Prince Regent Swimming Complex Brighton
Prince Regent Swimming Complex is operated by Freedom Leisure on behalf of Brighton & Hove City Council. Located in Church Street, Prince Regent Swimming Complex is one of the most central lesiure facilities in Brighton.
The Swimmer (created by Same Sky)

The Swimmer, a FREE family-friendly, water-based interactive theatre show, took place at The Prince Regent Swimming Complex on Saturday 7 April 2012, as part of the Brighton and Hove Children's Festival.
Same Sky, Brighton's community art charity, designed and produced the event to build the confidence of newcomers to swimming and to inspire people to return to the pool.
During The Swimmer, families donned their swimming costumes, got into the water and became characters in the show. Synchronised swimmers, show divers, floating sets, spectacular costumes, interactive games and a giant Grandmother Turtle transformed the Prince Regent Swimming Pool into a magical setting.
Same Sky, the charity which also puts on the Brighton Children's Parade and Burning the Clocks each year, received funding from both Children in Need and Brighton and Hove Arts Partnership to put on the one-of-its-kind event. The project formed a major part of two city initiatives -- Brighton & Hove Children's Festival and the city's Cultural Olympiad programme.
Many thanks to The Modern Exposition for their kind permission to use their music track, The Sage Recluse, on this video.

Sea Lanes Project | Proposed Development // Brighton Sea Front
Sea Lanes Brighton propose to transform the former Peter Pan site on Madeira Drive, Brighton, by delving deep into its history and culture and reviving competitive and recreational sea-swimming on Brighton Seafront.
The vision is to create the UK’s first national open water swimming centre of excellence.
As the wider master plan for the area is finalised Sea Lanes will be taking the first step towards this vision with a planning application for a 5 year meanwhile development consisting of:
– Heated 25m outdoor swimming pool and associated facilities
– Boardwalk to the sea
– Endless pool training facility
– Ancillary commercial buildings providing flexible space for small businesses
At the heart of the scheme is the swimming pool, which will be accessible to all. The pool will provide much needed swimming facilities in Brighton and will act as a gateway for those looking to gain confidence to swim in the sea as well as a training hub for open water swimming events, triathlon, sea safety and lifeguard courses.
The swimming pool will be supported by 39 small business units suitable for retail, health and fitness, office space as well as a food court with street food kiosks and seating area.
The design of the development draws on Brighton’s rich and colourful history. Inspiration has been taken from across the city, particularly the vibrant colour palette, which includes red and yellows from the lifeguards, Brighton Pier sign and Prince Regent. The blues and greens are inspired by the sea, sky and the Brighton Blue of the Madeira Terrace, lampposts and railings throughout the city.
Sea Lanes Brighton long-term plan remains to deliver a 50m swimming pool that becomes recognised as the national open water swimming centre.

BIG HELLO to our fellow subscribers! ????
WARMEST WELCOME to our new subscribers! ????
Hey there lovelies and gents! TGIF! Yeyyy! So, a few weeks ago one of Daddy J's best mates who now lives in Australia came to visit us with his lovely girlfriend all the way from North Yorkshire to Kent. Some people will never understand why we are vlogging our lives and sharing some of our private moments publicly hence, we are filled with gratitude to have friends like them who are open-minded and very keen to support our little family’s mission - live to inspire and be inspired to live. Moving on, we went to Brighton (one of our favourite places to visit once and again). We all had a mint day mooching around the seafront not to mention the windy weather but it didn't stop us from making the most of the day. You'll definitely love the town's eccentric character and its vibrant ambience. Anyway, see it for yourself. ???? By the way, we are going camping for a week in Cornwall. Apologies in advance if we fail to post a new video next week but we will be back with stunning video footages for you guys. We will be active on Snapchat (???? likemardons) while we’re away. If you have one, let us know so we can add you too! Happy weekend ya’ll! ????
All the best,
Kendz

Brighton BA i360 Tower - Full ride, stunning views of Sussex coast, UK. Full experience.
The Brighton i360 Tower has a futuristic viewing pod, which gently ascends to 450 feet above Brighton, giving stunning 360 degree views of the city, the coast and the beautiful surrounding scenery, including the South Downs, the English Channel and the Seven Sisters. Apparently you can see the Isle of Wight on a clear day! My film takes you on a complete relaxing flight.
The circular glass domed pod, which is Britain’s tallest moving observation tower, was designed by the creators of the London Eye. It is also apparently the World’s tallest, slenderest tower. It is very spacious, and can accommodate up to 175 people, with some seating in the middle of the dome. Viewing positions are situated around the entire edge of the pod. The pod is air-conditioned or heated as required. The pod has easy access for wheelchair users. A free viewing map is available and a multi-lingual app can be download before boarding. The pod offers a bar for you to purchase refreshments. No toilets I am afraid – so go before you enter!
Flights start every half an hour roughly, time in the pod is 25 minutes approx, 10 minutes ascending, 5 minutes static at the top and the remainder descending. You need to arrive 20 minutes before your booked time for a security check (I didn’t have to put all my liquids in a clear plastic bag). The opening times are between 10 am and 5:30pm, slightly later at the weekends. You can book online or at the i360, a range of ticket options are available. Discounts for local residents are offered but you need to provide some documentation. At the time of writing cheapest tickets prices were: Adult £14.85 and Child £7.42. Check the prices here:
The i360 was opened in 2016 and is now called the British Airways i360. The i360 has a gift shop and food on sale in the beachfront building and terrace. There are alternative restaurants and cafes nearby.
Excellent views and really smooth ride, it really doesn’t feel like you are moving. Did the predecessor the Brighton wheel, which was good, but this is much better. Strange experience looking down and seeing people on the beach the size of ants! Highly Recommended.
Location: Head to the beach and frankly you can’t miss it!
Brighton
Brighton is an English seaside resort town on the South coast of England, about an hour south of London by train and is a popular day-trip destination. It is a diverse city, known for it’s quirky shops, vibrant music and arts scene. Amusement arcades and Regency-era buildings offer an interesting backdrop to its broad shingle beach.
History
During the Georgian era Brighton became a fashionable seaside resort when it was put on the map by the Prince Regent, who later became King George IV, who lived in the town and built the opulent Royal Pavilion. Brighton became a popular day trip destination for Londoners following the introduction of the railways in 1841 and continued to thrive during the Victorian era when a number of major attractions were built including the Brighton Palace Pier (opened1899).

Royal Pavillion in Brighton
Royal Pavillion in Brighton - September 21st 2010. It was built in three campaigns, beginning in 1787, as a seaside retreat for George, Prince of Wales, from 1811 Prince Regent. It is often referred to as the Brighton Pavilion. It is built in the Indo-Saracenic style prevalent in India for most of the 19th century, with the most extravagant chinoiserie interiors ever executed in the British Isles.
