A Crash Course in Bristol History #1: Welcome to Bristol
I am so excited to be making a history series about my hometown: Bristol. Call me bias, but Bristol is the greatest city in the world. I am fortunate enough to have done a lot of travelling and to have lived and worked in several countries, but I am always happy to come back to Bristol.
We start with a brief introduction to the city of Bristol and its history.
For the people interested in the music...
The music for the majority of the video was written and performed by myself with my guitar tuned two steps down to C-F-A♯-D♯-G-C. I then played my harmonica (which is also in C) over the top.
The guy playing pots and pans at the end? I don't know his name and I didn't have a chance to ask because he was too busy absolutely killing it on those pots and pans.
I can tell you that he was playing in front of the Bristol Hippodrome by the fountains and that he's there a lot so seek him out if you like his stuff.
Interview: Catherine Johnson on her first musical play (2008)
Filmed by students in the Redgrave Theatre, Bristol in 2008. Catherine Johnson is a British playwright, producing works for stage and television. She is best known for her script for the musical Mamma Mia! and screenplay for the film of the same name, which became the highest grossing UK film of all time.

Jonathan Hartman's Showreel
Fie upon this quiet life - I want work! (Henry IV Part 1, Act II, Sc. 4)
Jonathan Hartman would be delighted to appear in your next film or television project. Ideal for period/costume drama, science fiction, war movies, etc. Very willing to read for leading roles (needless to say...:)), but strong supporting parts happily considered.
Canadian born, resident in London, England, (opportunities to travel welcomed) trained at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where colleagues included Greta Scacchi, Daniel Day-Lewis, Matt (Max Headroom) Frewer, Samantha (Miss Moneypenny) Bond and several other luminaries who wouldn't remember me either.
Admittedly undiscovered, (as was Tutankhamen's tomb for many years), but equally valuable despite being similarly overlooked.
Have appeared in all media, on two continents. Two runs in London's West End. Have performed with/been directed by Charlton Heston, William Shatner, and Vanessa Redgrave. (Tactfully avoided talking politics with the latter.)
Also have extensive experience as a professional Fight Director.
If you like this showreel but are not in a position to hire me, please forward its link to someone who can. Many thanks.

Meaning of the song:
The English translation of this song…
Little cute parrot you are, dear, a repository of riches you are!
Effacing my strives, you have arrived to uplift me in this world!
Tender nectre of fruit you are, dear, a golden portrait that has come to life!
For me to grab you and hug, oh honey, you toddle towards me with your swaying gaits!
When you come running towards me, dear, my heart cosily cools down!
When I see you frolicking around, dear, my spirit rushes to engulf you!
When I plant a kiss on your forehead, dear, my rapturous pride soars up!
When people appreciatively praise you, dear, I get thrilled with joy!
When you kiss on my cheeks, dear, my mind gets blissfully intoxicated!
When I cuddle you, dear, I go delirious with jubilation!
When a tear flows down from your eyes, dear, my heart torrentially bleeds for you!
You are the pupil of my eye, dear; does my spirit not belong to you?
