If you are planning to go for an Egypt tour make sure you plan one day tour to White and Black Desert, Cairo. It is nature at it's best. You reach Bahariya Oasis by any local car that departs from bus station, Cairo or book a trip from any tour agency. It is 4-5 hrs drive. So depart at 6 am. Once you reach Oasis, my friend Badr will serve you lunch and post lunch around 2-3pm. With Land Cruiser you left for the White Desert venture with one night camping in tent in white desert with dinner included and BBQ chicken and vegetables and fruits for dinner. Sleeping in a tent and sleeping bag amidst desert will be an unique experience. Next day morning there will be breakfast and will visit black desert and some other beautiful spots and you reach Oasis by 11 am. By 11.30 am you leave and reach Cairo by 4-5 pm.
We Tried Egypt Street Food | Must Eat Local Dishes in Cairo
Trying Egyptian Food in Cairo - it's our second day here in Cairo, Egypt and we thought we would head on out to try some of the local Egyptian and Middle Eastern Food.
To get our pallet ready we tried Ma'An Sulta (Salad water), before getting some prickly fruit from a street food cart. We then headed to Felfela, a famous restaurant here in Cairo to have some Turkish coffee, Shorbet 'ads (lentil soup), baba ganoush (eggplant dip), ful, besara and Betinjan Maqli.
On the way to our next restaurant we tried arabic coffee for the first time, hibiscus juice as well as some white Egyptian Sobia drink before trying some home cooked Bamya.
Before we tried the most famus Egyptian dish, we had some Baskote Yansoon as we made our way towards the end of downtown to try Koshari...I am not sure how we had space for desert but managed to squeeze in Konafa, Basbousa and more...we are officially full!

After spending quality time at the Egyptian Museum , we decided to come and shop at Khan el-Khalili. This is probably the most Instagram-able place in Cairo!!! BTW, at the museum (Episode 6) I got to see the mummy in real life. It was very fascinating. The busy time to come is around sunset time in the afternoon. If you want to spend more time buying souvenirs, i would suggest to come a hour early than plan. Also, you have to know how to bargain cuz they will rack up the prices for tourists. We got a really good bargain for those original paintings cuz our guide was really good plus my uncle was like the king of bargaining! From Hussein Street to Muizz Street, there were a lot of things to see and experience. If I have another chance, I will go over there again! Thank you for watching!
