investigation. There has only been one arrest and detectives are still appealing for information to identify the men involved.
