During the winter months, Britain is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 10 hours behind Sydney. Western standard time is five hours behind.
From late March until late October, the clocks go forward one hour to British Summer Time (BST).

Stratford Listening Project - Childhood in Stratford Upon Avon
The Stratford Listening Project is a multi-disciplinary oral/ aural reminiscence project funded by the Stratford Town Trust The project engages with the people of Stratford upon Avon to create a reminiscence soundscape of society, business and culture in the town between 1940 and the present day.
The recordings can be heard at the Stratford Listening Project Exhibition at which the recordings will be played alongside their visual representations which have been created by school pupils, community art groups and professional. The exhibition will be held in Town Square between 24th May and 1st June, 2014 as part of the Stratford upon Avon Arts Festival
The recordings have also provided the inspiration for a collections of songs written by Kel Elliott which will be performed at Shakespeare No.1 - The Chapel on Tuesday 27th May Events will be held in the Town Square throughout the week of the arts festival with the culmination taking place on 30th May with the Escape Community Arts - Old Bears Reminiscence Picnic.
