Fuerteventura Surf Spots - Corralejo
I braved the elements and risked life and limb to capture the surfers surfing in Corralejo. OK, the truth is I sat comfortably on a bench and videoed because they were so close. I know nothing about surfing in Fuerteventura, other than having watched them for many years, but the waves in the Bristol Playa area of Corralejo seems to be one of the particularly good Fuerteventura surf spots. The Furerteventura surf scene is pretty good by all accounts.
It was a pleasant afternoon so I spent an hour filming this surfing video and watching the ferries come and go to Lanzarote.
I do admire the surfers and wonder how they survive in the waves sometimes.

STORYLINE:
Madrid saw the first signs of public anger since Thursday's bombings when thousands of Protesters gathered outside the offices of Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar's Partido Popular on Saturday afternoon.
Demonstrators demanded to know who was responsible for the bombings, accusing the government of covering up the truth.
Most of the Protesters had opposed Spain's support of the US-led invasion of Iraq and the deployment of Spanish troops there.
At the demonstration, they said that if Arab resistance was behind the bombings, the government would ultimately be responsible because of its decision to back the US.
Riot police stopped the Protesters from spilling out onto the street, but there were no confrontations.
Uncertainty about who carried out the bombings has left Spaniards perplexed ahead of Sunday's elections.
So far, autopsies of the dead show no evidence of suicide bombings, Spain's interior minister said, suggesting that Islamic terrorists who use such tactics might not have been involved.
Angel Acebes told a news conference that the Basque separatist group ETA was still the No. 1 suspect in Thursday's bombings, but the government has not ruled out al-Qaida, which had threatened to target U.S. allies from the Iraq war, including Spain.
