CCTV captures moment UK pensioner wrestles bike thief and wins.
This brave 72-year-old woman was captured on CCTV fighting off a bike thief in South Yorkshire, England.
CCTV footage shows a man in a hooded top inside Barnsley Antique Centre last Sunday (October 13) talking to the owners. He is then seen grabbing a bike from the shop and leaving, as an older woman attempts to stop him. Two shoppers are seen exiting the shop quickly after.
Further CCTV footage from outside Barnsley Antiques Centre shows the hooded man as he enters the shop. He is later shown leaving the shop with a bike, as an older woman attempts to wrestle the bike from him. The older woman and two shoppers are then seen arguing with the hooded man before he walks away.
The owner revealed to Newsflare that the man had attempted previously entered the shop, trying to sell them a £1,200 bicycle.
Luckily the shop owner recognized the bike as stolen from a notice posted by a local 13-year-old boy on the Facebook group Stolen Bikes Barnsley Area.
In the video, even after the bike was confiscated by Barnsley Antique Centre, the thief returns, leaving the shopowner’s mother to put up a fight.
Barnsley Antique Centre’s owner told Newsflare that his mother was left with cuts on both her hands.
The incident was reported to the police and the bike was eventually returned to its rightful owner, who later decided not to press charges.
The incident occurred last Sunday (October 13).

England - Scotland Atmosphere and trouble at Wembley
England Scotland world cup qualification atmosphere and trouble at Wembley 11 11 2016
Vicious fighting erupts between England and Scotland fans before grudge match
FIGHTING broke out in Trafalgar Square on Armistice Day as thousands of football fans descended on the capital ahead of the England v Scotland World Cup qualifier.
Paramedics were rushed to the scene with at least one fan being treated for concussion.
Blue flare smoke hung in the air as supporters battered each other with glass.
And cops were forced to pull away a group of England fans who looked ready to fight with a handful of Scotland supporters.
A Scotland fan was searched by police then arrested and taken away in handcuffs.
The square, which had been full for most of the afternoon, started to thin at around 5:30pm with hundreds making their way to Wembley.
Cracked bottle-necks and empty cans crunched underfoot as they left the square.
------------------------------------------------
An England fan was left covered in blood following a brawl in the home supporters' section during the World Cup qualifier against Scotland.
Pictures showed two fans coming to blows in England's 3-0 win with one supporter's face left bloodied.
Stewards were on hand quickly to break up the fight and police arrived soon after to isolate the fan who appeared to come off worst.
The unsavoury incident marred what was otherwise an excellent occasion as both sets of supporters impeccably observed the minute's silence on Remembrance Day.
Red Lion Pub Mexborough
Lovely old building which had always been a pretty importance social place in Mexborough - until the last five years or so. Structure looks sound enough but it's getting pretty rough around the edges now with lots of debris strewn around the place and especially on the stairs towards the dual carriageway. I can see this either being demolished pretty soon or opening up as yet another restaurant. I'd be great to see it open as a pub again but it's pretty unlikely.

Barnsley Leaders vs East Durham Lions
Just the Leaders highlights from the convincing win last Saturday, a manic end to end game, with the boys almost back up to full strength after the injury blight. Unfortunately 5 x 3 pointers knocked the wind out of EDL's sails in the first half from which they never recovered, but that meant the Leaders bench got a much needed work out.

British fans clash with Rome police
British football fans have been caught up in violent clashes with Italian police at Manchester United's Champions League tie with AS Roma.
A column of riot police with shields and batons were seen moving into a section of the crowd where two St George flags were on display.
It was initially unclear how the clash broke out but it followed earlier reports that five people, including three United fans, had been injured on their way to the Olympic stadium in Rome.
BBC Five Live commentator Alan Green, who witnessed the trouble, said: United fans appeared to charge the police and the police went in. It got pretty vicious. I don't know if the Roma fans started this but they are happy now as it is between the police and the United fans.
Earlier Italy's ANSA news agency said that around 300 English fans were involved in a stand-off before the first leg quarter final tie.
On Tuesday United warned the 6,000 fans travelling to the game to take care. A message posted on the club's website told supporters to avoid certain areas of the city and not to use the city's metro because of a real danger of being attacked by the 'Ultra' fans of AS Roma.
The warning infuriated some officials in the city, who said it would only excite tensions.
Around 5,000 United fans had bought tickets for the game but a further 1,000 were expected to travel without tickets.
The warning spoke of dangers on the Ponte Nenni bridge, the Campo de Fiori or trains to the Piazza Flaminio. Wednesday night's earlier incidents were said to have taken place near the Ponte Milvio and Ponte Duca d'Aosta bridges.
The trouble inside the stadium erupted after Roma went 1-0 up, with both sets of fans throwing missiles at each other. Police moved in using their batons on United supporters. TV pictures showed one dazed fan with blood pouring from his face with others trying to help him back to his feet. Meanwhile, announcements were made over the public address system threatening to halt the game. On the pitch Paul Scholes was sent off just 33 minutes into the match.
