Argentina Travel Guide | Best things to do in Argentina Travel Video Transcript:
Well, welcome to Argentina! This month Sam and I are exploring Buenos Aires the Argentinian capital. And this video is going to show you 50 things to do around the city.
Buenos Aires is one of our favorite cities in the world, so as soon as we arrived, we hit the ground running. In this guide we'll be visiting numerous neighborhoods including Recoleta, San Telmo, Boca and Palermo, while showcasing a mix of fun activities and main attractions. And since we're huge foodies, we'll also be introducing you to a few Argentine dishes you simply cannot miss. For anyone planning a trip to the capital, here are 50 things to do in Buenos Aires:
And that's a huge wrap for our Buenos Aires City Guide. We really enjoyed showing you around one of our favorite cities in the world, and we hope that this video offered a bit of inspiration in terms of things to do, foods to eat, and activities to try on your visit. As always, if you have any suggestions of other fun things to do in Buenos Aires, please feel free to share those in the comments section below. Until next time!
So good afternoon from the town of Cachi. Today we took a side trip from Salta. So we left really early in the morning. We were up at seven thirty and we drove through lots of different landscapes actually. Getting to Cachi involves going through jungle, desert, gorges. And there was a fourth one that our guide mentioned that I can't seem to remember at the moment. But either way it was really scenic. We just arrived at the town. We had a nice lunch. So yeah, we're going to go for a little tour I think.
So today we are taking a little bit of a day trip. We've left behind Villa General Belgrano and we're going to visit a little village called La Cumbrecita up in the Sierras. And this is where I went to school as a child. So it is going to be really fun walking around and showing you around.
So good morning from somewhere in the province of Salta. Today we're doing another day trip. So we left the city behind and we're driving towards a place called Cafayate. Right now we're just making a little pit stop. A little breakfast stop. So we just ate some alfajores, had some coffee. Oh, they were so good. So good. Double layer alfajores. Oh, yeah. There was so much dulce de leche on them. So yeah, we're just going to continue with the drive over and we're going to be stopping at a National Park to see some cool stuff.
Well, welcome to Germany. Or should I say the Germany of South America. Today we're visiting a town called Villa General Belgrano which has very German roots. Like walking around here you're almost feeling like you've been transported back to Bavaria. And this is a town that I'm very familiar with because I actually grew up in a local village that was only 30 minutes away from here. So we're going to be taking a little tour of the town. I'm excited to show Sam around. And maybe we'll try a few German delicacies. Some beer, pastries, who knows. We'll see what is on the menu.
Brought to you by &

Argentina , officially the Argentine Republic , is a federal republic in the southern portion of South America. Sharing the bulk of the Southern Cone with its neighbor Chile to the west, the country is also bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, Brazil to the northeast, Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Drake Passage to the south. With a mainland area of 2780400 km2, Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the second largest in Latin America, and the largest Spanish-speaking one. The country is subdivided into twenty-three provinces and one autonomous city , Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the nation as decided by Congress. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions,, but exist under a federal system. Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands , and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. The earliest recorded human presence in the area of modern-day Argentina dates bac...

SUMMARY
=======
Buenos Aires ( or ; Spanish pronunciation: [ˈbwenos ˈaiɾes]) is the capital and largest city of Argentina. The city is located on the western shore of the estuary of the Río de la Plata, on the South American continent's southeastern coast. Buenos Aires can be translated as fair winds or good airs, but the former was the meaning intended by the founders in the 16th century, by the use of the original name Real de Nuestra Señora Santa María del Buen Ayre. The Greater Buenos Aires conurbation, which also includes several Buenos Aires Province districts, constitutes the fourth-most populous metropolitan area in the Americas, with a population of around 14 million.The city of Buenos Aires is neither part of Buenos Aires Province nor the Province's capital; rather, it is an autonomous district. In 1880, after decades of political infighting, Buenos Aires was federalized and removed from Buenos Aires Province. The city limits were enlarged to include the towns of Belgrano and Flores; both are now neighborhoods of the city. The 1994 constitutional amendment granted the city autonomy, hence its formal name: Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires; CABA). Its citizens first elected a chief of government (i.e. mayor) in 1996; previously, the mayor was directly appointed by the President of the Republic.
Buenos Aires is considered an 'alpha city' by the study GaWC5. Buenos Aires' quality of life was ranked 91st in the world, being one of the best in Latin America in 2018. It is the most visited city in South America, and the second-most visited city of Latin America (behind Mexico City).Buenos Aires is a top tourist destination, and is known for its preserved Spanish/European-style architecture and rich cultural life. Buenos Aires held the 1st Pan American Games in 1951 as well as hosting two venues in the 1978 FIFA World Cup. Buenos Aires will host the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics and the 2018 G20 summit.Buenos Aires is a multicultural city, being home to multiple ethnic and religious groups. Several languages are spoken in the city in addition to Spanish, contributing to its culture and the dialect spoken in the city and in some other parts of the country. This is because in the last 150 years the city, and the country in general, has been a major recipient of millions of immigrants from all over the world, making it a melting pot where several ethnic groups live together and being considered as one of the most diverse cities of the Americas.

SUMMARY
=======
Poper Scientific Stand Up is the first Latin American stand-up comedy group that is engaged in the popularization of science. It is an independent continuation of an early 2015 initiative by Diego Golombek, which was made in conjunction with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Tecnopolis and TECtv. The proposal was to invite university students and graduates of different science fields to participate in a Scientific Stand Up comedy course given by renowned humorist Diego Wainstein, for them to create monologues with scientific content. Using the Stand Up format as a resource, they speak about scientific topics to all age groups, whether they have previous knowledge or not, and they also talk about scientists as people and about the perception of science in society. The name Poper is a pun on the initials of Popularización Entre Risas (Popularizing Among Laughter), and a tribute to Epistemologist Karl Popper.

There are several styles of music in Latin America, all of which are born from the mix of musical elements Europeans, Africans and Indians. In the past, several authors suggested positions extreme, as the Latin American music does not receive the African influence, or rather, it's purely African and needs of indigenous and European elements.
Other African musical elements are more prevalent in religious music traditional syncretic and multifaceted, as the Brazilian Candomblé and Cuban Santería. The syncope, musical technique in which is extended the sound of a note compass, is another characteristic of Latin American music. The African emphasizing the rhythm is also an inheritance, and is expressed through the primacy given to percussion instruments. The style call and response is common in Africa, and is also present in the music of Latin America.
Some modern peoples of Latin America are mainly African, as the Garifuna of Central America, his music reflects his isolation from the European influence. However, in general, the African slaves brought to the Americas by changing their musical traditions, both by adapting the musical European and vice versa, and by learning the sounds and musical performance of Europeans.
The music of Chile meets both the spirit of the Andean natives of the Altiplano as the rhythms colonial Spanish, yet the Chilean music does not involve a great musical diversity as other Latin American countries. This makes it possible to highlight four major trends.
In Ecuador, there are three streams of musical styles. Between classical music, it is pasillo, passacalha, Yaravi, sanjuanito, tonada and pump del Chota. The indigenous music is commonly called Andean, while the black music is characterized by the use of the marimba.
In Paraguay, it is remarkable guarânia, style folk music created in Paraguay by musician José Asunción Flores in 1925 in order to express the character of the people of Paraguay. This style has greatly influenced Brazilian music, especially Brazilian musicians from the Midwest, the biggest target was the country music Brazilian. The polka and zarzuela are rhythms also present in the Paraguayan musical culture.
Peruvian music is very rich and diverse. In the Peruvian coast lies rhythms as landau, zamacueca (giving rise to the Chilean cueca and the Argentine Zamba), celebration, panalivio, cumananas and socabones (this is coming into decay), all these are of African origin. There are also tondero; the norteña marinera, characterized by courting dance, fast and free movements, and its highly complex implementation; the Limeña marinera, this marinera is more demure. Creole waltzes, more internationally known as Peruvian waltzes, are also important parts of coastal music. In the mountains are found Huayno, Yaravi, muliza and instruments used in the music Peruvian highlands are the various types zampoñas / sikus / antaras, quenas, Andean horns, violin Andean, the harp and even the saxophone in the city of Arequipa where a mixing marinera, huayno and vals becomes a genre called pampeña. In turn, the music jungle Peru is very much linked to their cheerful dances, which is usually played with a kind of flute and drums. In reality are very types of music involved in this country.
The llanero is a popular musical style of Venezuela originated in the Llanos. Rhythms as the harmonica zuliana and joropo are also typical of the country. Andean music is a term that applies to a vast range of musical genres originated in the Andes South America, roughly in the area dominated by the Incas prior to contact Europe. This area includes the Andean region of Peru, western Bolivia, northern Chile, northern Argentina, mountains of Ecuador, southwest of Colombia.
The term is often used synonymously with the typical musical style of the altiplano and usually played by Aymara, Quechua and other peoples of the region, style characterized by nostalgic and evocative melodies played with reed flutes and charango. But strictly speaking the term Andean music would include not only the music but also the other styles and instrumental ensembles present all throughout the Andean geography.
Folklore is called in Argentina traditional music forms which are in the colonial period mainly from Spanish folk music developed styles. Folklore pampeano from the Pampa, the Folklore Andino from the Pacific Northwest and the Chamamé from the province of Corrientes. Urban music forms such as tango and Cuarteto other hand are not covered by the folkloric notion generally.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain

SUMMARY
=======
Argentina (Spanish: [aɾxenˈtina]), officially named the Argentine Republic (Spanish: República Argentina), is a country located mostly in the southern half of South America. Sharing the bulk of the Southern Cone with Chile to the west, the country is also bordered by Bolivia and Paraguay to the north, Brazil to the northeast, Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean to the east, and the Drake Passage to the south. With a mainland area of 2,780,400 km2 (1,073,500 sq mi), Argentina is the eighth-largest country in the world, the fourth largest in the Americas, and the largest Spanish-speaking nation. The sovereign state is subdivided into twenty-three provinces (Spanish: provincias, singular provincia) and one autonomous city (ciudad autónoma), Buenos Aires, which is the federal capital of the nation (Spanish: Capital Federal) as decided by Congress. The provinces and the capital have their own constitutions, but exist under a federal system. Argentina claims sovereignty over part of Antarctica, the Falkland Islands (Spanish: Islas Malvinas), and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
The earliest recorded human presence in modern-day Argentina dates back to the Paleolithic period. The country has its roots in Spanish colonization of the region during the 16th century. Argentina rose as the successor state of the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata, a Spanish overseas viceroyalty founded in 1776. The declaration and fight for independence (1810–1818) was followed by an extended civil war that lasted until 1861, culminating in the country's reorganization as a federation of provinces with Buenos Aires as its capital city. The country thereafter enjoyed relative peace and stability, with several waves of European immigration radically reshaping its cultural and demographic outlook. The almost-unparalleled increase in prosperity led to Argentina becoming the seventh wealthiest nation in the world by the early 20th century.Following the Great Depression in the 1930s, Argentina descended into political instability and economic decline that pushed it back into underdevelopment, though it remained among the fifteen richest countries for several decades. Following the death of President Juan Perón in 1974, his wife Isabel Martínez de Perón ascended to the presidency. She was overthrown in 1976 by a U.S.-backed coup which installed a right-wing military dictatorship. The military government persecuted and murdered numerous political critics, activists, and leftists in the Dirty War, a period of state terrorism that lasted until the election of Raúl Alfonsín as President in 1983. Several of the junta's leaders were later convicted of their crimes and sentenced to imprisonment.
