JAX Inshore Fishing with Capt Vic Tison 20190222
I received an invite to come to Jacksonville and fish with Christian on a guided trip he received from his lovely wife for his birthday. Christian had booked a charter with Capt. Vic Tison, a sheepshead expert, for a fish and learn trip. Not wanting to pass up an opportunity, I gladly accepted and made the drive north.
We met Capt. Vic at the dock at 7am and headed out to the jetties for some sheepshead action. We fished those rocks all morning and well into the afternoon. While we had several bites, Brian was the only one who was able to get one in the cooler. With time left and the bite totally off, we changed tactics and headed inside to the salt marshes.
We spent the rest of the day fishing for reds. The tides weren't the best when we got inside, but Capt Vic pulled thru. We managed to find some fish and had some fun action to wrap up the day.
I want to send a big Thank You to Christian for the invite and for a very enjoyable day of fishing and family weekend.
Be sure to check out our second day of fishing on this weekend:
And I want to thank each of you for watching and as always, wishing everyone bent rods and tight lines.
Monsignor E Pace HS defeated Gulliver 9-3
Senior Raphael Vazquez on the mound. With Alex Perez on second and Aaron Soto on first Pace three-hole hitter David Palenzuela ripped a double down the right-field line, scoring Perez. Two batters later, Gomez was intentionally walked to load the bases for Manny Pazos. Pazos proceeded to hit a grand slam over the left-field fence and Pace's team and fans went wild. Gulliver then pulled its starter and the next batter, catcher Anthony De La Cruz, hit another home run. At the end of three, it was Spartans 6, Raiders 1. What I do is I hear a song in my head, Pazos said, I try to block out everything, and I was at a good part of the song when I hit it.In the bottom of the fourth David Palenzuela hit his second double of the game, this time off the deep center-field fence. Then Brandon Gomez came up again with two men on, but this time Gulliver didn't walk him to load the bases. But perhaps they should have because Gomez hit a three-run home run, making the score 9-2.
In the top of the sixth, the senior catcher for Gulliver, Chinea, hit a rocket over the left-field fence that might still be traveling. But that is all the Raiders could muster.
Vazquez was pulled in the seventh for senior Alex Mateo who swiftly closed the door on Gulliver's season. We face a great schedule every year. We go out and play the very best so we are ready for this time of the season, Coach Duffin said. But the main thing is that we executed as a team, and my hat goes off to our players.

If you're looking for some adventure and whether you've got sea fishing experience or not it doesn't matter as the charter boat guides know where to go fishing in Jacksonville
Whilst Jacksonville deep sea fishing is almost certainly the most extensively practised method for catching most fish species there has been a surge in interest more than current years in salt water fly fishing and fishing with artificial lures - the latter of which has been largely influenced by angling techniques in both the USA and Japan.
Bait used in deep sea fishing excursions Jacksonville Fl generally includes lug worm and rag worm, fish baits such as mackerel and sand eels, shellfish such as razor fish and squid and cuttlefish.
The tackle and equipment necessary to undertake deep sea fishing charters nr Jacksonville Fl can be really specific.
Boat rods and reels should, for example, be capable to cope with very big fish in deep water.
Generally, deep sea fishing equipment tends to be tougher, more resilient to corrosion and a lot more effective than other types of fishing tackle.
However, there are also circumstances exactly where coarse and game fishing tackle may possibly be employed, such as when fishing charters Jacksonville Fl for mullet, bass or flatfish like dabs and flounder.
Deep Sea Fishing Jacksonville Fl Charters - Call Now (904) 548-3360 - Jacksonville Fishing Charters Trips & Excursions Fl
A good captain of charter fishing Jacksonville Fl can advise you on the gear necessary for the type of fishing you want to do,
many charter fishing boats will also provide all the rods, bait and tackle for your ease of use.
As with any other form of Jacksonville charter fishing understanding the marine environment can have a dramatic effect on your achievement - arguably even a lot more so with sea angling. Modern electronic aid like fish finders are often employed to help locate the best catches best good captains will also know the best reefs and wrecks to fish and ensure the best catch for the native Wahoo, Peto, Tuna, Drum, Flounder, Reds and Drum.
Water craft and establishing an understanding of the all-natural environment and its interactions, is one of the great pleasures of sea fishing.
There is a expanding interest amongst sea anglers in marine conservation and the sustainable management of our sea fish stocks.
The outcomes of the Angling Trust's National Angling Survey in 2012 showed that 69 per cent of anglers who completed the survey said poor fish stocks is sea angling's biggest problem and over 73 per cent mentioned that more than fishing by the
commercial fishing sector was the biggest threat to recreational charter boat fishing.

SURF FISHING NEW SMYRNA BEACH, My wife catching Sand Fleas saved the day!
We were Surf Fishing at New Smyrna Beach and my Wife catching sand fleas saved what was a very
tough day.Surf Fishing New Smyrna Beach can be tough during the winter months with seaweed and
rough surf. My wife catching sand fleas later in the day did allow her to catch 10 fish even though 9 of
them were catfish. She is very good at catching the sand fleas with her bare hands. Catching sand fleas at New Smyrna Beach can be very tough in the hard sand that you get during the Florida winter
surf fishing trips. Thanks for Watching!!
Fishing the Ms Louise Tug Reef - Destin, FL
Fishing the Ms Louise Tug Reef - Destin, FL
I paddled over from the east side Henderson Beach State Park in my Jackson Big Tuna. We set out early AM and the weather was calm. The water here is very clear. We saw dolphins, a turtle and tons of fish. We started trolling the perimeter of the Ms Louise trolling live cigar minnows hoping to pickup a king or mahi. Our sabiki caught bait quickly got destroyed and we had no more bait. Sabiki'd the reef, nothing. There was a large school of bait fish on the reef and they were more worried about the constant bombardment by the Amberjacks, then they were our sabiki rigs. And the amberjacks were ignoring everything we threw at them and focused on the bait. We'd get a chaser here and there but they'd always turn away. This reef was covered in fish. A little time goes by and the Dive Company Emerald Coast Scuba joined us on the reef. We took one side of the tug and the divers took the other side near the anchor line. Captain Tom Schmitz saw we were having trouble hooking up with the thousands of feeding amberjacks circling below... Whipped out a rod and started hooking up on every cast. He ended up sharing a lure with us and we finally started catching fish. Captain Tom Rocks! Thank you Emerald Coast Scuba!

2015
I've thought about taking this video down. Wear a PFD.
To many kayak anglers have been lost... I will never go out in a kayak without a PFD again. 2015. We've all done it at some point. My jacket was actually just behind my seat and reachable. Too many Folks have the boaters mentality that as long as there's a reachable PFD on board your good. You're not. Exhaustion, fatigue, dehydration, hypothermia, a bad breakfast, flu, heart attack or stroke could hit at any time. And that's just your immediate health risks, which do not include factors completely outside of your control, storms, boats or hovercrafts (don't laugh it recently happened). You have to be conscious to swim and you have to be smart while on the water. Always wear a jacket.
You'll never see me in a kayak without one again.

Old aircraft carrier sunk to form barrier reef
1. Explosions go off on aircraft carrier
2. Wide of ship and and other boats watching the sinking
3. Ship sinking into the gulf
STROYLINE:
The USS Oriskany sank to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday after the Navy set off explosions on the retired aircraft carrier to make the world's largest created reef.
The rusting ship completed its 212-foot (64-meter) plunge about 45 minutes after the detonations, it was first predicted to take up to five hours.
Clouds of brown and gray smoke rose in the sky after more than 500 pounds (226.8 kilograms) of plastic explosives went off and could be heard up to a 1.6 kilometres away (one mile).
Hundreds of Korean and Vietnam War veterans watched their 888-foot (270 meters) former ship from charter boats 38 kilometres (23 miles) off the coast of Pensacola Beach, Florida.
The Oriskany, nearly three American football fields in length, is the first ship set for reefing under the Navy's pilot program to dispose of old warships.
After nearly two years of delays due to hurricanes and environmental permitting problems, local leaders hope the vessel will provide a long-awaited economic infusion from sport divers and fishermen.
The sinking cost 20 (m) million US dollars.
A 2004 Florida State University study estimated Escambia County, Florida, would see 92 (m) million US dollars a year in economic benefits from an artificial reef.
Marine wildlife experts planned to monitor waters near the sink site.
A Navy official said sport divers won't be allowed on the Oriskany site for at least 48 hours after the sinking, and that Navy divers will first examine the ship and determine its final position.
The Oriskany was commissioned in 1950, served through the Korean and Vietnam wars and was decommissioned in 1976.
The ship was among those used by former President John F. Kennedy as a show of force in 1962 during the Cuban missile crisis.
Twelve Oriskany pilots became North Vietnamese prisoners of war, including John McCain, now a Republican senator from Arizona.

Saltwater Fishing At Russell Fields Pier - Panama City Beach
Saltwater Fishing At Russell Fields Pier - Panama City Beach. During my Spring Break trip, I checked out the Russell Fields public pier in Panama City Beach. For $7.00 you can fish, and for $3.00 you can go out as a spectator.
Strong gusty winds made fishing a bit of a challenge. Many anglers packed up and left, and couple offered me extra shrimp bait they had purchased. I had a few strikes, but missed a few of the fish. I finally decided to downsize my hook, and tie on a drop shot. This proved effective at catching the smaller bait fish at the bottom. I threw one out on a bigger hook, got a hit but ended up losing that fish. It's a beautiful pier, and I hope to fish it again on a better day.
