Visit Riverfront Park, Spokane, Washington, United States
Riverfront Park is a public park in downtown Spokane, Washington. The 100 acre park is located along the Spokane River containing the upper Spokane Falls and just upstream from the lower falls. It was created for Expo '74, a World's Fair event. The defining feature of the park is the Pavilion, which is marked by a 145-foot-tall (44 m) metal frame and wire shell that formed the US Pavilion tent during Expo '74. The park is well known for the Riverfront Park Carousel, as well as an IMAX theatre, clock tower, skyride over the falls, a small amusement park for kids, a skating rink during the winter months (home to the Gonzaga Bulldogs special hockey team), and the Spokane River Centennial Trail which passes through it. Downtown Spokane Buildings Old Historic Lilac City Worlds Fair Town #1
Downtown Spokane Buildings Old Historic Lilac City Worlds Fair Town Spokane is officially nicknamed the Lilac City There are many older Romanesque Revival-style buildings in the downtown Spokane Washington. I had to drive around town since it has been a few years since I was here.
Here is what Wikipedia says
is a city in the state of Washington, in the northwestern United States. It is the seat of Spokane County. It is located on the Spokane River west of the Rocky Mountain foothills in eastern Washington, 92 miles (148 km) south of the Canadian border, approximately 20 miles (32 km) from the Washington–Idaho border, and 232 miles (373 km) east of Seattle along Interstate 90. The city and wider Inland Northwest region is served by Spokane International Airport, 5 miles (8.0 km) west of downtown Spokane. According to the 2010 Census, Spokane had a population of 208,916, making it the second largest city in Washington and the 102nd largest city in the United States.
The first humans to live in the area, the Spokane people (their name meaning children of the sun in Salishan), arrived between 13,000 and 8,000 years ago, living off plentiful game. Known as the birthplace of Father's Day, Spokane is officially nicknamed the Lilac City. David Thompson explored the area with the westward expansion and establishment of the North West Company's Spokane House in 1810. This trading post was the first long-term European settlement in Washington. Completion of the Northern Pacific Railway in 1881 brought settlers to the Spokane area, and that same year it was officially incorporated as a city with the name Spokan Falls. In the late 19th century, gold and silver were discovered in the Inland Northwest. The local economy depended on mining, timber, and agriculture until the 1980s. Spokane hosted the first environmentally themed World's Fair at Expo '74.
Many of the older Romanesque Revival-style buildings in the downtown area were designed by architect Kirtland Kelsey Cutter after the Great Fire of 1889. The city also features Riverfront and Manito parks, the Smithsonian-affiliated Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, the Davenport Hotel, and the Fox and Bing Crosby theaters. The Cathedral of Our Lady of Lourdes serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Spokane, and the city is also the center of the Mormon Spokane Washington Temple District. Gonzaga University was established in 1887 by the Society of Jesus, and the private Presbyterian Whitworth University moved to north Spokane in 1914 from Tacoma, WA.[7] In sports, the Gonzaga Bulldogs collegiate basketball team competes at the Division I level. Professional and semi-professional sports teams include the Spokane Indians in Minor League Baseball, Spokane Shock in arena football, and Spokane Chiefs in junior ice hockey. As of 2010, Spokane's only major daily newspaper, The Spokesman-Review, had a daily circulation of over 75,000.

Franklin Falls Waterfall Hike, Snoqualmie Pass, Washington
Franklin Falls is on Denny Creek between North Bend and Snoqualmie Pass on I-90 in Washington State. It is in the median area between the east and west bound lanes of the freeway in a section where the lanes are separated by a wide expanse of forest land.
We hiked from the trail head to Franklin Falls, about a mile, over a well groomed trail that featured very little difficulty.
We were there in mid-May so the water was flowing pretty heavily. As I understand, in the hot summer months, though the creek isn't as full, it's still a good time to visit these falls. Since you can hike right to the base of the falls, the cool spray from the waterfall is very refreshing on a hot day.
In this video, I share some photos that we took during our hike at Franklin Falls.
Don't forget to subscribe to our channel. It will feature many more videos of our adventures around the Pacific Northwest. For 2014, our focus is on finding as many waterfalls as we can get to.
Spokane before the coffee's perked
Spokane Washington, in the United states of America, is a wonderful place to visit & live. It's a great place for fun and food as well as commerce & trade. There is a theme park close by, Silverwood as well as great skiing and fishing! The climate is wonderful here, little rain, warmer & longer dry season
in the summertime. Photography and videography is fun for me here with the drier climate and the abundance of sunny days here. The COFFEE is good here too..

In the Summer of 2015, I visited the city of Spokane, Washington. After spending the afternoon visiting the Riverfront area to see the falls, I headed to the Steam Plant for a very good dinner and a sampling of their finest beers.
61st USA National Square & RD 2012 Spokane WA
Some of the video I took at the National in Spokane Washington during the last weekend in June, 2012. We shared 2 days with the Hoopfest 7,000 basketball teams (28,000 players) near the Convention Center, site of Expo 1974. Everything was well organized and all were talented & responsible. The only possible problem were some signs on fences which read: No Dribbling On The Flowers. (I had to think about that).
