Nikolajevska crkva ima još nekoliko značajnih obeležja po kojima je upamte i domaći i strani turisti.

In architectural terms, the church is characteristic of baroque churches built in Vojvodina and the Military Frontier along the eighteenth century. The original bell tower was damaged by a fire in 1867, was restored in 1870. The church of Saint-Nicolas is the oldest Orthodox church in the old center of Zemun and one of the oldest religious buildings in the territory of the City of Belgrade

Tada Crkva i dobija svoj današnji izgled.
What to see in Novi Sad, Vojvodina, Serbia | MUST WATCH Exit festival, Youth and Cultural capital
In this video, we explore the city center of Novi Sad. Novi Sad is the capital of Vojvodina, Serbia, and the city of Exit Festival. It is also the European Youth Capital of 2019 and will be European Cultural Capital in 2021. Enjoy in beautiful Danube park, Catholic and Orthodox cathedrals, Town House, and more.
In order of appearance, you will see:
- Our first start is Dunavski (Danube's park). This park is the oldest and most beautiful park in Novi Sad. The first trees were planted in the 19th century.
- Dunavska Street is probably the oldest street in Novi Sad. On the left side of the street, houses are in neo-baroque style. In the video, at the end of the Dunavska streets, on the right side, there is the city library in the house that was built in 1895.
- Zmaj Jovina Street is one of the oldest streets in Novi Sad. It extends from Freedom Square to the bishop's palace. The street was once a place with a number of craft and trade shops, and it was called Magazinska alley. At the start of the street, in front of the bishop's house, since 1984, there is a monument of Jovan Jovanovic Zmaj, the most famous children's poet, after which street bears its name. Lined with shops and sidewalk cafes, it is the very place for a coffee or light lunch.
- Trg Slobode (Freedom Square) is the largest central city square, built in the 18th century. On the west side of the square is the Town Hall built in 1895th in Neo-Renaissance style, designed by architect George Molnar. On the opposite side of the square, is a tall Catholic church “Name of Mary”. It was built in 1895th in Neo-Gothic style. Its Neo-Gothic architecture is quite striking, and if you happen to get lost you could always find your way back to Liberty Square by using the church as a landmark.
- Laze Teleckog is the upbeat street of Novi Sad urban life, full of cafés, restaurants, pizzerias, clubs, and shops. Houses mostly have one floor, they are colorful and built-in Austro-Hungarian style.
- Grčkoškolska street (The Greek School street) is one of the oldest in Novi Sad. The street was named after the Greek school, the house at no. 3, which was founded by the Greek Communities, residing in Novi Sad in 1739.
- Pašićeva street, named after famous Serbian and Yugoslav politician and diplomat Nikola Pašić who was the most important Serbian political figure for almost 40 years, from 1890 to 1926. In this street is The Cathedral Church of the Holy Great-Martyr George. This Orthodox Cathedral is the seat of the Serbian Orthodox Eparchy of Bačka. The present-day church was completed in 1905, on the ruins of a church built in 1734 and destroyed in 1849. It is located next to the Eparchy offices in the Bishop's Palace, in Nikola Pašić Street. It is commonly known as Saborna crkva ('Cathedral Church') among the city residents
- Finally, we reach Boulevard of Mihailo Pupin, famous scientist. There is the building of the government of Vojvodina. It is the executive organ of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, within the Republic of Serbia. The building where is the seat of the Government of Vojvodina is known as Banovina Palace. The building was erected on an area of 28,000 square meters, with a length of 185 meters and 5 floors. The complex consists of two buildings. One contains 147 rooms, and the other (horseshoe) 569 special departments. The building façade is made of Brac marble. Working couple Baranji made the sculptures, reliefs with figures of King Peter I, King Alexander, Radomir Putnik, Stepa Stepanovic, Zivojin Misic, and stylized logos with animal motifs on the administration building.
Novi Sad (in Serbian Cyrillic: Нови Сад, pronounced [nôʋiː sâːd]; in Hungarian: Újvidék [ˈuːjvideːk]; in Slovak: Nový Sad; in Rusyn: Нови Сад; in German: Neusatz) is an amazing city! The city looks great every month of the year.

Exploring Sremski Karlovci town of wine, spirituality and culture |near Novi Sad and Belgrade Serbia
This video is about Sremski Karlovci, the town you can see when you are in Novi Sad or Belgrade or anywhere else near Vojvodina and Serbia. Sremski Karlovci is situated on the bank of the river Danube, 8 kilometers (5 miles) from Novi Sad. We start from Novi Sad, pass through Petrovaradin and explore the center of Sremski Karlovci, the Royal garden, the monastery and more.
In ancient times, a small Roman fortress existed at this location. The town itself was first mentioned in 1308, under the name of Karom. Its Serbian name, Karlovci was first recorded in 1532/3. The town has traditionally been known as the seat of the Serbian Orthodox Church in the Habsburg Monarchy, as well as the political and cultural capital of Serbian Vojvodina after the May Assembly and during the Revolution in 1848.
We start from Novi Sad, pass Petrovaradin old and new town and Petrovaradin fortress. In Sremski Karlovci we start from Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary monastery. The church of the Presentation, commonly called Upper Church due to its position on top of a smaller hill in town, was completed in 1764.
The second stop is the awesome Royal garden. The complex of the Royal Garden is situated in the town, 500 m away from the town center. It is one of the oldest botanical gardens in our country. It consists of two levels: sports and recreational facilities are situated on the upper level and walking lanes in the lower one.
Then, we go to the center and the first building is Karlovci Theological Seminary. Orthodox Theological Seminary in Karlovci was founded in 1794, the second one in the world (Kievan Seminary being the first).
Patriarch's Court is one of the most monumental XIX-century buildings of Vojvodina. It was completed in 1895 and it served as the residence of the Patriarch of Karlovci, and later as the summer residence of the Patriarch of Serbia after the reunification of the Serbian Orthodox Church in 1920. The Court today houses the Museum of Serbian Orthodox Church, and it is also the current residence of the Orthodox bishop of the Eparchy of Srem.
Cathedral Church of Saint Nicholas dedicated to the Translation of Relics of Saint Nicholas (22 May), was erected in 1762. It is considered to be one of the masterpieces of Serbian baroque.
Located right next to the Orthodox Cathedral Church, the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity was completed in 1768. Its portal is considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of baroque portals in Serbia.
Karlovci High School is the oldest Serbian high school was founded in Karlovci in 1791. The building houses an impressive library with many books of great importance to the history of Serbs in Austria-Hungary.
The Magistrate of Sremski Karlovci (town hall) is one of the most historical buildings in town. It was completed in 1811 in the neo-classicist style, and for most of its history, it served as the seat of the Town and Municipal Assembly.
What you can buy? My suggestion is Bermet wine as here is the only place on the Earth where Bermet wine is produced. It is a traditional desert aromatic wine that has been produced in this region for centuries. At first, it was used as a remedy. However, with the passing of time, due to its exceptional taste, it was made for pleasure as well. Vienna Court was buying Bermet from the local winemakers in advance and at high prices. From the middle of the 19th century, it was being exported regularly, even to America. Bermet is a sweet red wine with a high percentage of alcohol (16% - 17%). However, it is the superb taste that distinguishes this wine from the others. The taste is derived from medicinal herbs, spices and dry fruit that are added to it during the process of production. The Ministry of Agriculture declared Bermet from Fruška Gora as a new protected brand of Serbia in 2007.
