WOW! A BEACH IN BUDAPEST? | The Fluffies Channel
The Fluffies checked out Római Part (Roman Embankment), a riverside beach in the capital of Hungary, Budapest. It's a beach-like setting by the Danube where you can relax or enjoy a fun day enjoying a beer or just spending time with your family.
If you’re looking for something special, check Fellini: the place looks like a set from a Wes Anderson movie, where you can laze around in pastel deck chairs, entertained by occasional live music. It's a ruin bar at the Danube.
Going to Rómaifurdo, you will see many cyclists, rowers, runners, and dog walkers. It's a perfect place for an unexpected area of Budapest.
The Fluffies had to take two buses to get there, but all in all, it was very easy. You can even get there by boat, part of Budapest's public transport network.

Tác - Gorsium-Herculia - Roman Town between Budapest and Lake Balaton, near Székesfehérvár - 4K
Gorsium-Herculia Magyarország egyik legjelentősebb római kori romterülete. A mai Tác település közigazgatási területén található, Székesfehérvártól kb. 10 kilométerre délre. A katonai táborból várossá fejlődő Gorsium a késő romai korra Pannonia egyik legnagyobb és egyik leggazdagabb településévé vált, lakói római polgárjoggal rendelkeztek.
A régészeti parkban emellett minden év tavaszán megrendezik a Floralia nevű tavaszünnepet Septimius Severus császár 202. évi látogatásának emlékére.

10 Best Places to Visit in Hungary.
While Hungary is famous for its goulash and paprika (which, by the way, originated in the New World), it’s known for much more than that, including world-class fine wines and its pear liqueur, an orange-colored sweet dessert treat, sometimes known as palinka.
Visitors to Hungary quickly learn it is a land of many cultures, having been ruled over by the Romans, Ottomans, Mongols, Magyars, Czechs and the Soviets. Remains of Roman fortifications can be found as can utterly spectacular buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. Hungary also is the land of the beautiful blue Danube River; no trip here would be complete without a boat ride on it. An overview of the best places to visit in Hungary:

9. Hortobagy National Park
8. Debrecen
7. Heviz
6. Aggtelek National Park
5. Pecs
4. Sopron

Széchenyi Turkish Thermal Bath - Budapest Hungary
I've heard of dinner and a movie, but dinner and a bath? That is what I did my last full day of my summer journey. Come along for a swim at the famous Széchenyi thermal bath in Budapest Hungary, followed by a dinner at the historic Budapest restaurant Karpatia!
Visiting Római-part in Budapest (picnic, sunbathing, eating hekk fish and many more)
I made this visit in the summer 2016.
˝The Római Part (Roman Riverbank in English) is a legendary spot. It's a site of pilgrimage for those, who'd spend all their days on the riverbank, eating fried fish or lángos with a good cold pint of beer in the sunshine. It would be difficult to say how many shops and stands line the entire row of eateries, lángos buffets and hamburger joints that compete for the bellies of visitors here. No-one leaves Római hungry – but you might also leave with a few mosquito bites. The Római is also popular with cyclists and runners, and a lot of locals choose to walk their dogs here as well. You shouldn't miss it, especially in good weather. You can even get here by boat.¨ (source:

I usually come to Római-part in the summer by the small boat. Watch my video river cruising on the way to this beautiful relaxing place:

Budapest, Hungary - Hyperlapse from Vaci Street to Parliament Building - Walking Timelapse
Budapest, Hungary Hyperlapse
Budapest is the capital and the most populous city of Hungary, and the tenth-largest city in the European Union by population within city limits. The city had an estimated population of 1,752,704 in 2016 distributed over a land area of about 525 square kilometres (203 square miles). Budapest is both a city and county, and forms the centre of the Budapest metropolitan area, which has an area of 7,626 square kilometres (2,944 square miles) and a population of 3,303,786, comprising 33 percent of the population of Hungary.
The history of Budapest began when an early Celtic settlement transformed into a Roman town of Aquincum, the capital of Lower Pannonia. The Hungarians arrived in the territory in the late 9th century. The area was pillaged by the Mongols in 1241. Buda, the settlements on the west bank of the river, became one of the centres of Renaissance humanist culture by the 15th century. The Battle of Mohács in 1526 was followed by nearly 150 years of Ottoman rule. After the reconquest of Buda in 1686, the region entered a new age of prosperity. Pest-Buda became a global city with the unification of Buda, Óbuda, and Pest on November 17, 1873, with the name 'Budapest' given to the new capital. Budapest also became the co-capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a great power that dissolved in 1918, following World War I. The city was the focal point of the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, the Battle of Budapest in 1945, and the Hungarian Revolution of 1956.
Budapest is an Alpha- global city with strengths in commerce, finance, media, art, fashion, research, technology, education, and entertainment. It is Hungary's financial centre and the highest ranked Central and Eastern European city on Innovation Cities Top 100 index, as well ranked as the second fastest-developing urban economy in Europe. Budapest is the headquarters of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, the European Police College[35] and the first foreign office of the China Investment Promotion Agency. Over 40 colleges and universities are located in Budapest, including the Eötvös Loránd University, the Semmelweis University and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Opened in 1896, the city's subway system, the Budapest Metro, serves 1.27 million, while the Budapest Tram Network serves 1.08 million passengers daily.
Budapest is cited as one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, ranked as the world's second best city by Condé Nast Traveler, and Europe's 7th most idyllic place to live by Forbes. Among Budapest's important museums and cultural institutions is the Museum of Fine Arts. Further famous cultural institutions are the Hungarian National Museum, House of Terror, Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Hungarian State Opera House and National Széchényi Library. The central area of the city along the Danube River is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many notable monuments, including the Hungarian Parliament, Buda Castle, Fisherman's Bastion, Gresham Palace, Széchenyi Chain Bridge, Matthias Church and the Liberty Statue.[45] Other famous landmarks include Andrássy Avenue, St. Stephen's Basilica, Heroes' Square, the Great Market Hall, the Nyugati Railway Station built by the Eiffel Company of Paris in 1877 and the second-oldest metro line in the world, the Millennium Underground Railway. The city also has around 80 geothermal springs, the largest thermal water cave system, second largest synagogue, and third largest Parliament building in the world. Budapest attracts 4.4 million international tourists per year, making it a popular destination in Europe.

Kajak, Duna, Római | Avagy vízre szállás Budapest északi határán, a Rómaifürdőnél | | Gaba_VR
A Római-part Budapest északi, danaparti része, amit eddig elsősorban kis sétányáról, büféiről ismertem.

The Legacy of the Remenyi Family - Museum of Music History, Budapest 2018
In 1890, Mihaly Remenyi a newly appointed master violin maker opened a tiny violin shop in this native city of Budapest, Hungary. The violin shop was accredited for fine craftsmanship and expertise and was known for several inventions and patents including a tone escalating violin bass bar, and the Resonator, an early version of today's shoulder rest. It became the country's largest music store appointed as suppliers to the Royal Court and major musical institutions throughout Austria-Hungary.
Surviving two World Wars and economic & political upheavals, the business was confiscated in 1951 when the communist regime terminated private enterprise. The firm was re-established by Zoltan Remenyi upon immigrating to Canada in 1959.
For more details, read the full history of the Remenyi legacy on our website:
