The Cascades Walk- Royal Natal National Park, SA.
Early in December we took a quick Suday afternoon stroll with two of our dear friends. The Cascade trail is a short and easy walk that I will almost go as far as to say it is wheelchair friendly, but don't quote me on that.
The Cascade trail is a broadly paved trail up to the bridge (not the first bridge where a car can pass) where you can continue on a rocky path. This is just one of the trails offered at the Royal Natal National park, there are many more that vary in degrees of difficulty.

Thendele Camp - Royal Natal National Park
Thendele Camp, located in the northern Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal and is part of the uKahlamba Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage site. Thendele Camp is made of two accommodation units, the older original camp – Lower Camp Thendele, and the more recently built, Upper Camp. In addition there is Thendele Lodge located slightly away from the camps.

Northern Drakensberg - Royal Natal National Park
a short but well spent time away from home, venturing to the Royal Natal National Park in the Northern Drakensberg Mountains.
We stayed over in the Mahai Campsite from where we completed the Gudu Falls Hike, via Lookout Rock and the Gudu Bush and finished the loop back the other way down to Camp.
Awesome experience and adventure and I would recommend it to anyone who has not yet been there.
Life is an Adventure...Don't miss it!

Royal Natal and Sentinel Peak -Tugela Waterfall origin hike (South Africa) March 2017
Definitely something to check off your bucket list - Sentinel Peak and the Tugela Waterfall (the Second highest waterfall in the world!)
Camping in the Rugged Glen camping site in the Royal Natal National nature reserve was spectacular: A true hikers paradise.
Various hiking trails start and end here at the camp site as well as at the Mahai camping site.
On our first day we decided to go up 'the crack' and come down the mountain via 'the mudslides'.
We stopped for lunch and a brisk swim at the GooDoo falls, and did some exhilarating cliff diving, although we only went up half way- Still scary enough to give off some adrenalin.
The next day we decided to drive to Sentinel peak car park, parked our car and made our way up the peak , up the ever so famous chainladder and had lunch in the clouds at the Tugela falls. Truly an unforgettable experience.
Will definitely go back again on a day with less clouds to have an even more spectacular view.

The film crew created a River Dam which I believe like the other props had to be removed at the end of the Film. The Parks Board wanted to this site to be returned to its original condition

KwaZulu-Natal Trip (South Africa) - Day 1 - Golden Gate and Royal Natal - Versys + Tenere
The Motomules did a trip through the KwaZulu-Natal province in South Africa. Our first day started off by meeting up in Clarens in the Freestate province and making our way down to the Royal Natal National Park through the Golden Gate National Park.
This video serves as an intro to an amazing trip with much more offroad exploring through mountain passes and backroads to find the hidden gems in the country.

The Amphitheatre is one of the geographical features of the Northern Drakensberg of KZN in South Africa. The Amphitheatre is over 5 kilometers in length. The highest point of the mountain is over 3 000 meters above sea level. The Tugela Falls, the worlds second tallest falls, plunges over 948m from the Amphitheatre's cliff tops.
