Pretoria : Botanical Garden (South Africa - 4K / UHD)
The Pretoria National Botanical Garden is one of South Africa's nine National Botanical Gardens. The garden is wedged between Pretoria Road and Cussonia Avenue in Brummeria, in eastern Pretoria, Gauteng, and flanks a central rocky ridge that runs from east to west. The 76 hectares (0.76 km2) garden was established in 1946, and of late hosts the headquarters of the South African National Biodiversity Institute.[1]

I have re-edited this video as I wasn't happy with the original edits I did using a free editing tool I was trying out! For this edit I used Adobe Premiere Pro and was rather happy considering my footage wasn't great.
The Pretoria National Botanical Garden is a colourful 76ha botanical tapestry located in the capital city of South Africa.
Truly a beautiful location; great for picnics, walks, family time in nature,
I used a Canon M50 and the Osmo Mobile 2 dji to capture the footage.

Parkrun South Africa | Pretoria Botanical Gardens | VLOG 1
Hi Beauties!!! We completed our first 5 km Parkrun SA at the Pretoria Botanical Gardens.
This route was challenging as we walked for the most part, however, being in nature and seeing God's exceptional work made manageable. The last uphill almost killed me (ok!!).
I don't have the worlds most steadiest hands, so this video might not be the best quality but I will take on this new challenge like we did with this parkrun...so please enjoy this venture with me for what it is.

The children died after the vehicle burst into flames following a collision with a truck just north of the capital.
They were understood to be both primary and secondary school age children on board.

Kirstenbosch is an important botanical garden nestled at the eastern foot of Table Mountain in Cape Town. The garden is one of ten National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa's six different biomes and administered by the South African National Biodiversity Institute.
Pretoria Zoo with family
We are currently traveling around South Africa and visited our family in Pretoria. We don't see them a lot so it is important for us to spend quality time together.
We decided to go to Pretoria zoo for the day. It was a lovely day out and it was fun to walk around the park. The zoo is well equipped with benches and little picnic areas. We saw a few families having a braai and it was lovely for us to spend the day with our family too.
The zoo is home to many different animals. There is also an aquarium and reptile section that you can view.
It was a great day and we realized once again how important family is. The greatest gift that you can give someone is your time. Make time for the important people in your life. :-)

A botanical garden or botanic garden is a garden dedicated to the collection, cultivation and display of a wide range of plants labelled with their botanical names. It may contain specialist plant collections such as cacti and succulent plants, herb gardens, plants from particular parts of the world, and so on; there may be greenhouses, shadehouses, again with special collections such as tropical plants, alpine plants, or other exotic plants. Visitor services at a botanical garden might include tours, educational displays, art exhibitions, book rooms, open-air theatrical and musical performances, and other entertainment.
Botanical gardens are often run by universities or other scientific research organizations, and often have associated herbaria and research programmes in plant taxonomy or some other aspect of botanical science. In principle, their role is to maintain documented collections of living plants for the purposes of scientific research, conservation, display, and education, although this will depend on the resources available and the special interests pursued at each particular garden.
The origin of modern botanical gardens can be traced to European medieval medicinal gardens known as physic gardens, the first of these being founded during the Italian Renaissance in the 16th century. This early concern with medicinal plants changed in the 17th century to an interest in the new plant imports from explorations outside Europe as botany gradually established its independence from medicine. In the 18th century, systems of nomenclature and classification were devised by botanists working in the herbaria and universities associated with the gardens, these systems often being displayed in the gardens as educational order beds. With the rapid rise of European imperialism in the late 18th century, botanic gardens were established in the tropics, and economic botany became a focus with the hub at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, near London.
Over the years, botanical gardens, as cultural and scientific organisations, have responded to the interests of botany and horticulture. Nowadays, most botanical gardens display a mix of the themes mentioned and more; having a strong connection with the general public, there is the opportunity to provide visitors with information relating to the environmental issues being faced at the start of the 21st century, especially those relating to plant conservation and sustainability.
