Rhinestone Rhino Launch in Southside, Birmingham
An eye-catching new piece of public art has been unveiled at the heart of Southside in Birmingham, England. This short video documents the installation and public launch of the sculpture.
The sculpture, a life-size rhinoceros dubbed the 'Rhinestone Rhino', has been installed at the junction of Hurst Street and Bromsgrove Street in the centre of the Gay Village. Unveiled on June 1st by key members of Southside Business Improvement District and Birmingham LGBT, the project hopes to encourage additional footfall and trade in the area.
The venture is the result of a collaboration between Birmingham City Council, Birmingham LGBT, GB Training Ltd and Southside Business Improvement District.

Testing my JVC GZ -HM200 camcorder at it's full AVCHD quality, will easily consume 4GB in 20 minutes. But the quality justifies why.
Colour accuracy is astonishingly great for such a mid end camcorder.
A hot spud attracts spectators in Birmingham city centre
A hot spud, soft and fluffy inside and with a crispy exterior arrived in Birmingham city centre yesterday attracting plenty of spectators.
The piping hot potato fitted to a specially modified taxi circled the streets, pumping out the scent of a ready baked jacket to butter up passers-by. This was the latest publicity stunt from McCain's to launch their ready baked jackets.
The taxi fitted with a microwave provided shoppers with a taste of their new brand in just 5 minutes.
And this is no couch potato it travels the breadth of the country throughout November.
So whether its cheese, beans, tuna mayo, or simply buttered, that gets your vote, one thing is for sure, this little hot spud won't be dropped like a sack of potatoes.
