Union Oyster House Boston Seafood Clam Chowder Restaurant at 41-43 Union Street Boston Massachusetts
Union Oyster House Boston a famous Seafood and Clam Chowder Restaurant at 41-43 Union Street Boston Massachusetts. The video shows the restaurant sign in a busy Union Street, with two Irish flags on another building emphasising the strong connection to Ireland in Boston - - The following Wikipedia articles cover details about this famous restaurant - Ye Olde Union Oyster House, open to diners since 1826, is the oldest restaurant in the United States of America. It is located at 41-43 Union Street, Boston, Massachusetts. The building was listed as a National Historic Landmark on May 27, 2003. The building itself was built prior to 1714, most likely in 1704. Before it became a restaurant, Hopestill Capen's dress goods business occupied the property. In 1771 printer Isaiah Thomas published his newspaper, The Massachusetts Spy, from the second floor. The restaurant originally opened as the Atwood & Bacon Oyster House on August 3, 1826. With such a long and illustrious history, the Union Oyster House has had its share of famous people in history as diners, including the Kennedy clan and Daniel Webster. Perhaps most surprising, in 1796 Louis Philippe, king of France from 1830 to 1848, lived in exile on the second floor. He earned his living by teaching French to young women. America's first waitress, Rose Carey, worked there starting in the early 1920s. Her picture is on the wall on the stairway up to the second floor. Labor economist and president of Haverford College John Royston Coleman worked here incognito as a salad-and-sandwich man for a time in the 1970s and documented the experience in his book The Blue Collar Journal. The food is traditional New England fare, including seafoods such as oysters, clams, and lobsters, as well as poultry, baked beans, steak and chops. The toothpick was said to have been popularized in America starting at the Oyster House. The article link is on
Pedestrian Killed after Fatal collision with a fire engine in Royston
Royston,Hertfordshire Thursday 19th January 2017 A pedestrian has suffered fatal injuries and sadly died after a collision with a fire engine.
Police are investigating the incident which occurred on a roundabout at the junction in York Way and Old North Road, Royston at 8.45pm this evening.
Ambulance services also confirmed that another person has been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with minor injuries.Circumstances surrounding the collision are still unclear, but police have reported that the fire engine was responding to an emergency call while negotiating the roundabout, before colliding with the pedestrian.
The fire engine is currently in the road and closures are in place at the roundabout and in Rock Road, with the junction of Old North Road and by the Tesco Superstore.
Andrew Fowler, from Barrington, a village in Cambridgeshire, told the News: “There’s a fire engine turned over. And that’s on the second roundabout. It’s a whole mass of blue flashing lights, including ambulance services and another fire engine.
Apparently it’s on the far roundabout from the Tesco's as you come off the 505 at the first roundabout. That is one hell of a piece of equipment to go over.
Alec Hill, a resident in Lindsay Close, Royston, a couple of hundred yards away from the incident: “My daughter and I witnessed the scene. We walked by from Tesco and saw the incident and the controls.
“We were sent away from the police. I asked if it was because of injuries, and he said yes.
“It’s pretty obvious that if a fire engine goes off on its side then someone’s injured. There must have been around 10 to 15 emergency vehicles. We got that far on our walk and were then sent away.”
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call tonight at 8.44pm to reports of an RTC in Royston.
“We dispatched our hazardous area response team (HART), an ambulance officer, ambulance crew, and air ambulance from the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) charity.
“Sadly a pedestrian has been pronounced dead at the scene whilst a second patient has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with minor injuries.”
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: Police in North Herts are currently investigating a road traffic collision which occurred on the roundabout at the junction with York Way and Old North Road in Royston at 8.45pm on Wednesday January 18.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are still unclear, but it appears a fire engine, which was responding to an emergency call, was in collision with a pedestrian whilst negotiating the roundabout. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and sadly died at the scene.
The fire engine is currently still in the road and closures are in place at the roundabout and in Rock Road with the junction of Old North Road and the roundabout by the Tesco Superstore.”©UKNIP

'Royston Cave - Grapevine of the Knights Templar'
Dan Green descends into the Royston Cave, Hertfordshire, England, deep
below the Roi Stone marker, to reveal the encrypted story contained on
the heiroglyphic carvings of the Knights Templar. The Templars
worshipped a 'head' - a play on pun of their Code, concealing that
they worshipped 'ahead', being custodians of far reaching advanced
knowlege allowing them access to undiscovered science, astronomy and
biology. Green explains the Templar carvings to reveal the story of
the Mary-Jesus-child bloodline and its connexion to the Dog Star

Heritage home moves from Victoria to Royston
ROYSTON - A Comox Valley family pulled off one the biggest moves in the history of Vancouver Island.
The family hired Nickel Brothers, a house moving company, to move a two-story, heritage home in Victoria to the small seaside town of Royston.
The journey took three days with the house traveling more than 200 KM up island. The house was loaded on a barge in Victoria and moved up island where it was unloaded just a block away from its final destination.
The entire move was filmed by a British documentary crew and will appear in an upcoming episode of Massive Moves.
