Drone footage from flying over Rocky Bay & Onehunga Bay at Whitireia Park and Motukaraka Point in the Porirua Harbour, Wellington, New Zealand.
The area has beautiful cliffs, mountains, rocky beaches and clear blue water. Mana Island can be seen in the distance. It doesn't seem to be well known, but it's well worth a visit if you're in the area.
All video was recorded on Tooty the DJI Phantom 4 drone.
The cheapest way to get one in New Zealand, is to buy a package deal from Amazon and then ship it into New Zealand with YouShop. Even with shipping, GST and customs fees added on, it was still more than $500 cheaper than buying in NZ.

Completed this video in 2012 for a assignment in 3rd year for Landscape Architecture. It compliments a presentation, that focuses on a new development in Porirua, New Zealand.
I used Sketchup for the base model, and completed the rendering stage through Lumion. After the rendering was completed I used iMovie to add text, music and effects.

Including scenes from Porirua's city centre; the day the Queen visited (1962); footage from the day the Governor General declared Porirua a city (1965); a custard pie throwing event organised by 2ZB; a Self Help trolley dash; the opening of Woolworths; the opening of Radfords; the opening of the Maternity Hospital.
