Inspired by the life of Rock legend Marc Bolan, 20th Century Boy is a dazzling stage musical telling the tragic story about one of Britain’s greatest rock stars who tragically died in a car crash just two weeks before his 30th birthday in 1977.
Featuring some of the greatest pop songs ever written, 20th Century Boy tells the story of Marc Bolan and his band T.Rex from his early teens in the sixties in North London, where he was trying anything to be famous, first through fashion and then through his skill as a songwriter, exposing some of the myths and taking the audience on a tearful, yet joyful journey through Marc's fascinating life.
Bolan lived life at breakneck speed and when success came, it was massive, leading to a string of number one hits, an army of obsessive fans and the band to be called ‘bigger than The Beatles’ by the British media.
The musical is packed with 24 of Marc’s legendary hits performed ‘live’ on stage and recreating the awesome sound of the 70s. A glorious story and celebration of glam rock at its colourful best!
Rocker, poet, electric warrior, king of glam and godfather of punk, Bolan was arguably the biggest rock star the UK had ever seen.
Featuring the smash hits; Get It On, Ride A White Swan, Metal Guru, I Love To Boogie, Hot Love, 20th Century Boy and many many more.

Joe Bonamassa - ‘Sloe Gin’ - Preston Guild Hall 2016 [4]
Lsst of 4 videos Joe's very own 'Sloe Gin' - well Tim Curry's actually.
Apologies for the number of ‘walk past black outs’ as I was on the aisle.
Joe Bonamassa at Preston Guild Hall instead of a waterlogged Hoghton Tower. He joked and won over the crowd – not hard to do – by saying the threat of cancellation was not going to stop him from fulfilling a 27 years wait to headline Preston! A little rain would not stop him achieving that dream. He said to the organisers, “So F*!# off we’re coming anyway!”
This show formed part of his British Blues Explosion Tour, playing from the catalogues of those British guitar icons, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page who inspired him from his early years.
Joe’s band :-
Michael Rhodes on Bass, Reese Wynans on Keyboards, Anton Fig on Drums, Russ Irwin on Guitar, Keyboards and backing vocals.

Hawkwind - Utopia - Social Alliance - (Live at Stonehenge Free Festival, UK, 1984)
HAWKWIND 1984 Solstice at stonehenge
06 utopia - social alliance
The story goes that, according to British law, any festival that runs successfully for 13 consecutive years enters the statute books under an ancient charter and becomes a public festival for all time. The Summer Solstice of 1984 marked the twelfth anniversary of the Stonehenge free festival. Headlining the show were space rockers Hawkwind. As usual the festival was a peaceful affair, attracting thousands of freedom loving folk in search of loud music, good fun and mind-altering substances. Fast-forward twelve months and it was an entirely different story. The authorities launched a massive operation, moving in with force to prevent the festival from happening, resulting in the fencing off of Britain's most famous ancient monument and an end to the free festival.
Fortune would have it that home-video pioneers Jetisoundz had arranged to record the events of the 21st June 1984. The film features Hawkwind's improvised performance of 'Ritual of Light and Dark' on the eve of the Solstice which continued after dawn, following the celebrated invasion of the Stones. In spite of the laid back party ambience this remains one of the bands most poignant sets in their thirty odd year career.
The classic line up of Dave Brock, Nik Turner, Harvey Bainbridge, Huw Lloyd-Langton, Alan Davy and Danny Thompson makes this recording all the more important. 'The Solstice at Stonehenge' is by far the most historically significant of Hawkwind's audio/visual output and should be cherished by fans, collectors and the curious alike. Love and peace!!!
