The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic conference in the United States in which its fifteen member universities compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA's) Division I, with its football teams competing in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), the highest levels for athletic competition in US-based collegiate sports. The ACC sponsors competition in twenty-five sports with many of its member institutions' athletic programs held in high regard nationally. ACC teams and athletes have claimed dozens of national championships in multiple sports throughout the conference's history. Generally, the ACC's top athletes and teams in any particular sport in a given year are considered to be among the top collegiate competitors in the nation. The ACC is considered to be one of the six collegiate power conferences, all of which enjoy extensive media coverage and automatic qualifying for their football champion into the Bowl Championship Series (BCS). With the advent of the College Football Playoff in 2014, the ACC will be one of five conferences with a contractual tie-in to an access bowl, the successors to the BCS.
Founded in 1953 in Greensboro, North Carolina, by seven universities located in the South Atlantic States, the conference added additional members in late 1953, 1979, 1991, 2004, and 2013. The 2004 and 2013 additions extended the conference's footprint into the Northeast and Midwest. The most recent expansion in 2013 saw the additions of the University of Notre Dame, the University of Pittsburgh, and Syracuse University. In 2012, the University of Maryland's Board of Regents voted to withdraw from the ACC to join the Big Ten Conference. On November 28, 2012, the ACC's Council of Presidents voted unanimously to invite the University of Louisville as a full member, replacing Maryland.

Hardwick, Vermont – 21 January 2016
1. Dog barks as logs are unloaded from truck, AUDIO: Motor running
2. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Davis, logger:
I've got the sawdust in my veins, and they don't make a dialysis machine to get it out, so I'm still here. This is my 48th year of work.
3. Crane grabbing logs, AUDIO: Metal clanging on wood
4. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Davis, logger:
Average age for a logger is probably upwards of plus-55 years of age, and very few young people getting into it.
5. Worker measures and marking logs, AUDIO: clanging
6. Ends of logs spray painted with numbers
7. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Davis, logger:
Again, the wood industry is very volatile, going from a good year to a bad year. Our industry has faced a roller coaster ride, and then, early in the '70s when the computers started to come in, they talked about a paperless society. And we are nearing that point now three generations later. And we watch the kids today, they're basically paperless.
8. Logs being unloaded from truck, AUDIO: Motor running, dog barking
9. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Davis, logger:
Many people are in business one day and out of business the next. And then you've got your die-hards, people like myself that just won't give up, no matter how low it goes or how high it goes, we ride that roller coaster, screaming all the way.
10. Various of snowy logs being stacked in a pile, AUDIO: Motor running
11. Detail of edges of logs in pile
12. SOUNDBITE: (English) Ken Davis, logger:
It's very, very hard to find that young entrepreneur that really wants to get his fingers dirty, get the dirt under his fingernails, and then claw all the time to make the business successful.
AP Television
Greensboro, Vermont – 21 January 2016
13. Various of circular saw cutting logs, AUDIO: Saw blade cutting
LEADIN:
Ken Davis has logged for almost half a century, through many ups and downs in a volatile industry.
But as he nears retirement, it's been hard to find someone to take over his business in the US state of Vermont.
As high-tech machinery replaces chain saws – which themselves replaced the axe – a generations-old way of life is disappearing.
STORYLINE:
In the snowy woods of northern New England and other forested parts of the United States, the lumberjack is an endangered species.
As high-tech machinery replaces chain saws, a generations-old way of life is disappearing, one that historically saw fathers pass onto their sons their love and knowledge of the woods and the independence that came from working for oneself.
Ken Davis feels this keenly, as he reaches retirement age after a half-century career with no one to pass the torch to.
I've got the sawdust in my veins, and they don't make a dialysis machine to get it out, so I'm still here. This is my 48th year of work, Davis says from his log yard in the town of Hardwick, in an especially rural region Vermonters call the Northeast Kingdom.
Davis once employed 19 people full-time to cut the wood, haul it and then truck it, sometimes to his log yard, other times directly to the now-disappearing mills across Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and upstate New York that would turn it into lumber or process it into paper. He now employs seven, and has no sons. His daughter and son-in-law tried it for a while, but they didn't catch the bug.
None of Davis' employees show any interest in taking over his business.
Average age for a logger is probably upwards of plus-55 years of age, and very few young people getting into it, he says.

Perpetual Change Yessongs Version by Yes in 4K UHD SACD
From Wikipedia:
Yessongs is the first live album by the English rock band Yes, released as a triple album in May 1973 on Atlantic Records. After completing their Close to the Edge Tour in April 1973, the band selected live recordings between
February and December 1972 on their tours supporting Fragile (1971) and Close to the Edge (1972) for a live album release. They were then edited and remixed with their producer and live sound mixer Eddie Offord. Three tracks
feature original Yes drummer Bill Bruford while the remaining tracks feature his replacement, Alan White.
In September 1971, the Yes line-up of singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Bill Bruford, guitarist Steve Howe, and newcomer keyboardist Rick Wakeman embarked on their Fragile Tour in support of the band's fourth
studio album, Fragile (1971). The tour saw the band play across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe until March 1972. Following the recording of their fifth studio album, Close to the Edge (1972), the band
resumed as a live act on 30 July 1972 to support the album. The tour saw the debut of drummer Alan White in the band after Bruford left when recording for the album had finished. His departure came eleven days prior to the
tour's start, leaving White to learn the band's repertoire in three days. The tour ended in April 1973, by which time Yes had made additional live recordings.
Recording locations:
23 February 1972 at the Academy of Music in New York City, New York – Perpetual Change and Long Distance Runaround/The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus), as suggested by the band's 1973 Australian tour book

Lyrics:
I see the cold mist in the night
And watch the hills roll out of sight.
I watch in ev'ry single way,
Inside out, outside in, ev'ry day.
The sun can warm the coldest dawn
And move the movement on the lawn.
I learn in ev'ry single day,
Inside out, outside in, ev'ry way.
And there you are,
Making it up but you're sure that it is a star,
And boy you'll see
It's an illusion shining down in front of me,
And then you'll say
Even in time we shall control the day,
When what you'll see
Deep inside base controlling you and me.
And one peculiar point I see,
As one of many ones of me.
As truth is gathered, I rearrange,
Inside out, outside in, inside out, outside in,
Perpetual change.
And there you are,
Saying we have the moon, so now the stars,
When all you see
Is near disaster gazing down on you and me,
And there you're standing,
Saying we have the whole world in our hands,
When all you'll see,
Deep inside the world's controlling you and me.
You'll see perpetual change.
You'll see perpetual change.
And there you are,
Making it up but you're sure that it is a star,
And boy you'll see
It's an illusion shining down in front of me,
And then you'll say
Even in time we shall control the day,
When what you'll see
Deep inside base controlling you and me.
As mist and sun are both the same,
We look on as pawns of their game.
They move to testify the day,
Inside out, outside in, inside out, outside in,
All of the way.
Ah, Ah.
