Fylingdales Parish Council, Bank Top Toilet Refurbishment. Robin Hoods Bay. Whitby.
We are looking for funding to help refurb the bank top toilets at Robin Hoods Bay. We have recently taken these over from Scarborough Borough Council, they are a valuable amenity for the village to both locals and tourists alike. Within this refurbishment disable facilities are to be included and a cash machine for the benefit of all. These toilets are in desperate need of refurbishment as they have been neglected for many years.
Robin Hoods Bay: Xmas Victorian Weekend
A fun look at the events that happen at the Victorian Weekend that raises funds for the RNLI. Morris dancers in The Dock; Street theatre; the popular Duck Race; projections of old glass plate photographs; live theatre in the Museum and it all concludes with a candlelit procession and carols in The Dock - the area where the cobles used to kept for launching into the sea. The film starts off with a Christmas service at Old St Stephen's Church, above the village, where children from Fylingdales School have a handbell orchestra.
My visit to Whitby
A lovely small town. From start: Parking was difficult, though it was sorted!
Accommodation was brilliant (Guest House). Attractions: I loved the small museum, beaches (especially Robin Hood bay). The smell of sea and fish is so beautiful, food (seafood and fish a chips are one of the best) so eating out is a must do thing. You won't forget the cafes & coffee shops, pubs and bars but as for shopping, well, average-though there are interesting things of course. I quite liked the small shops and and number of them, loads!
By the way, if you start going on about Dracula, it's all conspiracy theory ;-)

Sea View toilets revisit, Poole, Dorset UK SS 'Franke'
These toilets appear to have gone down hill rapidily when I filmed them last year. This is the middle unit and it has a large SS pan by Franke and after filming I found out that the wash basins do not even work.
Rating: 0/10
Council: Poole Borough Council

North Bay public toilets in Scarborough
St Nicolas Gardens Toilets, Scarborough SS/Valve Toilets
The first toilets in Scarborough had taken me by suprise, these toilets are very similer to the ones you get in America yet I have never once seen these in the UK. Im not sure but I think these are called 'Valve Toilets'? There is no cistern and the flush mechinism is a button. The water must come from elsewhere. This was a single toilet for the off season and there are a few of these in the Scarborough borough (Which includes Whitby). The pan is a horrible stainless steel with seatpads but a good flush.
