Robert Mondavi Winery - Oakville, California
Robert Mondavi Winery was founded in 1966 by Robert Mondavi (June 18, 1913 -- May 16, 2008) and his sons Michael and Tim Mondavi in the Napa Valley. It was the first major winery built in Napa Valley in the post-Prohibition era. He went on to become THE most influential innovator in California winemaking history. On December 22, 2004, Constellation Brands acquired the Mondavi winery and yet they continue to further Robert Mondavi's legacy. Paso Robles 2010 Wine Festival tour
The 28th annual Paso Robles wine festival is not only celebrated park in Paso Robles but a lot of the wineries have events also for the visitors to also attend. Participating wineries in the area have a variety of fun and other things to see and do. We visited the Stacked Stone Cellars and found out more of the events. The estate vineyard produces low yields of highly concentrated, jammy, and intense Zinfandel fruit. The vines are sustainably dry farmed and head pruned on the west side Paso Robles, where the soils are rich in minerals and nutrients. The soil is calcareous and siliceous composed of shale, mudstone, siltstone and limestone providing the optimum terroir for Zinfandel. The estate fruit is gently harvested to produce the flagship and award wining wine the Zin Stone

A Perfect Score: The Art, Soul and Business of a 21st-Century Winery
Craig and Kathryn Hall recount their twenty-year climb from amateur winemakers to recipients of an elusive perfect score from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. The Halls launched themselves head first into Napa Valley 20 years ago with the purchase of their first vineyard and never looked back. Since then, their critically acclaimed HALL Wines and WALT Wines have become fixtures of the California wine industry, winning numerous accolades including now, two coveted 100-point perfect scores.
A PERFECT SCORE weaves a vibrant tale of the HALL brand's rise to success, Napa Valley's tug-of-war between localism and tourism, and the evolving nature of the wine industry as a whole. Readers who love a good glass of wine will find much to savor in the Halls' expert account of the art, soul, and business of a modern winery.

Paso Robles for wine and RV traveler
We found out a project in almost competed. This is the Ravine Water park. It is where the 46 and the 101 meet at the north end of Paso Robles. For the RV traveler this is a key stop. It is the half way point between LA and the Bay area. If you park your RV at the Wine Country RV park, you can walk to all kinds of places near there. Including Ravine Water Park, Firestone Vineyards and several food places and the Paso Robles Fair grounds and event center. This is not only a place to stop but to have some great fun too. The exit on 46 and 24th street or G14 they have lots of places to eat and east bound on the 46 goes by some other great wineries then goes to the 5 or Golden State freeway. Everything is a short stop off the freeway.

SIP Certified - Andy Niner of Niner Wine Estates
Sustainability is integral to the Paso Robles Niner Wine Estates business model, and they have incorporated it into their approach to farming, building design, and operations since their inception.
Founded in 2001 by Richard and Pam, their son Andy now leads the family owned winery.
Niner Wine Estates believes that they are defined by the group of passionate, talented and humble people who have worked at the winery, both past and present. They currently farm a total of 212 acres across three different vineyards, and make all wine in the LEED Certified Winery at Heart Hill Vineyard.
SIP Certified is a rigorous program that helps growers and wine processors verify their sustainability with independent inspections. The program rules are called the Standards (attached). Certain questions are Requirements and must be in place for certification. Additionally, participants need at least 50% of the Management Enhancement question points. The program runs from December 1 through November 30 the following year.
