Lake District is a very popular holiday destination, famous for, forests, mountains, quaint villages and lakes designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2017. Four of the top activities are exploring the towns, taking boat rides, do a little nature walking, and take a driving tour of the region to see the other nearby lakes and quaint villages.
In Scotland, Edinburgh’s Old Town has retained many of its original buildings and the 18th century New Town is also well-preserved, both still functioning as a great examples of healthy urban neighborhoods.
Ireland is a small country blessed with the rich variety of wonderful sites, most famous for its green rolling hills, history, friendly people, and Guinness. Our three main destinations will be Dingle, Galway and of course Dublin, capital of the country, a great center of culture, learning and nightlife. We'll bring you inside prehistoric stone structures in Dingle. We'll take a trip out to the Aran Islands by ferry, a remote place with a great many archaeological sites, traditional culture and spectacular sea cliffs. We will be visiting small villages along the way: Clifden, Killarney then Kinsale, a southern town with colorful buildings and an ancient stone fort. Dublin is a wonderful city, but don't make the mistake when you're visiting Ireland of only going to Dublin – there's so much more to see.

A Walk Through Chester, England
Chester is a walled city in Cheshire, England. Lying on the River Dee, close to the border with Wales, it is the largest and most populous settlement of the unitary authority area of Cheshire West and Chester, which had a population of 328,100 according to the 2001 Census,[increasing to 329,608 at the 2011 Census. Chester was granted city status in 1541.
Chester was founded as a castrum or Roman fort with the name Deva Victrix, during the reign of the Emperor Vespasian in AD79. One of the three main army camps in the Roman province of Britannia, Deva later became a major civilian settlement. In 689, King Æthelred of Mercia founded the Minster Church of West Mercia, which later became Chester's first cathedral, and the Saxons extended and strengthened the walls, much of which remain, to protect the city against the Danes. Chester was one of the last cities in England to fall to the Normans. William the Conqueror ordered the construction of a castle, to dominate the town and the nearby Welsh border.
Chester is one of the best preserved walled cities in Britain. It has a number of medieval buildings, but some of the black-and-white buildings within the city centre are Victorian restorations. Apart from a 100-metre (330 ft) section, the listed Grade I walls are almost complete. The Industrial Revolution brought railways, canals, and new roads to the city, which saw substantial expansion and development – Chester Town Hall and the Grosvenor Museum are examples of Victorian architecture from this period.

Bus transport in the city is provided by Stagecoach Group and Arriva Buses Wales, the council owned and operated ChesterBus (formerly Chester City Transport). Chester formerly had two railway stations. Chester General railway station remains in use but Chester Northgate closed in 1969 as a result of the Beeching Axe. The Chester Canal had locks down to the River Dee. Canal boats could enter the river at high tide to load goods directly onto seagoing vessels.

WALES ROAD TRIP: Everything to SEE and DO in CONWY and CHESTER
Welcome to Wales everybody!! Since we are essentially homeless, we decided we would try and see all over Wales over the long weekend! We decided to start in Chester, not even wales, before heading to Conwy.
Day one of the road trip starts in the old Roman town of Chester, before heading to conwy and conwy bay. Finishing the day a the longest town name in the world Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
The absolute highlight was the castle ruins in conwy, I've never seen such a well maintained castle that you can walk around in and the views were amazing!
Afterwards we made our way to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch the longest town in the world, which was a fun little detour that you definitely need to do. Pro tip, you only see the name of the town in its entirety at the train station!
The next video is our adventurous hike on Snowdonia, which really explains why its called SNOW-donia. Before heading to a small beach village called Tenby.

England's Best Cities: Travel Itinerary By Train
*What do you think are England's best cities?*
There is so much to experience when you #visitEngland. And while #London is a must-visit, travelers should also explore nearby historic cities for a fuller picture of the country's heritage and culture.
Luckily, in this video I'm sharing an amazing 5-day #EnglandTravel itinerary, which can be done by train, taking you from London to Carlisle and back -- with unforgettable stops along the way.
***Note: A big thanks to England Originals for sponsoring my trip! Make sure to download their app before visiting England: ***
For the England trip, here is what I suggest:
Fly into London, then hop on the train to Chester, touted as one of England's most beautiful cities.
After wandering and enjoying the Victorian architecture, visit the magnificent Chester Cathedral to explore spirituality, art, culture, and even made-from-scratch meals in the stunning Cathedral Refectory Cafe. Don't miss the inspiring creation window, featuring the hand of God moving through the six days of creation.
Pro tip: Make sure to also take a Roman Tours excursion. Your legionnaire-dressed guide will share stories from when the Romans founded Chester in the 1st century AD. Walk among ruins, visiting the Chester amphitheater, where gladiators fought to the death. Stroll along the walls that once guarded the city, and spend time in ancient Roman bath houses. You do not want to know what that was used for.
Craving nature? Take a walk through the groves along the River Dee. Stroll along colorful gardens and old church ruins in Grosvenor Park. And hike the idyllic trails of the Chester Meadows.
From Chester, it's less than 90 minutes to Lancaster, a small city with a rich history.
Start your day with a siphon-brewed single-origin coffee at The Hall, a cafe that's part of the local Atkinson's Coffee empire.
Once caffeinated, walk up to the famous Lancaster Castle, which holds almost 1,000 years of history relating to persecution, incarceration, justice, and punishment.
Another impressive building with a story is the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park. Commissioned by Lord Ashton in remembrance of his second wife, Jessie, after she passed away. From there, take in the views out across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District.
Beyond the memorial, the park features beautiful trails, gardens, and ponds.
Love festivals and events? Lancaster has many, so check their calendar.
When you're ready for your next destination, the train can take you directly to Carlisle, a quaint and colorful city full of heritage to discover.
Carlisle is known as the most besieged city in the United Kingdom. So you'll definitely wanna visit Carlisle Castle. Built on the site of an ancient Roman fort, there is much to do and see. Walk the castle walls for a 360-degree view, learn about the siege of Carlisle and the Jacobite rising, and view the 15th-century doodles, likely carved into the walls by bored prison guards.
The 900-year-old Carlisle Cathedral is another highlight. Take in the 19th-century organ with its 4,000 plus pipes, the stunning east window with its 14th-century glass, and the calming starlight ceiling.
At the nearby Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery, travel Carlisle and its Cumbria County from neolithic times to present, learning about art, archeology, wildlife, past civilizations, and more.
Nature is also an important facet of Carlisle, which offers easy day trips to the Lake District, and is home to the lush Bitts Park, with its scenic trails, colorful gardens, and sunken forests.
It's recommended to opt for first-class for the three-and-a-half-hour ride to London for wine and dinner, paired with countryside views.
London is a truly international city, offering experiences for everyone. And even surprises. Here's one. In the basement of this office building are these ruins from a former Roman house and baths.
Another surprise is The Line, a free to enjoy modern and contemporary art walk following the waterways and Greenwich Meridian Line. Wander the free to enjoy Museum of London, take in the English baroque beauty of St. Paul's Cathedral, and immerse yourself in architectural splendor.
Unforgettable experiences abound when visiting England.

CHESTER England | Amazing Gin &Tonic, Eastgate Clock & City Walls
We decided it would be much more cost effective to take the bus from York to Chester for £27.60 (two people) , as opposed to take the train which was well over three times the price. We booked our tickets online with national express (bus) and received an email confirmation (that wasn't even required to board the bus, they had a list with our booking on it).
The bus left the stop just opposite the York train station (# RJ) at 11:45 and took us to Leeds, about 45 minutes away. From here we jumped on a bus to Chester that would arrive a little after 16:00.

Chester, England (a 35 minute train journey from Liverpool)
Chester is only 35 minutes by train from Liverpool. The regular train service makes Chester an ideal place to spend the day. You can see the tudor style buildings on the high street, walk around the city walls, visit the canal locks and take a stroll along the river
Liverpool and Chester may be close but the accents are so diverse. A strong but unique scouse accent in Liverpool gives way to fine English accent in Chester.
Dewa Roman Experience, Chester - a family day out
Discovering Roman history in Chester with kids, a visit to Dewa Roman Experience (also known as Deva) - from a virtual galley ride to life in Roman Britain, then discovering the genuine excavations on the same site. It's a great family day out, with lots of hands-on activities, from dressing up to excavating mosaics and building an arch bridge, as well as artefacts found from the ancient fort.

A tour of Chez Jules, Chester
Chez Jules is one of the longest standing restaurants in Chester - its quaint and rustic interior and exquisite cuisine have been delighting diners for over 14 years. In this video we meet owner Jason Ellison, and manager Andy Slack who guide us through what sets this beautiful French restaurant above the rest. With no freezers and no fryers, if it isn't fresh it won't be used by the talented chefs at Chez Jules, and it also means that every time you visit you can try something new and delicious. If you're looking for great seasonal food and warm hospitality, this is the place.
