Winnipeg Today | 34 | Portage Place | Edmonton Court | Aug 2017
Portage Place is a mixed-use shopping centre located in Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It is located on the north side of Portage Avenue, between Vaughan and Carlton Streets and opened on September 17, 1987.
There is a clock tower located in the Edmonton Court of Portage Place. Parts of the clock date back to 1903. Originally built to be placed in the dome of city hall. The clockmaker was Seth Thomas Company and local jeweller George Andrew of Andrew and Co. was awarded the contract to procure and install the clock. The original city hall clock had four clock faces, each 7 feet (2.1 m) in diameter and made of crushed glass. The original weights used to balance the pendulum weighed 1,000 pounds (450 kg) each.
The city hall building that the clock was built for came to an end in 1961. In the 1980s parts of the clock were moved to the Edmonton Court of Portage Place mall. The faces and hands of the current clock are replicas of the originals. The bells are not from the 1903 clock, and the chimes are now electronic. At the Portage Place location the clock was inoperable for a number of years due to damage from a contractor and later due to damage from a member of the public. (Wiki)

Portage Place Fountain - Winnipeg, Manitoba July 2017
When I made my first ever visit to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the 103rd Grey Cup. Stopped into the Portage Place Shopping Centre downtown and had a kick out of this fountain. Regretted not taking a video then but got to do so here when I returned in July 2017.

Winnipeg Today | 40 | The Winnipeg Walkway | Underground area Main St - Portage Ave
The Winnipeg Walkway System, also known as the Winnipeg Skywalk, is a network of pedestrian skyways and tunnels connecting a significant portion of downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Main Underground. This portion of the network is centred underneath the historic intersection of Portage and Main, said to be the windiest in Canada. At street level this intersection is closed to pedestrians; it is not possible to cross it without going underground.

I often do video on the Skywalk on Saturday or Sunday. Most people do not like when they are filmed. The filming of video on the streets and public places in Canada is, so-called, the gray area of the law. There are laws that are in favor and which are against it. I try to shoot when there are fewer people around, although I know that many want to see people who live in Winnipg in the videos.
